It kind of sounded like he said "I need a supervisor."
I'm not really sure....
Seem like he struggles with the double team there. Cant shed the blocker. (Ba bump bump)
But seriously, not sure how he’s not still in prison for that one. I mean how dumb can you be. That said, I’m all for 2nd chances if a guy has learned his lesson and grown. I imagine the first bit of lip he gives a coach will earn his walking papers.
"Team Chemistry No Match for Team Biology" (Onion Sports Headline)
Definitely a project. Seems like the ATV accident derailed everything for this guy and I hope he is able to pick up the pieces and put his life back together. If he does he may be a contributor down the road. He is only 24 years old after all.
If he has his head one straight and has his mind right he could be a big piece of our DLine this year.
If we go by Peen's count of the roster, we're at 89... we have room for one more. Sign Sheldon and our transformation is complete.
actually, this may have been the one more... and this could very well signal that Sheldon isn't coming back. As in, simply because of roster spots, we may not have signed this guy if conversations with Sheldon were leaning toward him coming back.

Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.
or we may have signed him IN CASE Sheldon doesn't come back, or we think he needs a season to see if he can behave, learn the NFL game, and help after next season.
Agreed. Hopefully he gets his life straightened out and can play again. Might be worth a shot. I have trust in Andrew Berry's judgement. If we do sign him and he becomes a problem I'm sure we would cut him loose. We don't need distractions like we've had in the past. Josh Gordon anyone.
I look at the Malik McDonald signing as bone did..THIS IS A TRYOUT with the Browns, nothing more.
What Malik does with his opportunity is up to him. What he does during his off the field time seems to be the real challenge facing Malik.
He will be near his support unit (family in Detroit) as well as the support from the Browns (coaches and teammates) which should help him to focus on football.
I think that's the death knell for Richardson coming back, unfortunately.
Once we added 2 rookies, he wasn't coming back. This just solidified things.

