The 1 pm news update just said, 1 million Americans, tested positive in the past 7 days. And 114 Americans per minute are testing positive. (So there's that)
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
John 3:16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
265.000 Americans have died of Covid-19 1412 Americans died yesterday of Covid-19 205,000 Americans tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday alone.
About 200k Americans are testing positive every day now. That is one million new cases every five days. Between 1500-2000 Americans die every day of Covid-19(give or take) That is about 45-60 thousand Covid related deaths every 30 days.
Covid is real. Covid is deadly. Covid is not a hoax or a political ploy or any of the other BS some people keep saying. Hospitals are filling up and all over the nation are at or near capacity. Officials believe we will see another surge in a couple of weeks because of Thanksgiving. Once the ICUs are full then hospitals will have to send patients home to die. This is the reality we face. Wear the masks, stay home unless it is absolutely necessary to leave, social distance when you must go out. Take precautions. Be safe everyone! Our healthcare providers and front-line people are fighting a battle and right now they are losing. They deserve our praise, our respect, and our help. We help them by doing all of those things and not adding to an already untenable situation. Peace
With all the Covid cases in the NFL now and with the Broncos playing the Saints with NO qb's, the competitive balance in the league is at best unbalanced.
How can anyone give any credence to the NFL 2020 season when so many players are not playing for their teams due to COVID or deciding to sit this season out?
It's becoming a CFL type of league morphing off the cliff to an XFL type league.

If you missed 60 Minutes followup on Covid, it is really, really, scary. The stuff attacks all parts of body, one physical fitness gym trainer months after covid has trouble walking stairs. They don't know full eventual effects. Football won't go back to the "old normal" for years. I don't get the Steelers/ Ravens changes over and over....not fair to other teams. This year is great for us so far, but it's really, really, strange. Thank God we have a smart, focused, ORGANIZED coach.
Go Browns!!!

I have a friend who had a severe case of it. He is in excellent shape and young. 6 months later and he still has terrible chest pains and trouble breathing

Teams really need to start getting ahold of this. Letting people just go home will not work, there has to be some penalty for idiots going out and putting themselves at risk. Especially staff. I said before, each team needs to have their own bubbles.. that is the only way there will be anyway to control it. Nba set the example. Problem is teams are alot larger but I'm sure each team could figure out a way to segregate the players and staff from outside world for the season. I can see a Covid stop/pause coming soon if teams don't start taking it more serious.

So if teller did contract the virus from a close contact, it would take a few days at least for him to have a positive test correct? It usually takes a little bit of time to show up right? Honestly I dont remember

Ok Chicken Little.
Since that post was made here is an update of the numbers from "chicken little"
285,000 Americans have died of Covid-19 Yesterday 1533 Americans died of Covid-19 So far in December over 15,000 Americans have died of Covid-19 Yesterday 202,000 Americans tested positive for Covid-19
Those numbers keep going up. On the 2nd,3rd, and 4th of Dec. we were very close to 3000 deaths per day. In the first four days of this month, 10,000 died.
Guess what? The sky IS falling. People are REALLY dying.

You think they can tell the entire league they aren't allowed to see their families for the entire length of the NFL season? Even if that would work, and it wouldn't, they still have outside contact with people. Travel, hotels, etc. It is not possible to keep an NFL team safe from Covid while playing a season. Can't be done. So the NFL made a choice. Play the season and have players get infected or don't play. They chose the former. This is exactly what they knew would happen so there is no surprise. Either we keep playing good football after losing players and or coaches here and there to Covid(and hopefully not permanently)or we don't. Same thing goes for every team in the league. This is a crap shoot. The winner of this season will be the team that best weathered the Covid storm AND played well in the meantime.
BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns announced Thursday that two players have been placed on the COVID-19 list.
T Jedrick Wills Jr. has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and WR Ryan Switzer has been placed on the practice squad/COVID-19 list, the Browns said.
According to the Browns, the "reserve list category was created for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons. Per agreed upon NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on player’s medical status other than referring to roster status. Clubs may not disclose whether player is in quarantine or is positive for COVID-19."
It would be browns to lose him for the final 2 games

Wills was placed on the list after being identified as a high-risk close contact to somebody outside the organization. Wills would be eligible to come off the virus list if he tests negative over five consecutive days, potentially putting him on track to still play Sunday against the New York Jets.
I'm just a little confused by this. It says he was placed on the list Thursday. Even if he tested negative on Thursday, to complete the process of testing negative for five straight days, the last day he would have to test negative to complete protocol would be Monday.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Unless they count a negative test on Wednesday then yes, he will not play against jets. However if he did test negative yesterday, I suppose it comes down to whether he tested before or after his close contact. I look at it like this, if he doesn't play against the jets and doesn't return the first day of practice next week then he won't be playing against the Steelers.

Are you guys really surprised? The giants coaching staff had it and thier corner could not play because of it. Meanwhile they never closed down thier facility and kept practicing. So now we have a player most likely a starter done for the next two games and probably a bunch will have to sit because of close contact
