Marcus Peters?

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

It says not injury related. Then again it says the same for Campbell and he was obviously still hurting.

Browns notebook: Denzel Ward not a longshot to return vs. Ravens; Wyatt Teller on track

https://www.beaconjournal.com/story/spor...ens/3878835001/

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said he “wouldn’t call it a long shot” that standout cornerback Denzel Ward can return from a calf strain against the Baltimore Ravens Monday night at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Right guard Wyatt Teller, on the reserve/COVID-19 list as a close contact, is also on track to face the Ravens, Stefanski said. But Stefanski would not give a timetable on how many more negative tests Teller needs to be cleared.

Ward has missed the past two games for the Browns (9-3). Stefanski said he would see what the Ohio State and Nordonia High School product can do in his work with athletic trainers on the side during Thursday and Friday’s practices.

“I’m hopeful, but I can’t peg it with a percentage,” Stefanski said on a Zoom call.

Teller was placed on the COVID-19 list Tuesday, considered a high-risk close contact of someone not affiliated with the Browns who tested positive for the virus, a person familiar with the situation said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the information.

Per NFL protocols, as long as Teller continues to test negative, he would be able to rejoin the Browns in person five days from exposure, which would allow him back into team headquarters this weekend.

KhaDarel Hodge sidelined
In addition to Ward and Teller, wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge (hamstring) did not practice Thursday. Stefanski put Hodge in the same day-to-day category as Ward.

Hodge was hurt in practice Dec. 3 and was inactive for Sunday's 41-35 road victory over the Tennessee Titans.

Right tackle Jack Conklin (knee) and center JC Tretter (knee) were limited practice participants. Wide receiver Jarvis Landry (hip) fully participated.

Will Tedric Thompson play?
Safety Tedric Thompson, claimed last week off waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs, practiced with the Browns for the first time Wednesday.

Asked if it's realistic that Thompson could play Monday, Stefanski said, "I do think it's realistic. Smart player, has played in similar systems, so we'll see how the week plays out. He's been spending a lot of time with [pass game coordinator/defensive backs coach] Jeff Howard and the defensive coaches on Zoom. It was great to finally meet him in person and get him out on the practice field yesterday."

Myles Garrett leads Pro Bowl fan voting
As of Thursday morning, Myles Garrett led all NFL defensive ends in Pro Bowl fan voting with 180,723 votes, according to a league update.

Joel Bitonio led all NFL guards with 112,725 votes and Andy Janovich led all AFC fullbacks with 107,125 votes.

Fans can vote at NFL.com/ProBowlVote until Dec. 17.

#Browns , #Ravens injury report. TE Austin Hooper didn’t practice because of a neck injury.

but, this part is good: Stefanski also said starting right guard Wyatt Teller is still ‘right on track’ to be activated off the COVID-19 reserve list in time for the game, but that they’re in ‘wait-and-see’ mode.

That's a bummer about Ward.
Just rule Hooper out; unless it's simply a pulled neck muscle from yawning too big, lol, don't take chances with a neck.

It's ok... we'll line up who we have and that will just have to be good enough.

I know we pay Hooper a ton but I don’t view as being much better (or better at all) than Harrison Bryant.

By year 3 Bryant will be a household name...if he could just hold onto the ball.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Ward isnt as integral against a run-heavy team obviously. Hooper allows us to run the 13 personnel with versatility ... he’s just been OK but still has value.

I hope Ward can return soon

Until then, he's Haley Joel Osment wearing Orange and Brown. I think it was Homewood that pointed out the resemblence.

Sometimes reading what's stated as good or bad is so wrong I start to hate reading.

The agreed upon and supported views on whether some players are good or bad as stated in posts on DTMB have a history of being sometimes slightly ok, and sometimes terribly innaccuate.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

What Hooper does as a blocker, can not be matched by any of the other TEs. Plus, he is a guy that has to be accounted for as a threat, it's in his history.

I see the slight resemblance lol.

A chance for Carleson? Every once in awhile he makes a play, in limited playing time.

I'd much prefer to have him out there vs Brown.

12:20 p.m.

Cleveland Browns starting right guard Wyatt Teller has been activated from the COVID-19 list and is expected to play Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens.

Although he never tested positive for the virus, Teller was isolated from his teammates this week after he was in close contact with an infected person outside the Browns. He did not practice but participated in the team’s walk-through Sunday.

Teller’s return will mean Cleveland’s offensive line will be intact as the Browns (9-3) try to close in a playoff berth.

The Browns also waived running back Dontrell Hilliard to make room for Teller on the 53-man roster.

Teller back, Hubbard is good-to-go, Lamm is a pass-catching machine (lol)... I feel like it has been a while since the OLine was 100% at full strength.

I wouldn't worry too much about being without Hilliard. We still have Johnson, right? Hilliard was #4... as long as he clears, we'll have him back on the practice squad at a minimum easily enough.

Huge that Teller is a go. Guy is barely second to Rodgers for best PFF grade in football at 94.

Ward would shut down little Smith as well as play strong against the run, so he will still be missed.

Hooper is not a killer but will also be missed. Having Bryant, Njoku and Carlson helps a ton, but Hooper is a solid dual threat who is very dependable. Njoku can feel free to block a bit and hang onto the ball.

Hodge was playing really good football but DPJ isn't much of a dropoff.

I hope Hilliard is not snagged, always liked him and he knows the system.

Making sense of Baltimore's injury report is futile for me.

Why?

We have Chubb, Hunt, and Johnson, along with Jonovich.

Besides, we'll probably be able to re-sign Hilliard to the practice squad. (and we also have John Kelly on the PS right now, as well)

Hilliard’s had ample opportunity to be impactful. Hasn’t done it. Depth only, but for his sake I hope he makes it to PS..