I don't see a single rookie we brought in that anyone in our FO or coaching staff would have seen as a replacement for Richardson or even a day one starter this coming season. They may see this guy that way.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
Most improved defensive lines following free agency and the 2021 NFL Draft
2. CLEVELAND BROWNS The Browns have done a solid job of adding pieces to their defense this offseason, and the defensive line is no exception.
The edge defender spot opposite Myles Garrett was a question mark coming out of the 2020 campaign due to Olivier Vernon being unlikely to re-sign with Cleveland after suffering a late-season injury. The Browns addressed that position in free agency with one-year deals handed out to Takkarist McKinley and Jadeveon Clowney. Both signings carry some risk, but they qualify as good bets for Cleveland to take on short-term contracts.
McKinley never lived up to his first-round billing with the Atlanta Falcons, but he was a solid pass rusher across his first three years in the NFL, earning 65.0-plus pass-rushing grades in each season. Clowney should be the guy who takes most of the snaps on the edge, though.
It’s easy to forget the kind of dominant force Clowney can be when healthy because he has struggled to stay on the field these past two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans. Clowney has still earned an 81.6 PFF grade since 2019, ranking 18th among 112 qualifiers. He’s one of the best run defenders at the position and a more disruptive pass-rusher than his sack numbers may indicate.
Cleveland also added former Eagle Malik Jackson in free agency and Tommy Togiai, the No. 83 player on PFF’s Big Board, at Pick No. 132 in the 2021 NFL Draft. Togiai is a candidate to outperform his draft position early in his career. He tested well at his Ohio State Pro Day and has an impressive bull rush for someone his size. Don’t forget that 2020 free agent acquisition Andrew Billings is also slated to return from injury to bolster the interior.
Not to overstate the signing, but I actually like the signing of Square. He hurt us last time we played the Chargers and he’s better than Larry O
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
There is still plenty of Flak on this roster, a 5 way battle for the 11th offensive line spot, so that 90 number is not preventing anything.
Can The Browns trade Khaderal Hodge for a Kicker Straigt up??
A Kicker and a 5th round pick??
A Kicker and a rotational linebacker.
Imagine this team with Phil Dawson Type confidence in the kicker. Always looking to improve.
( Khaderal Hodge, ... If the Trade Khaderal Hodge-
It could mean they can keep 3 players on the 53 in the final shake out. ( 2= of Higgins, and Willies, and Felton, instead of 1., So that is one player.
and D'Ernest Johnson ... I can't remember... OH!
And the 2nd Fullback from last year.
It would almost never make sense to trade a WR straight up for a Kicker BUT!
I'd Take Phil Dawson was > greater than, Cody Parkey; more than Khaderal Hodge, whose upside has maxed out, was < less than 'value against a replacement player' in a heartbeat.
But I always really liked Derrick Willies And I really like Higgins And I really like Felton, so I'm biased And I really like D'Ernest Johnson too, so I'm 4 x biased. Do you see the effort D'Ernest Johnson puts out, on the field, He's a Beast.
Hodge, may have has special teams tackles 14, but, he's not an unreplaceable special teams ace, he's not Cribbs' or #37 from 1994. Bennie... Thompson?
Tony Fields II, Oh my gosh, Is going to be GrrrrrrEAT! > Like Tony the Tiger cereal, just listen to him interview, 1 Time, (He should be a coach, he makes ME want to go suit up, and he'll probably provide you 14 special teams tackles)
So it's not like Khaderal Hodge would be some Colossal loss to this football team,
In fact it allows them to keep just about everyone they invested a draft pick in.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
Browns news and notes. I know the Browns have a TON of contracts that end at the conclusion of 2021, 3 or 4 O line, Wr's Bakers option, and more and more and more,
But you always want to remain a good team going into the future.
This is the correct month to re sign, or begin the re signing of Ronnie Harrison Safety, If I take a long term picture from 6 months ago, to a year and a half into the future. For nothing else it would take the "top 3 safeties contracts off of the table of things standing in the way, at the conclusion of 2021, of things standing in the way of the Browns keeping continuity, a whole position group that won't be a headache. I don't know about the timing of John Johnsons' contract, but Delpit is still on a rookie deal, and Johnson did it with the Rams, he hasn't played with the Browns but, Ronnie Harrison, has shown what he's going to be,
The time to sign Harrison beyond 2021 is Now, and Part of that, YES, I'll Agree, is because there are only 2 safeties on the field, and not 5 like the Offensive line, But if the Browns Front Office wants to have nothing locked up at Safety , if Delpit or Johnson show any kind of weakness in this season, to have nothing locked up at safety at the end of 2021, when they could have a starting point, of OK, we have Harrison, (and Delpit in year 3) and we'll add to that. (worst case scenario)
Going back to. This is the correct month to begin the process of locking up Ronnie Harrison in a contract that's beyond the conclusion of 2021. That's my opinion.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
Harrison has a new agent and will be looking for a bigger contract IF the season goes like he wants it too. I don't look for us to work on resigning him until we know what the cap is going to be next year.
I'd agree. That's the gigantic wildcard with everything right now.... how much does revenue recover and how close does the league get to normal? I'm betting that they get about halfway back to normal revenue levels, and that SHOULD allow for quite a nice bump in the cap, but nobody can really know much until probably early December when there should be a pretty clear picture of how things have gone.
If the stands are packed, and food and beer is flowing at insane prices and new jersey sales skyrocket, then every team in the league will be spending like a drunken sailor next March.

Watch Browns’ Baker Mayfield throwing to Jarvis Landry, speedster Anthony Schwartz sprinting, and Grant Delpit backpedaling
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Browns are skipping voluntary in-person OTAs, but it doesn’t mean they’re not working their tails off to prepare for the 2021 season.
In the video above, watch Baker Mayfield throw to Jarvis Landry during the passing camp they help two weeks at House of Athlete in Weston, Fla. Also on hand were Rashard Higgins, David Njoku, Austin Hooper and Kyle Markway.
Also in this video, you’ll see Browns third-round receiver Anthony Schwartz, the world-class speedster, burning rubber on a treadmill next to Landry, with whom he’s been training for the last month.
Finally, you’ll Browns safety Grant Delpit, who’s slightly ahead in his rehab from a ruptured Achilles tendon, running backwards and then reversing field.
Seeing Schwartz on the treadmill is crazy haha. Speed 20 uphill

He looked smooth and fluid too. Those guys look deceptively slow on the field.
yeah, the strides are like gliding. Effortless. Such high end athletes

I think I saw a video of OBJ in Arizona (maybe?) and he was rehabbing
