Oh yes you can. You just have to make the disclaimer it's "For entertainment purposes only".
Wasn't that basically the case the FOX legal team made about their network? I mean that they were first and foremost an entertainment network and shouldn't be taken seriously? Something like that.

I find the term RINO interesting. I believe it was started by Bachelor Jeff Christie (aka Rush Limbaugh).
Not much of a surprise, but from what I see, the RINO's are actually more Old School Republicans. The new Republicans are more or less far right wingers.
There are, I believe, A lot of RINO's in congress, but they are too chicken to stand up.
So, here's to all the RINO's out there.....

Cult of Trump label anyone who doesn't prostrate themselves to Trump as a RINO. It's a convenient label to dismiss the truth that some Republicans sometimes come out with if they have a spine. Doesn't matter how Conservative the politician is - how long their history of being a Republican ... if they don't grovel to Trump they are RINO's.
Easier to brand them the enemy than deal with the truth that elections were safe, that Trump lost, that there is no mass voter fraud, that coercing your allies to investigate your political opponent is wrong.

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
Wait, haven't you claimed to be a Republican voter in your posts for the last 20 years?...although everyone knows you were born a 'dyed in the wool' democrat A true RINO indeed!
Bill Barr on Trump's election fraud claims: "It was all bullsh*t"
Former Attorney General Bill Barr said the Justice Department always knew Trump's claims of election fraud were "bullsh*t," according to an excerpt from journalist Jonathan Karl's upcoming book published in the The Atlantic.
Why it matters: Barr's new comments come as Trump continues to propagate the lie that the 2020 election was "rigged." Republicans in swing states now are conducting "audits" of election ballots based on false conspiracies about the election.
Flashback: Last December, Barr told the AP: "To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election."
That comment infuriated then-President Trump, Barr told the Atlantic. “How the f*ck could you do this to me? Why did you say it?” Trump asked Barr. Barr responded that he said it because it was true. “You must hate Trump. You must hate Trump," Trump said, referring to himself in the 3rd person, according to Barr.
What they're saying: “My attitude was: It was put-up or shut-up time,” Barr told The Atlantic. “If there was evidence of fraud, I had no motive to suppress it. But my suspicion all the way along was that there was nothing there. It was all bullsh*t.”
Barr said the department investigated a specific allegation, spread by Trump allies, that ballots were being wheeled into a central precinct in Wayne County, Mich., but found a simple explanation. “In every other county, they count the ballots at the precinct, but in Wayne County, they bring them into one central counting place. So the boxes are coming in all night. The fact that boxes are coming in—well, that’s what they do.” The department also looked into claims that machines were switching votes from Trump to Biden. "“We realized from the beginning it was just bullsh*t." Barr also said that he told Trump the lawyers pursuing legal election fights were a "clown show."
Barr said that Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) had been urging him to speak out against Trump's false claims since November but would not do so himself. McConnell did not want to upset Trump as he needed Trump to campaign in Georgia.
“Look, we need the president in Georgia,” McConnell said, according to Barr. “And so we cannot be frontally attacking him right now. But you’re in a better position to inject some reality into this situation. You are really the only one who can do it.”
McConnel is a soulless jellyfish. A spineless ghoul. The entire top of the GOP is without an ethical compass. It’s disgusting and about as anti American as it gets.
So William Barr was stating his perspective and not facts? That's your go to line when you got nothing. You blame someone else for starting an argument. If as Barr stated plainly that election fraud was nothing but a big lie, there's not a lot of room for perspective.
I know you can't or won't debate that and somehow you twist that into being my fault. It's not a difficult charade to see past.

