John 3:16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
...and he was Canadian. I remember when he became the host of Jeopardy! and thought it would flop without Art Fleming. The show really was a significant daily event in our house.
And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul. - John Muir
RIP to a great person and game show host. A true icon for the world.
He’s been in my living room every night for my life
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
Wasn't he fighting cancer for a few years? RIP Alex....
He announced he had pancreatic cancer sometime last year (2019). Sounds like he made it at least a year or more, which is really good. I had a friend, who was only 48 years old, that was diagnosed with the same thing July (2019) and passed in January (2020). Cancer can F off.
As for Alex, RIP.

The final episode of “Jeopardy!” hosted by Trebek will air on Christmas Day 2020. His last day in the studio as the host was filmed on Oct. 29, 2020.
According to The New York Post, Trebek was asked who he felt should replace him as the host of the game show after him.
“It’s probably going to be a woman, somebody younger, somebody bright, somebody personable, somebody with a great sense of humor,” he said at the 92nd Street Y, joking, “So I nominated Betty White.”
Joking aside, he went on to seriously suggest CNN’s Laura Coates, L.A. Kings announcer Alex Faust and TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz as worthwhile successors to fill his massive shoes as “Jeopardy!” host.
I think Ken Jennings might be the choice, but that’s such a tough role to fill. He’ll really be missed

This was a daily thing in our house. Jeopardy then Wheel of Fortune. My grandfather would have a slice of Longhorn cheese and a Stroh's beer when it came on. His last act on this planet was to open his beer and take one sip of the beer. What a way to end it. I read today George Stephanopoulos is pushing CBS to take over the show.

If I'm an executive at the network, I'm offering someone the job and then running to make a $1M bet.
I don't understand why people don't do that more often (assuming we'd ever know). For example, the person signing the national anthem at the Super Bowl, there's a prop bet for the length of the song and what color suit/dress they'll wear. Boom, easy money since you can control that.

Jeopardy executive producer Mike Richards released a statement on Monday saying the show would resume production on November 30. The show will resume with Ken Jennings, a former contestant who was deemed the “Greatest of All Time” in January, as the first to guest host following Trebek’s death. Other guest hosts will be announced in the future.
