The Browns have the 5th and 8th picks in the upcoming round.
One Suggestion Jabril Cox, Lb LSU, Would have made more sense last pick, but.
Covers well, and plays sideline to sideline well. And he's Fast, 4.52 Cee Dee Lamm WR Cowboys ran a 4.51 last year.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Jabril Cox would be great
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I'd also hope we trade down some to gain picks for next year. Having extra picks this year allowed us to move up for JOK. I would like to have similar options next year. How many roster spots are really open before it simply becomes trading out one guy for another guy? Our draft could be over now and I would be good.

Trey Smith OG Tenn. He's the only one better than Cox imo. he's a day 2 Guard who plays LT, has the frame for the size speed combination, May be the last find this year that really has a chance to be special, on OL. 6'6 335, All SEC 1st team, 2nd team all American. Did well in big games. Defineite top 8 day two, I mean day 3.

Rashod Weaver Edge rusher Pitt, 6'4 265 can't find a bad word, Consensous All American. Missed all of 2019 with knee inj. day 3 steal, Chiefs website, Jets website, potential starter.
Top 8 Day 3 imo.

I'd love if they'd find an Insurance Cornerback, or additional Coverage Linebacker, with a year in our future, those are not Glaring needs in the 2022 draft, and; (last chance this year to address O line with a serious option.) If they'd do One of those, at least, before the trade down, I hope. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news...cornell-powell/ Day 3 remaining list nice top 50, CBSsportsline, not pff,

I wouldn't mind drafting a olineman. Every year somebody gets dinged and misses a few games at minimum.

DT is a future need since so many are currently on 1 year deals: Nixon and Tufele and Shelvin are available still. Later would be Togiai from OSU and Twyman Pitt
It sounds like Togiaia really started to develop at the end of last year and could be come a force. He could be a great pick when we look back in a couple years.
DE could use a young guy: Rahad Weave and Quincy Roche are available Cam Sample Tulane, Jordan Smith UAB and Chris Rumpf Duke
I also like Jamar Johnson the S from Indiana.
A suprise pick that couild be a sneaky steal: Shaun Wade OSU. He had a great 2019 but poor 2020 season. I heard he played with a foot injury all season. IF that heals and we get the 2019 version...

THey've talked that they're building 2 different teams... one for now.. and one for the future.
If that's true, I'm predicting they go DT... Hopefully that they trade down and acquire some picks for next year as well. a 4th this year is technically worth a 3rd next year.
The roster is stacked, we'll also probably have to stash some of these guys on the practice squad. Or at least try.

Snagging Nixon is my hope.
Adding Shaun Wade in the 4th would be fantastic! We'd have starter-level depth throughout our secondary.
Beyond that, I think we're just adding competition to the roster.... pushing middle guys to the bottom.
Browns is the Browns

I wouldn't mind drafting a olineman. Every year somebody gets dinged and misses a few games at minimum. Feel the same way. I have little insight as to who at this point in the draft but I don’t feel easy unless we take an OLman insurance pickup every year. Injury is and always will be a fundamental aspect of any OL. You really need a platoon.

We're getting a couple of guys back already that we didn't have last year, so I'm not terribly concerned about OLine, but I certainly won't complain if we take one. I'm far more concerned about DLine depth and future development.

Some DTs available that could be of interest. Also, I'm kind of intrigued by RB Michael Carter out of North Carolina.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

We did lose Lammn in FA but we do have some depth there. Again, AB knows more than me and I have much faith he will continue to make the right moves.

Jabril Cox would secure that outside LBer spot (Though Mack Wilson may not like that pick...maybe he'll learn to play special teams)
I'd prefer Jamar Johnson if we are truly looking to run a 3 safety scheme. Michael Carter would be nice as a 3rd RB And, yeah, I think someone already mentioned Rashad Weaver to battle with Gustin and er...Weaver for the DE depth.
Those would be my 3 4th round guys. A ton of DT depth still out there. Maybe Bobby Brown in the 5th and Alaric Jackson in the 6th (the Iowa OT).
Try to trade the 7th for a vet on an expiring contract just to be safe at CB (newsome is still just a rookie).

I can see us picking another DB. I think we need a DT, DE, and swing tackle. LB is always an option. And with 2 (or 3) our WR being on 1 year deals, I can see that as well (I want a big WR).
DT - Togai, Wilson, Nixon, Tufele DE - Weaver, Kaindoh (Cooper, Rashed Ogundeji later) LB - Cox, McGrone (Wallow, Fields, Johnson later) WR - Fehoko, (Terry, Strachan later) OT - Hudson (Forsythe, Jackson, Smith later) DB - Gowan, Wade, Johnson (Williams, Uphoff later)
I'd also like to take Borregales (K) in the 7th to give Parkey competition. If we're looking for an RB late, Chris Evans is interesting.

I heard that Cox had a shoulder surgery not long ago that never totally heals. Sounds like damaged goods to me.

That would explain the fall. Not sure if LBer is going to do much at this point. Our top 5 are set-ish and depending on special teams, we may very well go in with 5 LBer's and add and 11th DB instead. I'd still go Jamar Johnson instead to make sure we have 5 decent safety guys. Need or not, I still like Michael Carter at RB3. Deep down inside I still want Bobby Brown, even though I'm going to convince myself he will be there in the 5th

I am really worried that the Titans traded ahead of us for Nixon.
