Stolen from a facebook post:
The Other 98% 8tShpounsdhoretd · "A day in the Life of Sue Republican. Sue gets up at 6 a.m. and fills her coffeepot with water to prepare her morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With her first swallow of coffee, she takes her daily medication. Her medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to insure their safety and that they work as advertised. All but $10 of her medications are paid for by her employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Sue gets it too. She prepares her morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Sue's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry. In the shower, Sue reaches for her shampoo. Her bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for her right to know what she was putting on her body and how much it contained. Sue dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air she breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. She walks to the subway station for her government-subsidized ride to work. It saves her considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor. Sue begins her work day. She has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Sue's employer pays these standards because Sue's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Sue is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, she'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think she should lose her home because of her temporary misfortune. It's noon and Sue needs to make a bank deposit so she can pay some bills. Sue's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Sue's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression. Sue has to pay her Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and her below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Sue and the government would be better off if she was educated and earned more money over her lifetime. Sue is home from work. She plans to visit her father this evening at his farm home in the country. She gets in her car for the drive. Her car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards. She arrives at her childhood home. Her generation was the third to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification. She is happy to see her father, who is now retired. Her father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Sue wouldn't have to. Sue gets back in her car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Sue enjoys throughout her day. Sue agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm self-made and believe everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have."

If people tell you they want to do something you should believe them. Trump said he wants to build a wall, and he's spent considerable effort trying to build a wall, if he gets his way there will be a wall.
The Biden Harris ticket, the liberals, the democrats in general, have said they want to fundamentally transform America into a socialist state,
(Don't believe me, check out their 2nd primary debate way back months ago, with Booker, and Warren, and Yang, and Buttigegg on the stage with the two ticket mates Biden and Harris and the likes, including Bernie.
Listen to what they had to say, Bernie, that night, advocated overthrowing wall street by force, go back and watch his words...
Can anyone imagine raising the next generation of children, in a Country, where the democrat party gets it's way, and becomes a one party tyranny of the democrat and the suppression of all other thought, liberty, or freedom, at the expense of "salute to the party" Democrat before country?
The Libs,... Don't like that the American people, voted to put constitutionists on the Supreme court, soo...
Don't get their way, the Democrats plan to change the rules, in a very hostile action to increase the numbers of seats on the supreme court of the USA, A very same Supreme Court where the Democrat leftie crazy libs have used single decision to RULE Against the Expresseed voted will of the people and popular opinion nationally in the past, ( In making a legalization of homosexual marriage)
The Democrats, crazy libs, Didn't get their way, because the American people quite frankly are fed up and had enough of their BS, so the People voted a majority of Republican Conservatives, or folks who claimed to be, to the United States Senate. The Libs don't like listening to the will of voters, so they'll change that, (screw that), the Libs, have said they'll go to a place they hoarded together and add Senate seats to the Senate where people vote democrat, so they'll not have to listen to the nation, As The Libs have told you, they will RAM TRHOUGH STATEHOOD FOR WASH. DC. AND Peurto Rico, to Ram through Democrat Only (Salute to the party, before the country) awful ideas.
The Democrats teach children racism, in the name of stopping racism, by telling White children to shut up and listen, while black people spout about how every problem in their life is because someone else was born with white skin, and claim they are not racist.
The Democrats want to take down anything American, in the welcoming idea of claiming it's not the USA, it's some international community that we live in.
The Democrats have come out against the nuclear family, A Mom and Dad having Kids, they are of the thinking that the Government community raises children because children don't belong to parents, but are free to be taken away by the state, at some judges will.
Judges,... The democrats have already, added seats, in a ploy to "change the rules instead of find a way to win" added seats to the DC appellete court.
If someone tells you what they intend to do, listen to them. If you vote for the democrats, you are voting to end the United States of America, for some socialist, Tyranical idealism.
The liberals have said they intend to shut down the economy of the USA, as well as prop up China's economy.
The liberals have said they want to spend (trillions, equal to some years gdp) to tear down every building in the united states, in the name of making green buildings instead of regular ones.
The Liberals have said they want to set up new courts, (and this is not the first time) but increase judges all over all the medium and lower courts across the country, so no just increase the supreme court, All so they can get around the will of voters, and the people who live in the USA, so by edict, they can (with the premise of safety and ecology) dictate every waking action of every individual in the Country and probably lock up millions who disagree with them.
And with Satelite technology, in 2020, it's possible they could accomplish it, if they are not stopped.
When people say they intend to do something, take them at their word.
It's time to STAND UP STEP IN, AND STOP THE CRAZY LIBERALS!
Only YOUR Vote, can save America
It's time we have an "intervention" between America, and what the Crazy libs want to do to turn America into a socialist dictatorship.

