i cant see CC having a 3rd bad start.

he had his mind right in his interview.

he said he learned a lot from watching jake and byrdie pitch, just go out and play your game, dont try to make perfect pitches, just do what you have been doing all year.

I'm still scared about this series. Beckett looked amazing in his last start, and if he wins tonight, the Sox go back to Boston with homefield advantage and a little bit of momentum. I'm hoping CC looks more like the regular season tonight, and the bats stay hot.

I heard on the Radio today and also read on ESPN.com that Manny is taking greif for saying that losing the series would not be "the end of the world" ... he must be wishing he played in Cleveland again with that hyper-active Boston media market.

....The Jake,....Game 5 to clinch,....CC on the mound,....this is a game we HAVE to win......I'm also starting to wonder(maybe hoping) that there's something more to Becketts sore shoulder than is actually being publicized.

I don't think his comments would fair very well in Cleveland either.

Francona said they took him out of Game 1 mostly due to his back stiffing up, and this rain were getting today if the game isnt rained out will only add to the stiffing of his back, Hopefully we can jump on him early and get deep into thier bull pen.

I think we have something that the '04 Yankees didn't have.

I think we're more driven than them.

Think about it, we may be built to stay for awhile but given the state of our division where any year one of four teams could emerge (although I think the Twins are on their way down despite Liriano coming back, the resignation of their GM shouts that to me just like when John Hart left the Indians), we don't know when we'll be back. For all our team knows this is our one shot. Whereas the Yankees have the "We're the veterans in this, we've been here before blah blah blah." I think we'll have the killer instinct the Yankees lacked.

At least I hope we do so I can dance like the banana up and down Court Street

We really need to clinch this one at home, just so the rest of the world can see how much Cleveland wants to win *aka we become America's Darlings...*

If the Indians lose, though, the question is will you demand an apology from Dolan or just go by a Mike Lowell jersey?

I missed the last game because I went out but I won't be missing this one . I ended up with 6 voice mails from my dad and one from my brother who was at the game .

I will have to mute the TV though or turn the volume way down but at least it will be on .

Elephant Shows Tribe Pride During Downtown Parade

POSTED: 1:49 pm EDT October 17, 2007
UPDATED: 12:06 pm EDT October 18, 2007

CLEVELAND -- The circus has arrived in Cleveland, and the animals are showing their Tribe pride.

The traditional animal walk was held downtown Thursday.

Dozens of spectators came out to see the elephants and the horses walk from the train tracks along South Marginal Road to East Ninth Street before arriving at Quicken Loans Arena.

One elephant was caught wearing a Tribe Time Now T-shirt.

Tickets are still available for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Bellobration, which runs Oct. 19-28.

Get more information at www.ringling.com.

Big game tonight. I don't like to go back to Boston.

The pressure will be about even if we get to game 6, and it will be squarely on our shoulders if it goes 7.

We need to play some small ball tonight where it makes sense to try to get a lead, and then hope CC rebounds to form.

Go Tribe!!

Accuscore has the Indians a 55-45 favorite. Its been pretty accurate this series. When the Tribe was underdogs in the paper, they were slight favs by the software.

Don't worry. I'm sure they'll AutoTune the tracks before she lipsyncs.

heres the article:

Indians say choice of Game 5 singer 'coincidence'

Teams have been known to go to extraordinary lengths to get an edge. But the Cleveland Indians swear Thursday night's choice of pre-game singer is not a piece of gamesmanship.

Danielle Peck, a country music singer who also happened to date Red Sox ace pitcher Josh Beckett, will sing the national anthem and "God Bless America" at tonight's Game 5 in Cleveland. Beckett is scheduled to start the game for Boston.

"It's an incredible coincidence. Honestly," said Indians spokesman Bob DiBiasio.

Taylor Swift was supposed to be the Game 5 vocalist, but when she couldn't attend, DiBiasio said a country music booker recommended the up-and-coming Peck. She is from Coshocton and her single "I Don't" is a hit.

"She's from Ohio. Her entire family are Indians fans. We did not know anything about her connections to Beckett. The next day, we find out the rest of the story," said DiBiasio of Peck. "How are we supposed to know who Josh Beckett dates?"

With a victory tonight, the Indians would close out the Red Sox and clinch their first spot in the World Series since 1997.

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.
