If you all haven't had a chance to see it yet, this is a good look at the players and what went on at Camp Mayfield. It was good to see the guys together and working out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vs02iwMVH0M

Glad just to see them together. Not many routes run on the film.
But it is all good. Just working together helps build chemistry.
Dude's are rocked up.

1. If I looked like Njoku, I wouldn't ever wear a shirt either. 2. Watching Higgins and Njoku clown around is a good reminder. You would think that with their respective business situations (Higgins being cut a couple times and being brought back on the cheap and then Njoku getting his extension but also talking about wanting out) there might be some tension between the two, but not at all. I'll just say this... I don't think I could separate the business side from the team/football side like they have to. 3. Apparently Hooper was there(?). lol 4. Mayfield is a good host.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Anyone who wants to watch buff guys hanging out, this is the video for you. Lol. That about sums it up. VERY nice to see that Mayfield doesn't look so terribly out of place among the "buff" though. Dude is in great shape, everybody seems to be in great shape. I would imagine hanging out, shaking off the rust, building comraderie and simply running through some drills and workouts was the goal. Cogs in a wheel is the physics of how things get done -- from an X's and O's standpoint. A band of brothers is the emotional component of putting talent and personality together and being willing to do anything to help each other achieve a common goal. "Camp Mayfield" was much more about the latter than the former. Also... David Njoku is a freak of nature.

I'm trying to imagine a camp with Brandon Weeden, Greg Little, Mohammed Massaquoi, Jordan Norwood, Monterio Softesty and Travis Benjamin. Not sure if rookie Josh Gordon might have been there.

This is Landry's new thing. I like the behind the scenes offseason team building. It's apparent these guys have all bought in and are becoming more than just teammates... they are becoming brothers IMHO. This is good for us. I'll tune in next week for episode two and I'm not even interested in 'buff' guys.

What I saw was that these guys seem to WANT to hang out together.
Did I miss it, or did Chubb not show up?
Anyway, it's fun to watch them horse around having fun, laughing it up and getting comfortable with each other again.
Feels right to me.

Wow, What a completely, totally, utterly forgettable player. I got the pun immediately, then just shook my head. Yes. He was in our starting lineup. Dark days, indeed.

What was saddest and darkest about those times is that we were excited about those players. We thought they were building blocks toward a better tomorrow.

Not everyone. A lot of people felt the fans could have drafted better and were asking themselves WTF.

I'm curious For those who didn't like the pick of Mayfield just what direction should we have gone. Hue didn't want the pick. It was DePodesta who I believe made the decision.
Anyways who were we to pick.. Hue wanted Darnold.
I wanted Barkley and then Baker with the 4th pick...so much what I know. We got Chubb who has been amazing and Baker would not have been there at 4.
Just curious who should we have taken. As I look back we made the perfect picks with the exception of Corbett. So our GM was not gifted on evaluating OL. Our next one did with the help of course of DePodesta.
I thought the picks were great and we will have the next great QB.
There are some others who have that potential but sadly many of them will become damaged goods. Baker has the OL he has the run game he has the durability and always picks himself up.
He is in the 2nd year of an Offense and his accuracy will go up to match those of the great QB status along with TDs we already see the discipline to not create turnovers.
I can't wait to see the maturation of Baker...
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

Dorsey made the decision to take Mayfield.
I wanted Darnold. I was wrong about Mayfield. I thought he'd be OK, but nothing special. I was wrong.

I'm sure he does know that, but the way it reads, it looks like we took Mayfield at 1 and Chubb at 4.

Wow, What a completely, totally, utterly forgettable player. I got the pun immediately, then just shook my head. Yes. He was in our starting lineup. Dark days, indeed. Yes they were. Surprisingly, quite a few players on D that year went on to have decent careers on other teams: DQ Buster Skrine Craig Robertson TJ Ward Jabaal Sheard Joe Haden Ahtyba Rubin (one of my favorites) Tashaun Gipson Johnson Bademosi LJ Fort Frostee Rucker Ishmaa'ily Kitchen (he's just here because I've never seen someone so happy to make a tackle)

I loved Rubin. Man, he had incredible mobility for an interior DL, and I don't think I ever saw him miss a tackle.

And if the people who accumulated those picks had been making the picks we wouldn't have those players right now. You see, anyone who constantly trades down accumulates picks. You make it sound like some masterful epiphany.

Actually, we took Ward with #4, we took Chubb with #35 Don't understand the miss communication... I know where we got Chubb my point is we got a superstar RB without picking Barkley I know we used #4 on Ward but was following up my thought process about getting Baker and a stud RB which we did.
DePodesta did the analytics for QB and it came up Baker all the way yes Dorsey followed the science and took Baker but it was one of the few job descriptions of DePo that year...the next he took over the team and started setting the frame work.
