no, they must feel he's an upgrade from jackson. it's not like he's a rookie and theres no tape on him
I'm sure there is plenty of tape. But I'd never buy a car without driving it first. Seems a little funny they'd basically tell him he's signed before they even meet him.

Roye has fallen off and is mostly injured now. Big Ted was inactive again this past Sunday.
There are most definitely changes underway on our D-Line. The problem is you can't just jump at the first shiny object you see. We're done with band-aids and quick, short-term fixes and like the O-Line, are now in the business of putting in place long term fixes.

Nothing is 100% ... Falcons are flying him out of Buffalo at 6:30pm, he will have a physical and highly possibly a contract. They did not mention a try out but I'm sure it's a possibility, as they told him to pack as if he were staying awhile. I can update if you guys want but I won't if you just keep cutting on him. He has alot to be proud of and nobody can take that away from him. So there....

Please dont take it as if were cutting on him, I dont think were really doing that, Most of us would welcome him on the Browns if he was better than what we already have, I dont know if he is or not, I'm just saying if Phil though he was he would have signed him, nothing against him, I wish Tim all the luck in the world, he's a home area boy, tim as alot to be proud of he's accomplished alot more than most and is living a dream, he should be proud. I'm born & raised in Willard, so I understand this situation...I.E.Charlie Frye

Thank you Clay... I accept your "statement" I'm glad some one else on here kinda understands. Frye is alright except for the time he gave me attitude when i asked him if he'd be doing autographs after the Bellevue-Willard football game, PS I was not asking for me - these two little boys wondered but were too afraid to ask. (He's a person like everyone else.) Charlie wouldn't even answer the question himself... he just pointed to his "security guard" and the guard answered my question. Not sure if he was just having a bad day, its possible. That is one thing about Tim - he's never forgotten where he came from. Good ol' small town Clyde Ohio.

Ricardo Colclough is a safety if I'm thinking of the right guy. He was released by them yesterday, so we probably claimed him off of waivers. He was playing pretty well last year I thought.... I wonder what the deal is? He was their 2nd rounder in '04, 38th overall. I know he hasn't been very productive, but I'm wondering why? p.s. all of this will deleted barring links Soon

Not sure how you could get the impression that I was "cutting" on Anderson. I just found it a little strange that a team that had not even met him was so sure that they were gonna sign him that they told him to pack a lot of clothes. A tad touchy about comments regarding Tim, are we? You his agent?

A friend with an attitude, I see. Cool down there. I'm not rippin' you or your boy. I'd like to see him on the Browns. You people in Clyde really need to take a chill pill.....

you may have found it strange, but it don't mean it wasn't true, esp since she has been in contact with him after every little thing that has happened since he became available

Jesus, do you people take yourselves this seriously all the time?
No where did I say I did not believe what you said. I said I found it a little strange that a team would essentially sign a guy (who wasn't really a star) without at least seeing him in person. Which is what you inferred ATL was about to do.
Meaning I found it strange on ATL's part. Clear now?

People pick up players all the time off of waiver wires. No teat drives.

True. But that usually happens with a known star (on the downward slope of his career). Or someone that the team has seen numerous times in the Division. Or like DA, someone that the GM knows personally.
I don't think Tim Anderson and ATL fit any of those scenarios. So I found it a little strange. Of course, this whole season has been a little strange.....

Just to make one thing clear... I am not from Clyde, I am from Bellevue. I only get a little mad when people doubt me or my friends. I'm actually a really nice person, ask my husband

I believe you. I have a friendship with an ex Browns player's mom (hopefully soon to be again ) and it is difficult when people seem to bash them. I'm sure Tim is a good guy, but just not the fit Savage was looking for. I will always root for him (and for that matter any local kids) to do well. Hope all goes well for him.

Again, who was doubting you or your friend? Just because someone has or had doubts about whether the Browns needed to sign Tim Anderson really has no bearing on you or him. And I saw no one putting him down anyway. Mostly I saw people wondering why we hadn't signed him. Myself included. Bellevue, huh? That explains a lot.......

Are you hoping to be friends again?
See him as a Brown again?
See him as an ex-Brown again?
Hoping she is the mom of a Browns player again?
Are you holding out on some player-pickup info?

