Watching Washington/Steelers is improving my confidence level in the Browns. Skins are a tough out and the Giants are playing tough as well. Browns will have a tough one come G-Men time. In an NFL season of quarters, these two teams are starting to play their best football.

Steelers lose to Bills and Colts and week 17 comes down to game against the Browns for the division title. That assumes we beat the Giants and Baltimore. First doesn't sound infeasible, but they way they played against Seattle yesterday shows they can beat us. And Baltimore... But I like the way you're thinking

BOOM!
They still have the conference lead I think since Washington is NFC.

Dang, Bills march downfield and get stopped on the goalline. 49ers then march downfield and also get stopped on the goalline. Then the Bills fumble on their own 3 giving it back to the 49ers.

49ers up 7-0 late 1st quarter.
Do we want the Bills to win or lose?

Do we want the Bills to win or lose? I want them to lose. Right now it doesn’t matter but Miami might catch them even with a win.

Pittsburgh still has home against Indy, and road against us, Cincy, and Buffalo. So, they lose @Buffalo and against Indy ..... and we win out ...... and move into the #2 seed and AFCN champs. Hey, there's a chance.

J/C Pittsburgh hasn’t looked like a contender for a couple weeks now. The losses of Bush and Dupree take a lot away from their defense. Also, Daryl Johnson kept mentioning during the game that they have little balance on offense.. throwing more than 50 times in each of their last two games. I fear Buffalo, and (obviously) KC way more than Pittsburgh right now.

They had some runs that hit, but overall their run game seemed to struggle tonight.
Pouncey should be coming back from Covid shortly, and I think they're going to eventually get Connor back.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

These last 4 games are going to be tough Which is why I love the whole "We're playing this next game to go 1-0" mindset/mantra so much. This team has finally done what we've seen so many other teams do, lo this past 2 decades: beat the teams they are supposed to beat, surprise a team or two, and grit out a ton of one-score wins. I've seen enough this year to start expecting real NFL Football on a weekly basis, even if a game may actually end in a loss. That's evidence of the culture shift I've been screaming about since the early aughts. I'm looking forward to seeing these games. In December. When games matter most. This is all still soooo new- but I like what I've been seeing. .02, Clem

Thats the best mentality, one game at a time. There is so much uncertainty, especially with COVID that it's difficult to know what team is showing up week to week. Along with the general ebb and flow of the NFL where teams can start off cold and get hot and vise versa...
This is about the first year in a long time where every playoff team looks beatable. Or at least the parity between the 1 seed and the 7 seed are a bit more compressed. The chiefs out and out look like the best team But there is totally a blueprint to beat them
Certainly some teams look stronger than others but all teams look kinda flawed in some way.

Just noticed that Haden went out late in the game with a concussion. Not good for Pitt.

Couple of notes in these other games.
Steelers on offense are one dimensional. They have no running game.
The Bills look real good. They are a hard nose team that play good, sound, fundamental football. They block well for Allen.
They are a team to watch out for.
The Steelers are losing key players. Steelers placed Bud Dupree on Injured Reserve with a torn ACL. Dupree was the second linebacker in Pittsburgh to tear his ACL this season after Devin Bush tore his in Week 6. Offensive tackle Zach Banner also tore his ACL in Week 1 against the Giants.
Now Joe Haden and Robert Spillane both got hurt.
The foundation is cracking.
They play the Bills next. This is a good match-up for the Bills right now. They are playing well.
