From BSPN...

Ravens (7-5) at Browns (9-3)
Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET | ESPN
Matchup rating: 68.1 | Spread: BAL -2.5 (47.5)

What to watch for: Two of this game's biggest stars -- Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Browns defensive end Myles Garrett -- continue to work their way back after testing positive for the coronavirus. Both players, who performed well in their returns this past week, will be instrumental as Baltimore and Cleveland make their playoff pushes. -- Jake Trotter

Bold prediction: The Ravens will be held to a season low in points. Jackson and the Baltimore offense is coming off a game in which they scored 34 points and ran for 294 yards. But that came against a struggling Cowboys defense, whereas the Browns have held teams to 18.8 points at home this season, the fourth fewest in the NFL. -- Jamison Hensley

Stat to know: The Browns have a minus-15 point differential this season, the worst by any team with at least nine wins through 12 games in NFL history, via Elias Sports Bureau data.

Playoff/draft picture: The Ravens are on the outside looking in, sitting at a 68% chance to make the playoffs, according to FPI. But that would go up to 84% with a win or drop to 37% with a loss. The Browns, meanwhile, have a 86.2% chance to make the playoffs at this point.

What to know for fantasy: Jackson was QB6 in Week 13, matching his best finish since opening the season with a QB4 performance in Week 1. See Week 14 rankings.

Betting nugget: Cleveland is 0-4 ATS against AFC North opponents this season. Read more.

Hensley's pick: Browns 23, Ravens 13
Trotter's pick: Browns 30, Ravens 28
FPI prediction: BAL, 65.9% (by an average of 5.5 points)

I'm not from Cleveland but Ive supported the Browns since 99 - and around 85, if you count when I started watching NFL on the hour long sunday shows here in the UK.

This season means NOTHING if we dont beat Baltimore in our own house. Regardless of the obvious progression we have made, unless we start beating AFCN teams regularly, it means nothing. I want this win more than any other as it gives what is evolving a real sense of legitimacy.

Saying that, win or lose, I'll be here next week. Next season. Like all of you have done for more years than I.

We are good enough to win this game. Let's go out and do it.

So we have a 2 game lead on them, the game is in our house, and we are underdogs.

It's not just posters on this board who still question this team.

I agree the best hope to beat the ravens is to beat them with the Browns defense!

If the Defense can get takeaways and points, and or if the offense can score off of those takeaways, that can put the Ravens behind the 8 ball a little bit.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Why not, I’m on a bit of a hot streak, let’s double down.

Ravens are bringing the house, hot read is of upmost importance. Kareem, I’m looking at you out of the backfield.

I don't agree, I think we will score early and often just like we did against Tenn. The thing I look for is max protect coming out of play action which will buy Bake enough time to pick the Ravens apart.

This game needs to be about protecting Bake as it is with all QB's BTW.

I don't agree that the season means nothing if we don't win, but no doubt we are at the point where each week we can make a statement.

Beating the Titans in Nashville was a statement. Following that up with a win against the Ravens will be another statement.

The key to me is if the players believe they can make a statement week after week. That is where the really good teams reside. We are at that point, now we are about to find out.

We have proven we are a good team. Now we find out just how good we might be as the rest of the season plays out.

I'll say the same thing I said before the Titans game; I hope we don't embarrass ourselves in front of a national TV audience. We didn't last week and I hope we can play well again.

Hey Peen smile I do agree, to be honest. The team has made massive strides under KS. Baker has turned a corner, hopefully. Just need to see him do it against some mean D's - starting with BAL.

I think a few pieces in the secondary and an impact LB will make the D a really vaunted unit.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow night!

I agree about the D. We may already have some impact players in the secondary. The problem is their injured. We do need some help at LB and the continued development of the guys we have. With the right moves we could easily be a top 10 D next year.

I'll say the same thing that I said before the 1st Ravens game. The key to victory is to shutdown Mark Andrews. Keep him in check and we win. Once he gets going their whole offense opens up. IMO he is their most important and valuable player.

which is bad luck because he’s been out until this week

If the Browns beat the Ravens and look good doing it and Baker looks good doing it, you will seriously have to wonder if they are peaking at the right time. If that's the case only Mahomes will stand in their way to the Super Bowl, then Rodgers after that. That's it. If they get beat and kind of still look like the little brother, you'll have to wonder if they can beat the Giants.

I'm putting another moneyline bet on the Browns this week!

I still don't think the second part of this is true. I mean, I hope the Browns play like it is, but I don't think so. If the Ravens beat us, there is still a very real possibility we could still finish 12-4. The Steelers are beatable and I'm not just going to concede that game. If we finish 12-4, I don't think it's mathematically possible for us to NOT make the playoffs.

