Now we’re just scratching off lotto tickets

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

We clearly hated our LB and secondary last year

I was hoping for Jamar Johnson. Would have selected Wiggins of UC over this guy.

I think the game against the jets was such an eye opener (that most of us knew already) ... remember there were like 5 HORRIBLE missed assignments

It was slow....like 4.7 slow, but he was injured and it looks like it was still lingering. He didn't play that slow. He was a 5star guy out of HS. If his speed comes back, he could be a steal. He could have been a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

At worst he has lost a step and he still makes it as a good special team player and decent back-up player.

This is one of many reasons why it's great to have so many people posting from all over the country. Most all of us know about teams located close to us or in my case more about the BG10. By getting input from all over the country we can hear things about other conference players many of us are unaware of.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Always happy to have another Georgia boy on the team.

I don't expect much though.

I'm going to reserve judgement on this player. Seems reasonable that he's still suffering from the motorbike accident. I remember looking at him last year but he didn't declare. If he gets healthy and returns to form he has a chance. I do like the intense demeanor of his play.

Totally different deals. It was a dirt bike to get around campus. He was hit by a car who did not see him while pulling in to a store parking lot.

Winslow was on a powerful machine learning how to do front wheel wheelies.

And that there tells the story of the slide.

The question is will he recover enough to get back to the levels that had him project as a 2nd-3rd round pick?

I think it is safe to say he will recover some, so overall it was a good gamble on our part.

You like for a 5th rounder to bring some value, but as teams get better it isn't unusual if they don't make the team. We are getting to the point where it isn't unusual for 4th rounders to be nearing the bubble line.

The days of virtually all of our draft picks making the team are over.

I agree...with the caveat that we are this draft away from that showing out. There are easily (3) safeties and (2) LBs on the roster today who are most-definitely replaceable. IMO...there is "room" for every daft pick from this year except Felton.

No doubt you never know how things play out. I'd even say Felton has room to make the team.

My main point was that LeCounte was worth the risk of possibly blowing the pick if he doesn't heal up as well as we hope.

I wouldn't want to take that risk with a 1st or 2nd rounder. The fact is that LeCounte has shown ability. You don't make All SEC running a 4.7 at the safety position, so we do know he has the ability to be a plus player. it isn't like he was all conference in the Patriot League playing against players at Eastern Maine.

If he comes back, we got a 2ndish rounder in the 5th round. If not, we lost a possible player who might be pushed to make the team. Garrett Wallow, ILB was the player selected directly after we picked LeConte. We lost out on that guy if you feel like tracking it for the next few years.

LeCounte was worth the risk. If he's not 100% we can always try and put him on the PS

Just going off of his tape ... he looks like a guy who has a nose for the ball, and plays bigger than his measurements would indicate.

I wasn't as concerned about his 40: because of his accident ... I was more concerned with him making the age threshold, which seems to relax a bit in the later rounds of the Draft.

Of our possible top 10 guys in the secondary, 4 played in Cleveland last year (and 2 of them are possibly on the bubble). Berry went full kitchen sink:

RCB- Greg Newsome II; Greedy Williams*
LCB- Denzel Ward (72.8); MJ Stewart (41.6)
Slot: Troy Hill (74.2)
S1- John Johnson III (85.6); Richard LeCounte III
S2- Ronnie Harrison (74.7); Sheldrick Redwine (45.3)
Flex: Grant Delpit*

I'd say at least a quality steak dinner was involved. A few miles from Berea you have Don's Pomeroy House and the Rosewood Grill. Both get my thumbs up.

Walk out the front gate, walk up Lou Groza Blvd, cross over the Front St. bridge, and there's the Berea Depot. Of course they'd probably drive, but a good restaurant is right there!

Been there 5-6 times. Nice place. I have only been there at more or less lunch, so I couldn't say much about the steak I mentioned. More to grab a beverage, watch a little football, and grab a burger or something like that. No doubt we will go back.

On trips to games, except for night games we stay at the Marriott Courtyard in Middleburg Heights maybe 6-7 times a year when going to games, so I am "up" on most of the dining and watering spots in that general area.

Since you mentioned that spot, you know a good place. If you have any others to mention, I am always open to something new.

There are 2 things affecting my answer; 1) I've spent most of the last year or so holed up in my house. Been ordering from Doordash a lot. 2) I'm a working class guy and most of the restaurants I frequent are working class places.

That said, I would recommend Hatfield's Goode Grub in the Kamm's Corner area on the north side of Lorain. Owned and operated by one the West Virginia Hatfields and I was introduced to the place by a friend who is one of the West Virginia McCoys. It's a restaurant/bar with live music on weekends and really good southern style cooking.

No problem my friend. I fit in just fine just about everywhere.

I live in Tennessee, I love a good meat and three plate lunch.

Someday I plan to make a trip to Cleveland. When I do I'll try some of these restaurants you're speaking about. I'll have to write them down. Thank's.

If there are (3) Safeties that are most definintley replaceable, who are they.
Ok Moffatt, may be 1.
I can't remember any other safeties except Harrison, Johnson, and Delpit and don't think they fall into that category.
Is, Montrel Meander a Linebacker or a Safety.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I know this has no way I could prove it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the plan, has become get a player who falls in the draft because of injury,
stash them on IR for a full first year, sort of like redshirting in college ball,
( I like hearing southerners refer to football as ball.)

and project them to year 2 as a contributing role.

Where would a red shirted Richard LeCounte (S) project on the Browns, with a 2022, 7 games in,
From Halloween through until the end of the season in 2022?

A deep safety rover, who plays better than a 5th rounder but just have to wait 17 months for the dividend to roll in? Sounds like something logical guys might do.

Their food truck rocks; I've had the entire menu multiple times.

Browns is the Browns

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.
