Landry has more wide open dropped passes (or just drops in general) than Hollywood does. Landry has less tds than Hollywood does. He's done more with less time on the field than Landry. His first catch of the season was a td pass if I'm not mistaken. I'm not saying he's better than Landry but he's been better lately. Landry was fairly quiet up until the last 4 games or so, maybe? Again, I'm not calling him a superstar or better than Juice.
all fair statements, so maybe based on dollars I could agree, but if I was told I could only keep 10 players from this team for next year, Landry would be on the list and Higgins wouldn't be. Not to discount Higgins.
There's a comparison chart with 4 similar receivers on the site. One of the comparison points is yards after catch. The average of the others was 6.24, the lowest 4.15. Higgins was 1.9.
This confirms what I've observed. He has a great rapport with Baker. He gets open, catches the ball, and that's where you run the next play. You pay him for getting open and catching the ball.
As long as he regularly gets open and catches it at the 11 yard point when we need 10, I don't care if he gets any YAC.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.
p.s. Great news on Hollywood. He needs to get a long-term deal. He has more than earned it. Lock him up; all he does is produce.
That said, there has CLEARLY been a past issue with him. He went into Freddie's doghouse, but even after Freddie was gone he was still in the doghouse and kept on ice. Whatever it is that had to change with him, hopefully it stays changed. We are a better team with him as long as he is the way he is right now.
Maybe he called out the dumbassery. The FO and Coaches don't like being called out.
Rashard Higgins: "I want to get to the playoffs. Whatever I can do to help this team get there, I'm all for it. I want to win games and I want to see this team prevail, overcome 0-16. To hell with losing, it's not fun. It's a helluva feeling having 9 wins right now."
Sometimes I wish I had access to coaches tape. Watching the tv broadcast you can not see the whole play.
Unless you have the right camera angle you can not see how the play develops.
Higgins gets open. He gets separation somehow. On some plays I can see him beat zone coverage. He is great at finding space. There is no question that when Baker is pressured he finds a opening.
On the other hand I know Odell is quicker and faster. But he draws man and usually has someone overtop to back man.
Higgins doesn't draw the attention Odell gets.
But the guy runs great patterns, blocks downfield, and is ready when called upon. In addition he doesn't drop balls.
So, Hey give the guy a contract he can live with. don't go nuts fair market value.
Guys like Higgins who were here for 0-16 (how many of the players are even left from that year?!) is rewarding to see them now
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Which is my point

Tonight would be a good game to show what he's really got against that secondary. This could surely solidify discussions of an extension.
yes, step up big tonight and it’s massive

Tom Withers @twithersAP Westlake Police also said a marijuana joint "located and destroyed" when Higgins pulled over for drag racing. Unclear if weed found in Higgins' car or other vehicle.

Un-bleeping believable. So shortly after these two morons were coming off of their high was when the 'rona tests were administered?
If there is a conspiracy against the Browns, it's coming from a higher power (no, not Goodell... an actual higher power).
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
