NFL has flexed Week 15 Browns-Giants game to Sunday night on NBC. Niners-Cowboys moves to 1 ET on CBS. Jets-Rams kicks off that day at 4:05 ET on FOX.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

This kinda sucks as Direct TV and NBC are squabbling over millions... while punishing us that pay hundreds of dollars monthly. I pay extra for the Season Ticket so I can watch every game but they do this. Making it the only way I can’t watch it on my TV.
So I’ll have to watch it on the NFL app on my iPad. Absurd.

Is there not an OTA option for you?

Personally I like my football Sunday @ 1PM. We don't need any other timeslot as far as I concerned.

I don’t have an antennae or whatever for over the air. I shouldn’t have to. The money I spend on Direct TV should be enough to not have this crap happen. But billionaires fighting over hundreds of millions of dollars while ‘thousandaires’ suffer is as American as the NFL... sadly.

Oh no I get it. I have the ticket as well, and I am so ready for the contract to expire and move on so I can unDirecTV.

However, I have always believed you need a viable plan B for things in life, especially life and death things...

That’ll be my iPad. At least I got the 12.9” version. It’ll be like when I had a 13” black and white TV in my room as a kid. The first TV that I had that started my hatred of the Steelers. The ‘79 Super Bowl against the Rams. I was a Rams fan back then. (I was 6, I liked their helmets.) By 1981 I had become a Browns fan.

I just signed up for the free trial of YouTube TV. Now, when I get home later, I’ll have to see if my DVD player can stream it. I don’t have a smart tv in my livingroom. My DVD player can access regular YouTube so I’m holding out hope it can also stream their TV feed.

I don't know if it includes Sunday night games, but Verizon and Yahoo have a deal going where Yahoo streams the games. The viewing areas are the same as the OTA viewing areas. Its for Verizon customers and makes you use data instead of your wi-fi to run it (unless I think your wi-fi is through Verizon as well).

Don't know if that's helpful

When I was watching games at 10am on the west coast, I always felt a little guilty about cracking a beer shortly after kickoff.

...a little...

Brunch with a Bloody Mary would be a logical alternative. wink

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

From strictly a viewing perspective on a personal level I agree with you. From the perspective of seeing the Browns get national attention and respect I prefer seeing us get prime time games.

Yeah, double edged sword. Although the anticipation will kill me, I like the fact of "whole world watching". In the past, BBS would tell me that would be yet another reason we would fold -- but that object is getting smaller in the rear-view.

and I'm mixed on night games.... I hate waiting all day for my team to play... as a dad I appreciate it because I know the kids will be in bed so I can watch in peace smile and I love it's nationally televised... if it sucks I just go to bed.... but I hate if it goes late and I have to work early next day.

Love working night games though! I always take the next day off my real job... but working a night game is awesome.... besides getting home wicked late.

I have DirecTV and wasn't able to see last Sunday night's game on NBC due to the dispute. I found it on Channel 410 but it was in Spanish. Only thing I could understand were the player's names, but that worked.

"Chubb" is still "Chubb" in any language. That's all you need to know!

Same here in Tampa (I live far closer to Orlando but I’m technically Tampa area and get Tampa channels). Our DirecTV doesn't have CBS currently, and it’s been over a week so far.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

We've been there my man.

Hooper throwing together some omelets, heading over to Frank's tent to sample some sort of orange concoction.

Good times for sure.

Kevin Stefanski: The time of our games is not of our concern

Posted by Josh Alper on December 10, 2020, 9:19 AM EST

The Browns are on their way to their first winning record since 2007 and that’s part of what led the NFL to flex their Week 15 game against the Giants to Sunday night.

It will be the team’s second primetime game in a row as they’ll face the Ravens next Monday night, which provides a rare opportunity for the team to bask in the national spotlight. Head coach Kevin Stefanski isn’t playing up the significance of that change in circumstances.

Stefanski said his “mind does not really go there” when asked if he’s happy about the team getting to play in higher profile games.

“The second game of the year was in primetime and under the lights — still a 60-minute game,” Stefanski said, via Cleveland.com. “I think the guys understand we have a big game coming up, a really good opponent and well-coached. We have plenty to concern ourselves with, and really, the time of the game is not of our concern.”

Internal reaction to the Browns winning streak came up in other questions during his press conferences, but Stefanski downplayed any concern that players are losing focus on the task at hand. He said he believes players “understand what is so important about our preparation” and that they’ll continue grinding through the rest of the season.

I don’t mind CC, I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I appreciate him. And Al is a legend of the game, best voice in the business right now.

I remember back in the day when Hooper started making omelettes around 6:00 A.M. at Dawg Talk Island. Without those days we, along with many others I met may have never gotten to be friends. I'm very thankful for those times.