Perspective - to me - implies a great level of subjectivity. When there is ample objective evidence of someone's conduct or actions repeatedly reinforcing a notion, it goes beyond individual perspective, and becomes more of an objective reputation.
This is obviously an extreme example, but if someone came out and said "Hitler was a horrible person," I'd find it odd if someone said "Well, that is your perspective."
While Portland was using very strong hyperbole, if you look at McConnell's whole body of work, the story that Pit posted, his recent double-speak during the impeachment, and the new "McConnell Doctrine" when it comes to appointing Supreme Court justices, I think it is fair to say that McConnell has earned an objective reputation of essentially embodying most of what is wrong with modern day American politicians.
You can throw Pelosi in that bucket, too.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw calls for Olympic athlete Gwen Berry to be 'removed from the team' for national anthem protest
Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas called for one of the top American track and field stars to be "removed from the team" after she protested the national anthem during qualifiers for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
Gwen Berry, a hammer thrower and world record holder, turned her back to the flag during the national anthem over the weekend and held an "activist athlete" t-shirt over her face.
Crenshaw has frequently derided cancel culture in media appearances on Fox News and the podcast circuit, calling it a "radical progressive religion."
However, in a Fox News appearance on Monday morning, the Texas Republican said Berry should lose her spot for trying to make a political point on the podium.
"We don't need any more activist athletes," Crenshaw said. "You know, she should be removed from the team. The entire point of the Olympic team is to represent the United States of America. That's the entire point, OK."
"So it's one thing when these NBA players do it - OK, fine, we'll just stop watching - but now the Olympic team?" he continued. "And it's multiple cases of this. They should be removed. That should be the bare minimum requirement."
Berry said she was not expecting the anthem to be played during the ceremony at the winner's podium, where she held the third spot with a bronze medal for her performance. "The Star Spangled Banner" isn't usually played after American qualifying meets like it would be with other nations present at the Olympics or other international competitions.
"I feel like it was set up," she said after the meet. "I feel like they did that on purpose, and I was pissed, to be honest."
Crenshaw attributed Berry's protest to the academic and legal framework of critical race theory, which examines the effect of racism in laws and policies that have a disproportionate impact on people of color, regardless of intent.
Critical race theory has increasingly become an obsession for Republicans in fundraising and messaging efforts.
"Taking it a couple levels deeper, this is the pathology that occurs when we're teaching critical race theory in our institutions ... It results in these displays of hatred towards our own country, and it's gotta stop," Crenshaw said.
American Olympians have long used their visibility to draw attention to political and social causes, most notably with the 1968 Olympics "Black power" salute from track stars Tommie Smith and John Carlos.
Later in a press conference following the meet, Berry said her role as an athlete is secondary to fighting racism.
"I don't need to do anything sport-wise," she said. "What I need to do is speak for my community, to represent my community, and to help my community. Because that's more important than sports."
Crenshaw drives me up a wall. Whenever I want to like him for being one of the few Republicans with a spine, he goes off on something like this.
I was hoping someone would bring up what happened during the Anthem at the trials. I support athlete's rights to demonstrate, but IMO this one just seems more like a temper tantrum on the podium, especially once you read her explanation.
To a certain point, I get the logic of what he's saying: Why are you volunteering to represent your country on the world stage, while also displaying your shame in it? It is a somewhat odd dynamic when you think about it.
On the flip side, I don't necessarily think one mutually excludes the other. You can still be proud to represent the country while protesting a certain issue.

Our nations history and many of the positive changes made were done so through peaceful protest. You can begin with the Boston Tea Party. That's how ingrained in our history it is. Women's suffrage. The long endured and ongoing protests that brought about The Civil Rights Amendment.
Peaceful protest has nothing to do with being ashamed of your country. It has to do with seeing wrongs and trying to right them. No nation is perfect and no political structure is either. Great changes have been made to better our nation through peaceful protests. There are still changes that need to be made and those things will also be addressed via peaceful protests.
It's as American as apple pie.

If people want to silence this woman's protests, but do nothing about the violent protests on Jan 6, then that is just flat out Hypocritical.
Both are protests, both make a statement.. One was within the law, one was outside the law.
Until people get that straight, then they are foolish

