If you like FF11, Everquest, WOW or other MMO's Sony has a new one comming out in the Spring called Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

I am really excited for this game. You will be able to travel by Dragon, horse, camel, unicorn as well as own your own personal ship to travel the open sea with. It will be PC only at first but I have been hearing Sony may release it for the PS3 sometime next fall.

Been following it for some time now, being a big EQ fan, and disappointed with EQ2, and WoW. I am hoping this game returns to th things that made EQ memorable.

I was granted access to the Beta version of it since I have been a loyal Sony supporter with EQ. Completely forgot about it and am doing the download tonight. I hope to be able to check it out tomorrow.

It seems alright so far.

It has EQ2 style layout and graphics. The customization level of characters is amazing on it!

My brother made a Dark Elf Necromancer and he was able to customize her Bust size He made her DD ... or possibly EE, if that is possible. There are a LOT of races to be. There are Half-Giants, Humans, Dwarves, Goblins, Orcs, numerous Feline species, Gnomes, Half-Elves, Elves, Dark Elves and each is customizable.

Your experience spans the bottom of your screen. Exp is shown in Gold. You automatically start out with newbie armor and weapon. I am playing as a Dwarf Paladin.

It really reminds me a lot of EQ2. I saw a merchant that sells horses and when I looked at his inventory I saw you can buy Saddlebags and armor for the horse. That there is pretty interesting. The game overall seems alright. If it wasn't for the darn lag!! The Beta server I am playing on has over 1200 people on it and the PVP server has 600. I'm sure the PVP server will not have as much lag. But it is PVP and find that more difficult.

Just a bit more to add about the races and gameplay. There is only one cat race and 2 Gnoll like races. There are no reptile races (like the Iksar etc...). I deleted my Dwarf Paladin and made a Goblin Rogue. I found the Goblin to be a VERY fun character and I enjoyed the newbie quests for them. It seems that the Goblins are the slaves of the Orcs and your first quest is to escape an Orc slave ship with a fellow slave in toll

Very fun quest and I was emersed in the Goblin storyline.
