One of the first things that is said on there is that the transition moves ahead as quickly as possible, BARRING ELECTORAL DISPUTES. If there is a legit dispute (so far, not so) then the transition should be halted. I don't see why this is such a huge issue. We are in the middle of an unprecedented election (Trump needing to get the boot) during an unprecedented time (pandemic). Maybe we don't have to wait for all the votes to be counted (even though that's been the chant), but there are exceptions, and this was an exceptional election.
A refusal to concede is not a dispute, and the 9-11 report makes clear that we should transition and do recounts at the same time. Even very republican senators are starting to get annoyed by this:

At this point it’s probably best to just cut trump off from such briefings anyway. He’s never been interested in them in the past. The less information he knows on his way to the curb the better for the safety of the country.

I didn't vote for Biden but it's pretty clear he won... even if Trump would win half his lawsuits (which he won't) there's still not enough votes to get him the win...

I'm trying to walk a thin line here. If there are actual, legit disputes, then let them play out. If there aren't, we should find out soon. Sticking to the process is a great way to take the wind out of Trump's sails.
The tough part will be doing that without allowing him to bog down the transition.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I think this is the correct and only course of action ... ther will be - somewhere, someplace - examples of voter fraud/issues. They need to be fully investigated and resolved. The number and scale needs to be clarified and constantly out in front of everyone .... it will show that the numbers are tony and of no impact whatsoever on the results. Trump's biggest weapon is the fearmongering and lies based on nothing - those lies need to be exposed so that any Cult of Trump member can - if they choose - see the facts. If they don't want to see the facts there is nothing we can actually do. As for the bogging down the transition - I don't know what will happen. But Trump does not care about the country or the implications / impact that the transition has .... so I don't expect much. Hoping for the best.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

In fairness, the story states that it wasn't a detailed conversation that got any legs or anything.
That's where the "in fairness" ends though. If this is true, the mere broaching of that as a solution scares the daylight out of me.
Trump supporters can't possibly find merit behind such a move either. Four years ago, I remember there were people (not Hillary) advocating for the electoral college to vote against Trump, despite the results. His supporters - rightfully so - cried foul and championed democracy. Can't pull an about-face now.

Really. I'm on Medicare (yes, I'm old enough) And I gotta tell you, outside of not having Dental and Eye Care, it's the best insurance I've ever had in my life. I got a Supplemental plan and because of that, I have no deductable, no Co Pay... NOTHING. Total cost to me is roughly $310 a month. Try to find that kind of coverage in the free Market....YOU WON'T.. 2nd Amendment.... HA,, how many guns did Obama take from you? China... There is a difference between Bending over for China and working with China. Reagan said it best on another topic.. Trust but Verify..Obama didn't bend over for china,,, But of course, Trump told you he did so you believed it. The Iran deal... Geez, We dumped out of that because Trump had a boner for Iran. Now look at the result of that move.. Iran is again free to build nukes without anyone watching. So I guess you think it's ok for Iran to be building Nukes and Selling them to groups you wouldn't want to have them... I guess you think that's a good thing. And before you say,, TRUMP built a wall...., OK,, he did build some... NOT as much as he takes credit for, Most of the wall that has been built since he took office was ordered up and budgeted for under Obama. I'm not sure how much Trump is actually responsible for.
