j/c...sort of
I don't think there is any chance we go LB at #26 unless that LB is actually a big safety...like JOK.
With Walker, Smith, Phillips...that's (3) guys who aren't going anywhere in 2021. Taki started to come around late last year and Wilson is no-worse than a STer. We are going to go with 1-2 LBers a lot...and we have (5).
At CB we have Ward and Hill that we can absolutely count on (if Ward stays healthy)...and Greedy...and a handful of developmental guys. We are going to play 3+ DBs a lot...and we have (2).
At DE, we have MG, Takk, Gustin, me & eotab.
I don't buy into the strict-BPA narrative. The only way we don't take a DE or CB at #26 is if we trade out...or the PERFECT WR drops to us. JMO.

I Agree we won't go LB at #26 but I don't agree with you about Wilson ... You forgot about MJ Stewart and Robert Jackson who got a lot of quality playing time and AJ Green who they like a lot ... DE/Edge I Agree With You... Overall I agree we could/should go either CB, DE, and possibly WR if the right one falls to us, I would also be ok if we took DT at #26

To elaborate...I didn't forget about MJ Stewart, R Jackson, AJ Green or the recently re-signed Brian Allen....as much as I didn't mention them as guys we can count on...as starters.
Backups? Nickle...dime...sure. CB2 or a backup for Ward when he gets dinged? No chance. (That was - and is - my beef for letting T Mitchell sign elsewhere.)
I'm not ready to give up on Wilson just yet. He was dinged to start his second year and the scheme was new...again. I don't think he'll ever be an every-down guy...but a serviceable STer and sub.

I just read (Can't remember where) that Berry let Mitchell go because he said Hill was the better overall CB ...

I think Hill is certainly better than Mitchell...and I think Mitchell is better than any other CB on the team not named Ward or Hill. Seeing as how we've all read how the Browns want to add speedspeedspeed...I understand why Mitchell could get left out...eventually...but not just yet IMO.