We have to stop Mark Andrews like we did Derrick Henry. I'm sure our D will take the same approach. My mistake I meant Mark Ingram.

I think Dobbins and Edwards are more of an issue than Ingram.

You were right the first time, though. Don't let Andrews beat you. Bracket Andrews, keep Jackson in the pocket, watch the inside draws via read-option runs, and make Lamar throw outside the numbers.

The Game is to avoid falling to 3rd place in the AFC North division.

3rd place in the division teams are outside if the records equal out.

edit: We have to assume the Lamar Jacskson Ravens 14-2 last year are good enough to win all of their final 3.

We also have to assume the Healthy Ben Reo- Steelers are favored to snowplow the passing game over the Browns in week 17, which would mean,

Lose this game you are behind the opponent in playoff seeding,

Also have to assume the Browns will roll over the Giants and Jets, favored, so the Ravens if losing would be behind the Browns in playoff seeding,

so in that case, Win you're in , Lose you're out.

If the Browns win tomrrow they are in. Right now. We have a 96% chance of being in the playoffs. I really hope the chicken. Litte stuff stops.

If Buffalo wins we will be in position to be playing for a shot at first place week 17.

Basically, our D is going to have to play at least as good as they did when we beat the Titans. Our O is going to have to win TOP. If we can do that we have a good chance. Baltimore has our #. If we can win it will be a big confidence booster.

That wind will suck - going to make game easier for Rats from a defensive standpoint as they can totally commit to stopping the run. We need balance for success on offense (ie. play action passes).

Our biggest weakness on D is easily the Secondary.

Need to make sure to get to Lamar. Hit him a couple of times.

Worry comes with rushed throws, inaccuracy.

Lamar can throw but go back to the KC game. if he senses he's going to get hit. He attempts to run more than keeping his eyes downfield.

Browns must win 2 to guarantee a playoff berth, I can find no single win that can guarantee the playoff berth at this point.

If the Browns win Tonight to become 10-6 they can still miss the playoffs, without help. Pesky those rules are.

Titans lose to packers only 11-5 titans,
Colts lost to steelers only 11-5 colts

Dolphins lose to Raiders only 10-6 dolphins
Raiders win 3

Ravens fall into quicksand lose out after you beat them

Bills lose all 3, or 2 or only to dolphins

Steelers lose only to Browns or are the only team the Browns beat,

^ Any of those combine and Browns miss playoffs,

Miami, Vegas, Colts, three wild cards, or Titans/colts interchange,

Browns must win 2 of 4 to control own destiny. Including tonight,

Ravens
At Giants
At Jets
Steelers.

10-6 is looking highly unlikely for any scenario; 11 is the only way to secure it.

Browns cannot gain tie break with Dolphins or Bills (bills secured tie break with win over pittsburgh last night in common games 2 game bills lead), or Raiders. (Except overall record)

and Add Ravens to the list if they lose tonight.

Very important game!

2 of 4 is a must! (The other 5 teams are not going to Tank.)

IN FACT. Lose Tonight! and 3 of 3 may be a must!

If the Colts and Titans both reach 12 wins, and Browns are at 11,
and so are Ravens at 11,
and the either the bills or dolphins, lesser at 11,

Then 11-5 Browns miss the playoffs and Raiders 9-7 miss the playoffs

I'm nervous every game. Was nervous about the Titans game and we stepped up.

Nervous about this one hope home field advantage helps. Hope we kick butt like we did in the Titan's game!

I think we have arrived but as you said, man do I get nervous. Until I think about it. Come on man love the Browns but its not everything.... rofl yeah Otay

Normally I would be nervous.

But for whatever reason I feel calm. Anxious for the game to start. But not nervous.

The Browns are playing very good football. The big thing though is they are singular in their approach.

They have learned how to prepare. KS has been consistent in how to prepare. They are confident as a team in knowing how to be ready.

In the end I believe we simply out score the Ravens.

Our offense is hard to stop. We have lots of options. It all begins with our offensive line.

In this game I think we need to throw to set up the run. Throw on first down. Use a quick strike approach. WCO based. Hunt and TE's in short quick developing plays.

Then bring the ground game.

They will score on us. So, the longer we possess the ball. The better off we will be. The more opportunities the better.

Defense is all about protecting inside the numbers.

I feel confident.

Interesting.

Using the actual tool - it highlights that we actually should have been rooting against the Colts at the weekend, despite claims to the contrary. If we lose to the Ravens Giants and the Steelers then our path becomes very dependent on others and probably unlikely. If we lose to the Ravens and Steelers only - we have a very good chance we still go to the dance.

But ... that's as much as I have looked at playoff picture so far and I really don't want to. . . Just want to look forward to tonights game and hope we look much much much improved from our week 1 shellacking.

The more things change the more they stay the same.
