I think the issue is that most of the 1st round "edge rushers" are really either outside Lb's or 3-4 DE's. I think there are very few true 4-3 DE's.

To my reading, you and RedBaron are both correct. While there is no top 5-10 DE/Edge out this year, there are plenty of guys we could use right away. To your point, this new trend of calling defenders who are on the end of the line "EDGE" players has gotten to be ridiculous. Many of the guys being listed as EDGE are strictly OLBs (to me anyway). I don't get the infatuation with taking two positions and rolling them into one. The draft "industry" is all about clicks and over-loading info - oftentimes useless info. We see CBs split into outside/slot/dime/nickle...we see Ss split into box/nickle/big/hi/joker/+...then they take two completely different positions and roll them into one. If anything else, they are missing an opportunity to throw out more info and generate more clicks.

Calling out to Peen and any others....what is the word on Joshua Kaindoh from Florida State. Kid is 6'6" 260 lbs and has a time of 4.45 - I also read 6'7" 265 4.8 40...
It appears he was a top HS talent and his college career was mired with injuries enough to sit out a lot.
Looks to me he is a perfect 4th round investment - he has long arms and has a thick BASE. Perfect for a 4-3 DE.
any thoughts? Florida State not Florida so Peen you might not know anything about him...lol