I went back to read some of that first post. laugh! Did you pull this out of Granpa's attic it mentions the FSLIC,
Savings and loans? That went Kaput in 1986-1990 time.
The FSLIC, crashed when the Browns were in AFC Championship games, it's only the FDIC anymore, this Original post, must have been copy'd and pasted from a Commodore 64, or other computer from 32 years ago.
Maybe not, maybe I'm mis identifying what it's talking about when it says here bank deposit is protected by the FSLIC, laughing, crazy

I can refute that original post with just referring to it's very last line, "sue" (see, what's about to happen is an illustration of how the Libs, don't even respect the average person enough to allow the individual to define themeself,
the libs, crazy mind, thinks Their own Liberaly colored sunglasses wearing preconceived notion is the only notion that can define Sues identity, Not Sue Herself, because the LIBs, crazy mind, doesn't truly believe Sue, has any human-hood, therefore, the Lib defines Sue, for Sue, and illustrates how they totally dismiss Sue's humanity, Because Lib mind thinks, that Sue thinks, (whether correct or not) .. as I quote the last line of the post "After all, I'm self-made and believer everyone should take care of themselves just like I have."

Crazy libs, well as a LIFE LONG Republican I voted Biden AND I didn't vote for Trump or Hillary in the 2016 election....both were/are unfit.
Republicans suppressing votes- Last week Greg Abbott, the Republican governor of Texas, ordered counties to close extra drop-off sites for absentee votes until they have only one each. The move means that the 4.7m residents of Harris County, which surrounds Houston, will all have to converge on the same drop-box if they wish to cast an absentee vote in person. Such restrictions might make sense for Loving County (population 169), but the decision could deter many of Harris’s majority non-white and urban folk from voting. The story is similar in the state’s other cities.
In my retirement community we have Trump supporters stealing signs out of front lawns.
The country is nuts. Our current President is smarter than his medical advisors, so smart he got the virus. He's so smart he's of the 10 percent of population who things the world climate change is NATURAL. Yet rest of world thinks we have Global Warming....as the folks down in La. with no electric and hurricane after hurricane if things are NORMAL.
Wish I had the power, flat tax for everyone rich and poor, then we wouldn't have BILLIONARES paying less than myself.
Love our President, because God says I must, but I dislike his constant firing of competent folks he hired because they tell him the truth, his constant tweeting, his "fake news" cry when anything is not what he wants to here....he's such a Christian he broke up families and has divided the country more than ANY President in history. AND the Republican right thought Obamo wouldn't had over power peacefully, well let's see if Trump does when the gets his butt beat BADLY. Go Biden, I predict a landslide for the Democrats cuz Republicans have smoke the cult pipe on Trump and he's LOSER.

I actually think that all of the shenanigans with the Post Office, drop off boxes, and deadlines to count ballots may backfire and actually increase voter turn out. It should not be that way, but one thing for sure. These actions get covered by the news, and people become aware that Trump is messing with your right to vote.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!…. That did not age well.

A long time ago, Republicans helped pass the Clean Air and Clean Water act.
Regan actually strengthened the Clean Water Act.
Times are a lot different now, but I reject the premise that doing the right thing is a liberal motive.

Should not be that way.....why not. Citizens can't get off of work on a specific day. The common man/woman, I want them to vote and in a modern society we should make it easy for every CITIZEN to vote. It's going to be crazy because of all the conspiracy believers.
And our history, Kennedy over Nixon...Chicago voting, etc. But, who knows about Bush vs Gore....life doesn't change much.

Mail-in ballots, early voting weeks ahead of time, and poll day. And around here there are ride share programs offering free rides to polling locations for those that need it.

While there are states who make it easy, there are also states that make it purposefully hard. Just take a look at Texas. One drop off box in a county with 4.7 million people that is the size of Rhode Island.
Many people no longer trust voting by mail whether that is founded or not is a different discussion. But when they start removing mail sorting machines just months before the election is to take place I think it's easy to see why people would not trust mailing it in and would want to use a drop off box.
That's the complete picture here. It's not every state trying to make it hard. Just some. But it is happening.

