Again I don't see it happening either...just making a case for it...Lots to keep it from happening...
Pit. I don't see him as a permanent backup. I see it as a similar similar to Teddy Bridgewater, where he played backup in a stable situation with the Saints before getting his next big shot. Granted Teddy was there due to injury....but the concept of rebuilding his resume is what I am talking about.
Milk...There is still Justin Fields, and even Mac Jones...they could go after. either staying pat or dropping down...
I also agree that if the Jets are going to move him...they are not going to do anyone a favor and just cut him...LOL...They will get something for him and that means his salary come with him....unless he renegotiates and I don't see that happening either...rebuilding your resume is one thing....but a renegotiation "might appear" as if he has accepted being a backup from now on...perhaps a lack of confidence..
But take the money out of the equation...and it is interesting to think about as something that could be good for us and really good for Darnold. This is real life however and so money does play a role here...
I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...
What's the use of wearing your lucky rocketship underpants if nobody wants to see them????

Unless we're doing it to trade him once we "fix" him, I don't really see the point.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

There isn't a point. There is nothing about our situation that would cause us to want him or for him and his agent to want us.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Has there ever been a worse QB in the history of the NFL who gets so much benefit of the doubt? Yowsers, never seen anything like it.

All I know is that the Steelers will be in the market for a QB, as Ben's arm is tired.
I would not be surprised if they went after Darnold.
Personally, the QB that I would be looking at in this draft is the BYU kid Zach Wilson.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!…. That did not age well.
