I would guess Stewart over Green. Green is on the practice squad for a reason. Probably, but MJ Stewart is poo. Fresh and steaming. I was trying to come up with a way to keep him off the field as much as possible. At least Tavierre is solid in the run game.
People ask me what I do in spring when there's no football. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for fall

With their 1st pick in the 2021 NFL Draft the Cleveland Browns select... a cornerback? Perhaps? If that is the best defensive player on the board at Pick 32, then absolutely!
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

I’m dreading news in a few hours that guys like Mitchell, Harrison, and other secondary guys are out According to profootball talk as of 10:45 this morning, we were good with no additional cases and the game is on. Seemed like it was in limbo this morning-probably waiting to see if any more squealers tested positive

Why would they waste time with another blasted cornerback, haven't they learned anything in the last 30 years?
Joe Haden never brought any winning seasons to the Browns' neither Justin Gilbert.
Their are 3 areas to focus.
Pass Rusher! Safety! and other than cornerback.
Then there are cornerbacks.
The Browns are 10-5 and Greedy Williams' barely played a down all year.
The Browns string of scoring 40+ points and leading the league in Rushing yards, Went Down, After 3 catch OBJ got injured.
But They've plug and played a dozen corners with similar success all year.
in 2005-2009 the NY Jets spent a billon dollars on free agent cornerback, (what's his name)
Remember all the Super Bowls he brought to the Jets? I don't.
But I remember long hair shampoo commercial steeler guy. and I remember arrogant purple shirt wearing Raven guy, They were Safeties, not corners.
Corners became a stupid idea once they changed the pass interference rules and that was somewhere around 1993. And the best corners haven't done squat since.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Robert Jackson gets the start
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Aditi Kinkhabwala @AKinkhabwala #Browns PK Cody Parkey is not exactly having a confidence-igniting warmup session right now. And yes, his body language says it’s not just my crew who thinks that at the moment...

Robert Jackson gets the start IMO Jackson is awful, I remember last preseason I was wondering why he was kept around. On special teams alone, he was creating a lot of penalties by himself. On the bright side he is a long corner...Hoping he plays decently enough for our sake. Was really surprised Tedric Thompson is not active...as we can use the safety depth with Sendejo out and Harrison returning from injury...I'm not sure if he's been active in any of the games for us. Also was hoping Kendall Lamm was healthy enough to suit up...scares me if one our Oline get banged up.

Green was highly thought of as an UDFA but there’s learning to swim the correct way and this. I guess we just blitz like crazy, play it fast and loose.

So. Where do we stand now?
Ward-Positive. Will be back for Sunday.
Goodson-Positive. Will be back.
Smith? Is he Positive or a Tracing?
Bryant was Positive, correct? What day?
Johnson for sure is OUT.
Callahan? Positive or Trace? What day?
O'shea? Positive or Trace? What day?
Did I miss anyone?

The positives *may* be back. They have to actually get healthy, then they have to test negative like three days in a row, or something like that.
The timing allows for the CHANCE they can come back, but it by no means guarantees that they will.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Ward COULD be back on Sunday but no guarantee. Goodson should be back (hope he doesn't still have breathing problems like Myles) Smith should be back Bryant won't play next week. Callahan has covid and won't be around again this season unless we beat Pittsburgh next week. O'Shea see my comment above Johnson is out. assistant offensive line coach Scott Peters should be back for the game as long as he doesn't test positive over the next couple of days.
I AM ALWAYS RIGHT... except when I am wrong.

So Ward, Goodson and Smith could/will be back.
I'll take it.
Just get a full week of On-Field practice.

Missed Sandejo
Jeff Schudel @jsproinsider · 21m Playing the Steelers on Jan. 10 means the #Browns will get Denzel Ward back from COVID along with linebackers B.J. Goodson and Malcolm Smith plus safety Andrew Sendejo. No Ward or Smith if the game were Saturday

Just get a full week of On-Field practice. If your talking about the players on the covid list. They wont be able to practice.

Let’s not pretend this is end of it. This is definitely an outbreak whether the NFL wants to admit it or not.

At this point there is nothing the NFL is going to do. They aren’t going to delay the entire playoffs because one team is screwed.

Welp, that sucks. We're not the Ravens, so the NFL would probably just make us rehire Hue Jackson to coach the team this weekend.

If he's asymptomatic I say let him coach from the sidelines and wear a mask.
We need to push on.

We need to push on. It’s not up to the team. Also, being asymptomatic does mean you can’t spread it to others (obviously).
