I was a fan of trading back. Berry didn't listen to me and he took Newsome.
In theory, our outfield should be absolutely sick. This helps in what I hear is a passing league ::eyeroll::
So what should we do next?
I think we should trade up to the top of the 2nd and get Koramoah.
Whatchoo think?

I think we have enough draft capital to trade up if we choose too.

Pete Werner Lb, Ohio State is a smooth player, for those with sad feelings the Browns didn't get Jammin Davis or Zaven Collins.
Smooth means, not edgy, not rough but not weak, (Strength without hate, Penei Sewell was smooth, and Courtney Brown)
2. There are a few Corners I'd much rather have than Asante Samuel Jr, and I maybe couldn't put more on it beyond, ( I don't want to be told I have to like a player.)
Some, Tyson Campbell, Cb, Georgia looks young. Ifeatu Melifonwu, Cb Syracuse, Damar Hamlin, Cb, Pitt, the one I like. A case of... Ya Get this guy. Benjamin St. Juste, Cb Minn. not before the ^ above 3, but pair him up with the others as a 3rd in this draft. Not Aaron Robinson cb of UCF, -v Not Ar'Darius Washington s TCu -v and Not Asante Samuel cb. Fsu -v My opinion. ----- Could go with;
Terrace Marshall, then Elijah Moore at WR. of course the Browns podcasts have been all advertising these two. Marshall is the one I wanted for the first rd. pick; among others.
Might like Azeez Ojulari edge UGA, and Jonathan Cooper of Ohio State, later.
I really like/ want Ihmir Smith-Marsette, WR Iowa, will be a steal, will be a player, will be a matchup problem. (Antonio Callaway type?)
Rachad Wildgoose CB Wisconsin, not earlier than pick 110. Paulson Adebo, Cb Stanford, Not in the 2nd round, Actually 2 Corners that are standard, not likeable or bad to not want.^ right?
What do the Browns want to do? Do the Browns want to pick 7 Corners? How many corners so the Browns don't go into next years draft with Need at DB requiring the #1 pick being a "has to be a Cornerback? ----- There has to be more Offensive line.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

We are WAY back there in round 2, which we aren’t used to seeing. JOK and Barmore likely will be taken early (I’d love to add either of them).
Moehrig is still there. There are a few WRs still there too
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Whatchoo think? My only concern about JOK is to wonder why he fell? Pretty much every draft expert had him going from 10 down in to the teens. What do teams know about the kid that we don't? They had to know something to make every team thrust him out of round one. I don't think the reason were to due with any physical attribute, so that tells me it's something with his character or attitude. Those things don't change no matter the round selected.

Went to bed after the Browns pick. So my original post wanting Peyton Turner made no sense. So, I'm going best edge (Ronnie Perkins) or Wr at 59.

For me, based on staying at 59, Ronnie Perkins or Payton Turner. Two different body types, Perkins is proven production. Turner is a bit more developmental with a higher ceiling. With our Dline I'd be OK putting Turner on the roster and waiting for him to be coached up. Scratch him. Went to the Saints...

Don't we, ostensibly, have their replacements already in Harris (Tretter) and Forbes (Bitonio)?

My best guess about JOK dropping ... either it’s an injury thing, a positional thing, or maybe a weight thing (I read he has trouble keeping weight on)
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I think unless the front office knows for certain they will resign Richardson then the most glaring need at this point is DT. Best news is none have been selected yet. Could be a very good round to select a DT for value.

I don't care what order we get them but IMO we still need a DE, DT, LB, S, QB, backup swing OT, another CB, and a kick returner.

My preferred order of those positions:
LB, DT, DE, LB, S, QB, WR (return specialist), Swing OT.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

IMO it was just the way the draft played out scheme fit, and need.
This guy is an excellent football player.
My guess is we do not trade up. They will pick the LSU linebacker Jabril Cox.
The free agent Walker and Malcolm Smith are both on one year deals. They like Phillips and want a complimentary player.
They may go DT and might move up for Levi Onwuzurike.

The time to get his replacement is this draft. I could see us selecting him in round 3. Keep him rostered this season and be ready to take the #2 position next year.

a weight thing (I read he has trouble keeping weight on) That is something I think can be corrected with a designated diet. I wish I could keep the weight off.

CLEVELAND BROWNS: LB NICK BOLTON, MISSOURI Linebacker was one of the more commonly mocked positions to the Browns in the first round but coming away with Greg Newsome II in Round 1 and Bolton in Round 2 would be a significantly better outcome than any combination of first-round linebacker and second-round cornerback. Bolton isn’t nearly the same level of athlete as fellow linebackers in this class like Micah Parsons or Jamin Davis. He plays the linebacker position like it’s supposed to be played, though. His instincts, processing and downhill play are all among the best in this class. Bolton would help solidify a position that doesn’t have much clarity heading into next season. https://www.pff.com/news/draft-landing-spots-day-2-2021-nfl-draft-round-2-round-3

Cox, Barmore, Collins, Moore, JOK, Brown, Holland, Ojulari, Moehrig, McNeil, Moore ... LOTS of guys I’d be great with

Not a fan of trading up at this point unless there is someone we just MUST HAVE dropping far enough to make it not overly costly to go get him. We are so well positioned as a roster to just sit and let the talent come to us that we don't NEED to move around at all.
That Bolton kid looks good, but I've been all-in on Nixon for weeks. That said, there are the guys that will bolster our roster this year, but there are a ton of guys whose best fit with us won't be clear until next year, too. We got our Day 1 Starter, now we get guys to groom/develop.... we're stacked well enough that anyone we grab is almost certainly a depth player needing to earn playing time.

If things stay the way they are we have 3 picks tonight. There are a lot of good productive players left that can help us. I'm betting we draft a LB, WR and OL at some point tonight.

As an example, it we packaged both of our 3rd rounders, those alone could get us to the next to last pick of the 2nd round...not worth it IMO. If we package our 2nd rounder and a 3rd rounder, me might be able to move up 13 slots. That could be worth it, depending on who we want. I would still like to trade back to gain picks for next year, but I think a lot of teams want that, so that might not be possible.

Our roster is strong and we won't have room for many of our draft picks. I would package our two and even both threes to move to the top of tonight's round. If it landed us a starter or strong contributor, it would be a great move.

Give me Joseph Ossai or Elijah Moore. Barmore, Nixon, Cox, McNeil... plenty of nice options still out there today.

It’s a good day to be looking for WR or defensive help

I think the issue with JOK is that he is only a pass defense player.
Donnie Edwards type player, won’t play on run downs. Too high for a specialty player.

Moore would be interesting! That would be a versatile and talented WR room. Landry, OBJ, Higgins, Moore and maybe DPJ takes a big step. That's every type of wide receiver there is.
