We just have to score 7 runs in an inning again. Piece of cake.

I don't even know what to say bout this game.
Deflating seems to be a word that fits.

And that's why I really don't think the Tribe wins this series. We have yet to really limit Ortiz and Ramirez, and Youkilis has been crushing the ball as well.
I guess I just have very little faith and am pretty pessimistic about the whole thing. But I'd love to be proven wrong.

I'm with ya. I wanted to close them out tonight because I know having to go back to Boston we might as well pack it up.
C.C has been a waste so far in the playoffs and that really sucks.
God I hope i'm wrong but I don't think we can win this series now.

I don't think Carmona is gonna do very good, hopefully Schilling is worse. I am however thinking that Westbrook will outduel Dice-K.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Well I guess we'll just score our usual 7 runs in the bottom of the 9th then just to make it extra dramatic.

If we can get out of the top of the 9th without giving up any more runs.
Not looking good so far.

Doesn't matter....let them pile the runs up. Get it out of their and our systems.
You had to figure Beck was going to win his two games. He's got postseason experience. And so what...he's the guy we can't beat. And we may not have to face him again.
If you would have offered me 3-2 before this series started, I'd have jumped at the chance. We can win one in Boston, we already did.

No rally cap in the world can get you 6 runs in a postseason game. Even with Gagne pitching.
Meh.
Bechett is a buzzsaw and we just ran into him. I would have liked CC to pitch better but....our bats didn't do anything. CC pitches better with a lead....and we didn't give him that.

As for game 5, I'll lay this one square on the shoulders of Grady Sizemore. He played a TERRIBLE center-field tonight. His lakidazical play cost us a minimum of 3 runs, all of which were crucial. I'm not buying in to the collapse either. We have our best pitcher on the mound in game 6, why does everyone all of the sudden assume we're done? For me it's just stupid. Boston CAN'T lose another game to win. Worst case scenario we go up against a shaky Dice-K in game 7. Oh no, the sky is falling.

x2...I can see it now.
Schilling pulling a schilling in the playoffs...
Then Dice-K becoming a media orgasm afterward...
in which case I just might have a nervous breakdown...damn you C.C. Thanks for laying an egg...I wish I didn't call it. Like I said, I pray to God Fausto starts the World Series if we make it...

Someone explain to me how C.C. laid an egg?
Grady casually tried to catch Manny's pop up, misjudged it and let it bounce off the top of the wall for a go ahead run. Then, he gets alligator arms, checks for Gute in right (causing him to slow down) and botches what should have been a fly ball out in the gap.
So it's C.C.'s fault that we didn't do jack for him in the field or at the plate? I find that hard to believe.

It's looking at the body of work...C.C. worked around the big guys rather than use his stuff against them like Beckett did vs. us. There's a reason Beckett used fewer pitches than C.C. did...it's not rocket science.
C.C. played scared and rattled. We all could feel it.

Sorry but you must have been watching a different game. C.C. induced 2 crucial DP's and threw 70 strikes in 110 pitches. 2/3 of the time he threw a strike.
As for working around their big guys, isn't that the strategy? Or should we groove fastballs to them?

No, here's the bottom line.
Beckett's stuff was better than C.C.'s stuff...as much as I HATE to admit that.
C.C. was rattled, just watch his body language.
Perhaps the calmest guy I've seen in the playoffs was Andy Pettitte, I honestly compared him to Tom Brady cuz he was so cool with his demeanor. Sabathia had NONE of that.
He battled, no doubt. But to say he brought his stuff tonight is pure homerism. If he brought his stuff tonight this would possibly still be a game right now since Beckett and C.C. could have gone past the 9th if both men were on their A game.

Beckett was on, he's everything the media said, except smart, Peck is one hot lady.. Boston, down 3-1 too many good players to lay down without a fight, too many good players, we got the game taken to us, they came out swinging, we came out playing not to lose. C.C. composure in the playoffs disappoints me, dont be perfect, just play hard. Pronk need to snap out of this slump, he look bad up thier swinging, boston pitchers have him off balance bad, Game 6 in Boston Saturday night,...Common were Tribe fans nothing come easy,....Go Tribe

Also wanted to add, Is Tim Mcgiver even know what the heck is happening on the field, This guy should not be broadcasting games, he makes up stats, forgets details, like last night they show the pitch count for both pitchers beckett thrown 75 C.C 106...very next thing that comes out of his mouth is well becket has thrown 66 pitches to night, I'm thinking is this guy watching the same game as me, Than earlier he say thats the 11th straight Indians set down in a row, I mean 9th....than the other announcers comes on and say 10th....he does this every night, Sorry in your hay day ya night have been one of the best, but he's just annoying now, half the game I'm goig what the heck is he thinking, what did he just say,,,

People are following the Cleveland way...Cleveland fans win a game and it's total high, were going undefeated and winning the World Series, no stopping us were untouchable high as a high can be,
Lose a game and were Fire Wedge, Dolan cheep, trade him or cut him he's a bumb, will never win a game again were doomed to finish last in the bowels of time with satin.....low as low can be
It's the Cleveland Way....I've seen it for 45 years, it will never change...Me I think were fine and if not, There's always next year, it's not the end of the world or something

You are correct. However the fact remains that CC got us through 6 giving up 2 runs. I think Wedge screwed up sending him out there for the 7th and I said it as soon as he took the mound. He had struggled in darn near every inning, hits, baserunners, walks, etc... Our bullpen has been great, why not give it to them with a 1 run deficit and 3 innings left? If we use 4 or 5 guys from the pen, who cares, each pitches a part of an inning and tomorrow is an off day... big deal.
And for those blasting Sizemore... I don't think the kid has ever done anything lackadaisical... he misjudged the fly from Ramirez and didn't get to the wall soon enough to time his jump and it was confusion on the other, Gutierrez had the easier play on it. You can say they were both his fault, but not because he was lacks.
As for the longest single ever, I can't believe the announcers had such a hard time figuring out the bounce. It hit at the crease between the pad and the hard deck behind it, the corner of the hard deck is what caused it to come back onto the field... was that not obvious? and it was the right call.
Regardless of pitching, defensive blunders, whatever... we have to score more than 1 run if we expect to win....
I personally loved Lofton going after Beckett... dropping the bat, trying to get in his head, then Beckett fires back... I can just imagine what was going on in Lofton's mind as he was going toward the mound.. "C'mon Josh, let's mix it up... because if we both get thrown out, that's a win for the Indians."

Didn't a lot of people predict Indians in 6 anyway? We just have to go back to the basics ... Ytown and Hurricane, no more watching the game for you, turn off that TV! Jules, go back to rooting for the Sox.
