Since Russell Crowe's appearance on ESPN, apparently 150 South Sydney jumpers have been sold to the USA through the internet.

If these start showing up in Pittsburgh I will vomit.

Tyler,

Russel Crowe has an affiliation with Soy's Rugby League team, the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
He appeared in the box on Monday Night Football sporting some Bunnies gear and there have been a number of replica shirts sold to the US.

The real " ??? " should be why anyone would want to wear the shirt of a mobile phone tossing loser and crappy team over say.....the shirt of the Mighty Champions aka Melbourne Storm.

That was the Rugby World Cup. The US participated but, like Wales, didn't make it past the group stages.

Sth Africa beat England in the final. How in the blue hell England got there with that team is still beyond me. (For once, not a jab EnglishDawg but i'm still staggered. )

What Soy is referring to is the NRL. Which is a different code. The world cup was Rugby Union, this is Rugby League. Couple of different rules. This competition in particular is a domestic affair for Australia with a New Zealand team thrown in for good measure.

Hey Riddler,
Is there a website where I can order a jersey from this league down under? Which team is the best to get a jersey from, I want to show the people at my job what REAL football is about....

Mike,

The reigning premiers Down Under are my team, The Melbourne Storm. As you can see from my sig, very similar to Raven colours which you might dig.
I wouldn't order from Oz, my apparel i got from ebay from the UK, works out a lot cheaper even with P&P on top.
Give you an example, 2 years after the British Lions tour (they tour every 4 yrs) to New Zealand, Aussie stockists were still selling the jerseys at full price which was a whopping $160 AU. I went home for Xmas 2005 and picked it up for 20 quid.

They play rugby league in the UK too by the way, do a google for "Super League" and you should find some shirts there, but i think that ebay is probably your best bet. There used to be a british site called "kitbag" that was ok too. Try kitbag.com or kitbag.co.uk

Forget kitbag, that site has gone way downhill...no league shirts to be found at all.
