Barkley being out is probably more a continuation of his injury return than a team decision to not play good players. Giants likely may sign another OL before the practices.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Does Vegas have an over/under for the number of expected scuffles during these practices? Just seems to be expected.

IMO coaches and players get more out of joint practices than pre-season games.
Even though the practices are not "to the ground."
It is excellent from a teaching perspective. They can really work on technique. It gives the coaches an opportuntity to teach. It also gives them the ability to see where they are and what else they need to sharpen.
Hopefully nobody gets hurt.
The goal of pre-season is to get ready for the season and remain healthy.

At the very least, it shakes things up a bit. I remember from hockey it got VERY boring going against your own team until the first game.

I agree on joint practice. You don't have to take people to the ground to have a good practice.

Good deal. We aren't going to be able to keep all of them. Hopefully one catches their eye and we work a trade. I'd rather get a 7th rounder....maybe a conditional 6th over getting nothing.

The larger link also includes an article that Jed Wills returns to practice from an ankle. I don't know if this is 24 hours off, what the status is, time will tell. the larger article does mention that Anthony Schwartz returned to practice. \0/ cool cheer. as a headline.
