It definitely would. Assuming we get into another game where we have a lead or a tie going into the fourth quarter, I loved the strategy of running Chubb for 3 quarters and then throwing in a fresh Hunt in the 4th quarter. I know it was the Bengals, but it worked great against them. It was like they couldn't do anything to stop it.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."
I want to see them both in the backfield at the same time. A rested Chubb and running folks side to side can help us. Tretter is special, playing through a lot of junk. Respect for the man. Props.
Hope Chubb is back soon. Suppose we see with OBJ out for the year that BM goes off and lights it up. I am wondering what might be getting wondered by the analytics if it happened. Hope Landry and Hollywood carry un forward.

outstanding. Without chubb we really aren’t that stout. Hunt has done his best, but Chubb is our workhorse and Hunt benefits from being the receiving type back

Well, I think that I might start him . . . . Should be rested up. Fresh legs for the home stretch, Hunt needs some help; he has really done what he can.
I have really missed Chubb's runs.

Good point Bard ... the silver lining is Chubb just had 6 weeks off that he wouldn’t have

Glad Chubb is close to returning because we are a better team w/him. I disagree w/some folks though a bit though on the why of aren't running as well lately. I think that has more to do w/teams loading the box because they know running the football is our strength and also Teller was doing a great job of run blocking.

I'm hoping Teller comes back soon, he will make a big difference in the run game

We have a young corner and three young linebackers who have probably not played 35 games between the four. And yet we have folks who want to declare them busts, wasted draft picks, etc. how about we give these guys a chance to develop. They could turn in to valuable pieces in our defense after we add some impact players in the off season.

When a top draft pick can't get on the field, he is a bust. Remember Courtney Brown?
I remember Courtney buthehas nothing to do with our young defenders. Williams is the only one taken in the 2nd round, the lb’s were 3,4 and 5 I believe. Greedy played in 12 games last year and was injured the other four. He started at least some of those games so he did see the field.
He may prove so injury prone as to not be valuable to us,but his quality of play should improve with experience. Other teams develop their draft picks. We need to do the same
I think I would rather have Chubb wait another week before playing. j/
Why?
I believe he is still wearing a brace on his knee. 1 week makes a big difference especially with the sleet and snow coming
If the medics people say he needs another week, give him another week. If they say he’s ready, he’s ready. This isn’t Stefanski and Chubb making this decision.

I am once again blown away about how humble and grounded Nick appears.

When we reach the point where when teams load up the box and dare us to throw the ball we make them pay a heavy price this offense will be unstoppable. We are nearly there. Hearing the coaches say they are going to be doing some schematic changes in the second half is also encouraging. They had to learn the players their strengths and weaknesses. This offense by and large is well schemed and the key ingredient is great/good execution. That IMO is the benchmark of a good scheme and of a well coached team, very encouraging.
Teller being out has hurt the offense in the run game he is a road grader who has real mean streak. But it's hard not to see that Chubb is an elite RB. While Hunt too is very good he is no Chubb. They are clearly and without question (bias) the best 1-2 punch in the NFL, in fact it's not even close. We really missed Chubb In the Raider game with the wind and weather not having Chubb cost us the game.
Overall I am encouraged, the direction is up. We have some issues on the defensive side of the ball that are NOT going to get better without better talent I do believe so that will set how limited we will be against better teams that have a better balance.
Oh and I think we are a better team without OBJ, that doesn't however mean I don't respect his talent because I do he just doesn't fit this offense or this offense doesn't fit him ??? But being honest we are at this point trying to get a round peg in a square hole.
