So a spring classic comes to the fall this weekend. Staring tomorrow.
I don’t watch a ton of golf but the Masters is typically on my tv every spring. There’s something about seeing Augusta that harkens in the thoughts of warm weather on the horizon. This year the event will have a really different feel. It’ll be interesting to see a galley-less Augusta at a different time of year. A rare fall glimpse for all us poor schlubs that don’t hold memberships.
I don’t really care who plays. Or who wins. I just want to see the course and know that COVID didn’t rob us of another thing in 2020.

I live an hour away from Augusta. The temperatures have been in the high 70s to mid 80s this past week. It was muggy today. The dew point was 71 or 72. It rained off and on today after a long dry spell. I think there is a 90 to 100 percent chance of rain tomorrow w/a high temp of around 80. Should not be any rain on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Around 80 on Fri and Sun. Low 70s on Saturday. I do worry that tomorrow could get washed out.

No azalais or other spring blossoms this time of the year. The pines will be shedding. The deciduous trees are just starting to change colors.

It's a bit warmer than normal for this time of the year. Usually in low 70s and glorious. A bit muggy right now.

Looking forward to it! I remember when they first rescheduled it I thought, “Man, that’s SO FAR AWAY” ... well, here we go. The Masters in NOVEMBER

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

The horn just blew at Augusta National.

It looks like thunderstorms are on the way.

My favourite golf tournament, and the only one played at the same course every year.... and what a beautiful course it is.

The back nine, with so much risk/reward, is as fun as golf gets.

I used to dislike Tiger, but he’s been kicked around by life - and himself - that he’s a sentimental fave and I wouldn’t be upset if he won another one.

Can’t wait to watch it!

The golf gods are unhappy the Masters is being played in November. tongue

Although, I'd think they would be happy it's being played at all, given the circumstances.

The sun is coming out where I live, so I imagine it's getting nice in Augusta.

My father had me golfing when I was 7-8 years old(1965-ish). He and I were members at Orchard Hills GC in Chesterland. He passed away in 1973 at 37 years, 6mos, and 5 days old. To this day I can still remember certain shots and the conversations before, during and after the round. His shots, my shots, etc, etc.

I don't watch golf every Sunday but the "Big 4" are my must watch golf.

And yea, I'll still be thinking of my father.

That's somewhat comforting except it seems I do in one round of golf what an entire tournament does over several days of golf....

:-p