I don't really know anything. Justin Hamilton's mom and I are friends. Justin has been in contact with Cory Uldin since he was let go do to injury. They tell him they want him back, but that doesn't mean squat. I guess we will find out after this week when he is eligible to return.

You two work as a tag team often? Your timing appears to be a little off. You need more zing. And the finger pulling smilie.....not sure I get that one

Is she hot? Seriously...I liked the guy last year and was shocked we cut him. You say he is eligible next week...can you elaborate? Is he a free agent? Does he have to clear some type of waiver? Do we have dibs? Is he healed up? Thanks.

She is a very lovely woman...So you know I say that about every woman. He was told he was let go only because he was injured. He was put on the injured/waive list which made him ineligible to return until after week nine. He has been in contact and worked out for other teams but they don't want to bring him in until a safety gets hurt. His lack of experience has hurt him in regards to being picked up during the season. Most teams that get in dire straits typically pick up experienced starters, no matter how good they are. His mom still follows Cleveland, and I know Justin would like to come back. He is still living and working out In the Cleveland area. He is a great kid. I could go on and on about what a terrific person he is. He also works very hard and never took anythingfor granted. I believe he can help this team in the long term. We will know if the Browns agree at the end of the season, if not sooner.

My junior year in Willard which was 1979, yuk hate to say that we played Clyde in Football, 1st game we were all cocky calling them farm boys...which is ironic in itsaelf Willard boys calling someone else a farm boy....Well those clyde farm boys kick our butts all over the field that game....I'm not a big guy but i was fast & hit anything, well I never say so many big guys who could run as fast as me, I was beat'en up and sore for it felt like weeks after that game.
Bellevue Redman games were alway good hard faught games, always respected the players coachs & fans, We'd go to Galion and we'd get spit on, crap tossed on us coming out to the field, Norwalk back then nobody showed up to watch, Shelby was like going to Galion but atleast they were far enough away from us they had to launch something to hit us, which they did, and Upper Sandusky we had to walk 3 miles to the field from the locker room.
Bellevue parents use to feed us after games, Unsold hot dogs & pop...but heck we didnt care it was food and the thought was appriciated.

It's not a finger pulling smiley. It's one poking the other with a stick.. from a distance. It's a test to see if the other one wants to become angry and offensive as it seems might be the case here.
The finger pulling smiley is reserved for GM.
If Savage doesn't sign Anderson it's because he feels he is not a substantial upgrade over the rotation we have now. Not because Anderson can't play and play well.
And I'll say this about Roye to the bumblebee, Roye has been battling injuries. If not for that he still has game. He'll likely not be back due to the constant injuries, and to a degree his age, but the Browns were counting on him bigtime this season. They were counting on him because when he's healthy he is a force and our best D-lineman.

Don't make me get up. I didn't say he was great, but I'd take a healthy Roye over anyone else in that rotation at his position. Including Shawn Smith. Roye won't be back. But the Browns felt they could get by for this year with him on the line. He got hurt and that hurt. I liken it to the season Verba went down in preseason which opened the floodgates at our LT position. True, he wasn't that great of a LT, but he was a hell of lot better than anyone else we run out there that season. That ruined our O-line that season much like the injury to Roye has ruined our D-line this one. A healthy ball of rolling butcher knives at one end, Shawn Smith at nose and Robaire at the other end would have served us well enough to have been an upgrade and improvement this season. By losing Roye and replacing him with Smith we downgraded two of the three D-line positions. That's what I'm talkin' about.

This is where Rac and TG messed up..Phil brought in SS to play nose..well thats where he shoulda been put..since TW is now on IR(PLEASE ..we know whats up ) Smith should be the starter in the middle NOT KELLY.. He was going to learn the techniques needed to play NT..but as soon as OR got hurt they presumptiously put the new guy in there..instead of a current player who had already been playing there.. Ethan Kelly , who I feel is weak..should have been move to DE to backup Roye.. I 'd rather have a LB covering him instead of weakening the middle..

Man, I guess I need new glasses. That sure looked like a guy pulling the other guy's finger. And if anyone was getting angry in my exchange with the bee and his bumble it was them, not me.
I still haven't seen anything yet on whether Tim Anderson signed with ATL. Anyone seen anything, yet?
