Shoot dude, you have no idea. The 5 families have already met and chosen the themes for this year’s tailgates

Barring objection and call for reconsideration, the themes are:

HOU: Texas BBQ
CHI: Oktoberfest
ARZ (4P): Tacos
DEN (THU): Deep fried
PIT: Halloween Party
DET: Motown Soul Food
BAL: Crab boil
LVR: Vegas buffet
CIN: Chili!

Unfortunately it's been a few years since I've been able to get back and watch a game there.

I've lived in southern Arizona for some time, and I see Cardinals shirts and stickers (only if they're having a good season), and the rest of the stuff is mainly Packers, Steelers or Cowboys.

These last six months or so, there has been a marked increase in Browns fans willing to sport their gear or willing to stop and talk to me in the bank or grocery store - in the past, mostly it's just been a nod or something. I live in a smaller city, and since I moved here my allegiance has always been obvious.

We've got active military from all over, retired military, snowbirds and those who've decided to live out their golden years in a better climate. It never ceases to amaze me how many of them start to don the brown and orange. And I know it's not a fair weather or bandwagon type thing.

There were smaller degrees of this after the 2002 season, after the 2007 season and definitely before the 2019 season. But this offseason has definitely been something special. There's a sense, I guess, that this time it's different, something more tangible.

It's exciting.

Due to the Battered Syndrome thing, I'm hesitant to get too carried away. But I have to admit it's a new feeling.

September is only a few months away. Go Browns.

Well bone, gamewise, I know there's more senior fans that have been waiting longer, but I've seen every Browns game since the early 60's. Back then, over grandma and grandpas house for Sunday dinner. My dad always asked me which "jersey color" team I wanted to win, etc.

Even the non-televised/blackout games in the early 90's. A bar 300' north off State Rd and 480 pirated them. Even cops on duty cops were there watchin!

Man, just spent the weekend in Louisville and the Browns fans were loud and proud. At one point Saturday night, you had my gang walking out of a bar and some other Dawgs walking our way, after just leaving a bar two doors down. We're all in our colors; jerseys, hats, shirts, everything.

The hootin' and hollerin', barking and yelling "Cleeeeeveland" had people leaving the middle bar freeze in the doorway until we all passed. We passed them bumping fists and bashing forearms, the barking getting attention from across the street. One guy from their crew turns to the patrons frozen in the doorway and yells...

"THAT'S what I'm, talkin' about!"

It's almost as if everyone was scared... now they know how NFL teams will be feeling this year.

To be honest, I don't feel anything different about the Browns, but then I never cared much what other people felt.

I’d anticipate our home games to be an incredible experience this year. Of course, we’re all a tad nervous about us folding to expectations, but I think we’ve turned the corner.

It would be an incredible sight if we could host a playoff game(s)

Tickets to Browns games are kinda pricey this year.

It's about time. I will list some of mine in the next week or two. In my section they are being listed from $375 to $500 per seat, depending on the game.

I think I will sell my Bears, Steelers, and Lions tickets. Maybe the Thursday night game. I know the Bears and Steeler fans travel. I'll gladly allow them to help fund next years or this years playoff tickets.

If I knew Browns fans were going to buy them, I wouldn't soak them as badly, but I don't have control over who buys them, and after years of eating tickets, I am not going to give them away.

However, over the years there have been some members of this board who helped me out and bought tickets. I haven't forgotten that. Contact me and if I have any, same as always for you. I don't forget things like that.

Heck, you don't even have to buy me a beer since I quit drinking. We can now make it a Diet Coke. Those have to be cheaper than a beer, but then I wouldn't know, I don't know when the last time was that I purchased a soft drink in a stadium. lol Maybe 25-30 years ago for one of my kids before one or more was old enough to go get them. You know, here's $20, go get what you want.