Trump supporter warns CNN reporter of 'civil war' if former president not reinstated 'soon'
CNN reporter Donie O'Sullivan spoke with several supporters of former President Trump ahead of his first post-presidential rally on Saturday, many of whom told him they fully expect the real estate mogul to be reinstated before the end of the summer and warned of potential political violence in America if he is not.
"He didn't lose, I know he didn't lose," one woman told O'Sullivan, indicating she believes unfounded claims made by Trump and other Republicans that widespread voter fraud led to an unfair election that swung in President Biden's favor.
Many of the supporters who gathered for the Saturday rally in Wellington, Ohio, wore memorabilia and carried signs with slogans like "Trump won" and "Biden sucks" displayed across them.
"It's about all of them, and 2020 and the next one," another woman told O'Sullivan about her "Trump won" T-shirt.
O'Sullivan pressed the woman on the election's result, saying, "But he lost though in 2020, right?"
"No!" she responded.
A third group of Trump supporters indicated before the rally that the one message they hoped to hear from the former president is that "he's coming back."
Trump has reportedly been pressuring allies in conservative media and other confidants to push his claim that the election was stolen and suggest he will be reinstated as soon as August. There is no mechanism by which such a reinstatement could happen.
"He's coming back soon, and you guys are going down," a Trump supporter in Wellington identified as Ron told O'Sullivan, sparking laughter from others in his group. "The military already knows it was a fraud. He won by over 80 percent."
Ron continued: "He's coming back before the middle of August."
"And what if that doesn't happen?" O'Sullivan asked.
"We're going to be in a civil war because the militia will be taking over," the man responded.
A self-described member of the right-wing Three Percenters militia group who attended the rally told O'Sullivan he was at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, when a mob of Trump supporters breached the complex and briefly halted a joint session of Congress from certifying Biden's Electoral College victory.
At least six members of the Three Percenters have been charged with conspiring to attack the U.S. Capitol that day.
"Yeah, I don't think anybody should have went inside, but when you're worked up in the moment and the adrenaline is pumping, you know, it just happens," the man in a Kevlar vest said.
One woman told O'Sullivan she believed the Jan. 6 insurrection was completely "staged."
O'Sullivan asked the self-avowed militia member if he believed more violence was imminent relative to Trump and the 2020 election.
"Yeah," he responded. "I honestly believe it's coming."
I completely agree with your overall point, but Jan 6 is a bad comparison because it wasn't peaceful, and attempted coup is not protest.
Point taken...
I'm sick of hypocrites. You love America,, Great.. If you do, you gotta accept Americans.. We like protest things that we don't agree with. That's our right... Take that right away, you turn America into Nazi Germany or a Putin Russia.

IMO, her activism works just fine as far as representing the US. I'm not a fan of choosing to make your point when it's time to be respectful to the flag, but I'm not (nor is anyone, really) the arbiter of when and how you're supposed to protest.
The story behind her turning her back on the flag was because she was upset because she thought they were playing the National Anthem specifically because she was on the podium, and not because the scheduled time for playing specifically lined up with her being there (at the Trials, they don't play the Anthem when people have received their medals, only at scheduled times each day... what was actually coincidence she took to be conspiracy).
And I understand why you may feel that way. But I also understand why she chose it as a forum to air her grievance. For your protest to carry its greatest impact it must be done at a place and time where it will be seen by the most people and have the greatest exposure. This was certainly a prime example of that.
I don't expect everyone to agree. As I said, I can definitely understand why some people would object to it.
But I do have something I think is worth consideration. Her display showed to the world that in America you can protest against the government or social policies without retribution. That we have the freedom to speak or minds and stand up for what we believe in without punishment. While we may not agree on the stage she chose to air her grievance, I think we should be able to agree that it sent a message to the citizens around the globe that in America, we have the right to speak our minds. Unless of course some politicians of a certain party get their way and she is punished for it.
I've always said and believe that Democrats, progressive Democrats especially, do a terrible job of branding. Using the anthem as a form of protest is terribly dividing. Using the term defund the police is as well.
They could use a good marketing agency. That's for damned sure.
Believe me, I see symbolism and causes that publicly protest and are displayed which I despise. I wish they would just go away. But as much as I feel that way, I will always stand for their right to do so.
Because if the people I disagree with lose that right, how long will it be until I lose mine?

Not from any evidence I've seen. If republicans would run candidates with some common sense and an actual plan for the future, I would consider it. I've voted republican before. But as of now it's nothing but conspiracy theories, attacking everyone else rather than telling us what they'll do good. All they wish to focus on is that the other side is bad. That and trying to pretend they care about #bluelivesmatter while voters of their own party injured 140 cops. Trying to pretend that Jan. 6th was like a tourist visit to the White house and how Trump actually won the election.
You're going to have to do better than that.

I wish the GOPers had serious candidates and a platform too. Voting for the losers they've put up since 08 would take a person unencumbered by critical thinking. I voted for republicans from Reagan to Bush 2.0 but I wouldn't vote for the clowns they've run since the teabagger party drug the Rs to idiotville if my life depended on it.

I feel very much the same way..
VOted for Reagan, Bush, Bush....I admit I loved McCain but couldn't see us with ole what's her name as a VP. she was Trump before Trump was Trump...
And you nailed it on the teabaggers.. They are the weakness in the republican party.. their stance can't be sustained without killing the country...
