It's been a long two weeks for my family and I would like to ask for prayers for them. My wife and I spent most of fathers day at the Hospital after taking her grandmother there. She was more like a mother to my wife as she lived with her for several years, and always lived right next door. She would have been 98 on Sept 1st, and was still living on her own. We had her approved to move into a assisted living facility near her home when she got released from the Hospital 3 days later.
The Hospital would not release her to go there insisting that she had to be released to a place that offered rehab. (No way in hell she could do that) but we hustled around and got her approved to a nursing home near us. After over 48 hours at the crap hole of of a nursing home the DR still had not been in to see her there and they wouldn't give her any pain meds other than tylenol until after the DR would see her in 3 more days. They also claimed she did not qualify for Hospice. After a day of fighting, and threatening we convinced them to release her to Hospice at her home. One week after going to the Hospital she was now going home to Hospice. She passed away less than 60 hours later at home surrounded by family. We have been busy this week taking care of her affairs, while dealing with problems with my brother.
My brother was found passed out at his home this week in Tenn. and it appears he fell and had been on the floor for several days before anybody found him. He is suffering from stage IV liver cancer which has spread all through his body, his kidneys have shut down, and the rest of his body is doing the same. He is now in palliative care and not expected to make it much longer. Please add a extra prayer for my family as they could all use it right now.

Man GM. This has been a terrible few weeks. It's bad enough to deal with the reality of death without a bunch of unneeded anguish on top. My heart goes out to you.
May grandmother and your brother rest in peace.
Hopefully you can get through the next few days and start moving towards a place where you can embrace the good times and great memories... I'm sure you're numb.

I am so very sorry GM man I wished I could take some of your pain brother.
God knows I have faced my challenges over the past 3-4 months it brings me to tears to hear someone else is experiencing some of those same sort of issues.
I will pray for you and your family, you are among some of the best PEOPLE on the planet here we got you're back you fight for your family will take care of the prayers.