I understand that, but voting has been getting more convenient in the last decade than it had ever been.
Based on what I see, read, and people I talk to, the vast majority of people have known who they were voting for, for months. So why delay sending in, or placing their vote?
I'm not saying there aren't some people who still have faced challenges, but a large majority of American voters have had ample opportunity and methods to perform this simple task.
The date has been known since the beginning. The window of opportunity to complete the task has been long enough that no one should have any excuse not to get their vote in by next Tuesday.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

I don't actually disagree with the point you are making. I do however feel each state should have a date with which your ballot must be postmarked by so there is no confusion. If it's postmarked by that date, your vote counts. If after that date, it doesn't.
I feel if that isn't done it breeds confusion. I mean by your logic every voter should be voting early. I mean why wait right up until election day if your mind is already made up? So I would think the same rule should apply to mail in votes. If it's postmarked before or on election day, it counts.
I mean if not, it's left up to each individual as to how long they think it will take their ballot to get there via mail. Would it be three days, five days, a week, 10 days?
I'm for something reasonable as long as it's defined.

Normally most states require a postmark by election day. That may change in the future. Some states do not allow counting prior to election day. That creates quite a mess if 50 percent of the ballots are sent by mail.

One drop off box in a county with 4.7 million people that is the size of Rhode Island. The integrity of Ballots cast, (what we have here), is very precious. Just like the custody chain of drug test samples in the infamous cases of whether Baseball greats of the past used steroids, or performance enhancing drugs, (Names like Daryl Strawberry, Mark Mgwire, or Barry Bonds) Having only one drop box, makes this precious process secure against cheating. Surely, democrat apologists, with their billionaire financiers backing them, would have little trouble making sure every single democrat voter in that county can have the opportunity to get to that drop box. I'd bet there are 2 other ways for those county residents to cast their votes in more traditional ways, among them, showing up to their local poll on voting day. However! If a small collection of nerdewells, intent on fraud, want to ballot harvest 100's of ballots each, and drop them inconspicuously in a multitude of locations, later to yell count them! count them! count them! It would disrupt the very precious process of ensuring the integrity of making sure only one vote is cast, per person, and that each vote that is cast, actually came from a real person, a living person, a registered person, and an identity verified person. Therefore, it is the purest of heart mesure to Limit the voting process, to as few options as possible, that keeps it simple for everybody, and is ready, accessible, and without suppression for anybody. And secures the integrity of the vote, against fraud. Because if ONE FAKE VOTE is cast, then every Real Vote is devalued.

Yeah, that's it. It couldn't be to make it harder for poor people with no transportation to vote.

I simply cannot remember an election where absentee/mail in voting was more available, if one so chose to do so. If that was the route you chose, there was absolutely more than ample time to get your ballot in, be it by mail, or dropping it off yourself. Can't drop it off? Mail it. It's never been easier.

Dan Quayle was a much more vocal and visable president during his 4 years as Bush 41s VP, than Biden was as Obamas Vp for 8 years.
In 4 years, Quayle, got in a twitter war, would be today, with Murphy Brown over teen pregnancy, iirc, and misspelled potato, iirc, and was visible in speeches and events, and a campaigner in the "war on drugs" iirc, (all this is off my head,)
But MUCH more, much more visible than the ALMOST INVISIBLE Biden was for 8!!! years as VP., twice the amount of time.
edit: to add. I used to wonder whether Obama was going to allow Biden a chance to even Speak!

Because there’s an active pandemic and Biden limits the amount of people showing up, while you’re guy packs them in together like Chinese immigrants in a connex. One shows responsibility. The other is acting like a reality tv star.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
- Theodore Roosevelt

You are too smart than to stand wholeheartedly by the argument your first paragraph makes. Biden stops any and all democrats from showing up because he's got them all on speedial, individually, While Trump, logically sends supporters not for his own rally but to a Biden one. --against immigrants now?-- ---- and Chargerdog, When I grasp the straws gasp.

Very Reaganesque, not doubt. But it's Dan Quayle. Potato, potatoe.

Except, you can clearly see in the video, the black truck was being run off the road by the white biden supporter. The black truck said "no, you won't run me off the road. I've yielded enough, I'm coming back."
You know, like you always claim to want a discussion, but attack instead, and you say "I give as I get", while you're the one giving it first.
