Welp...if I remember correctly I have only picked the browns to lose once this year. (Minnesota) unfortunately the timing of this game is not good for the browns, as the Patriots have rattled off 3 straight wins and are hot. We probably wont have chub or felton not to mention whoever else if anyone tests positive in the next few days. This sucks but it is what it is.
Browns-20 Patriots-30
browns will get a late td when game is out of reach

Think they have RB issues too, and I think Baker is the better QB. We will win this unless BB gets a good lead. I'm thinking in the neighborhood of 34-24 Browns.

Pats may be without their top two rushers. It's just too early for me to predict Browns 27 Pats 18, so I will wait until tomorrow

If I'm fully on the Joe Woods band wagon - 17-10 Browns.
If I'm not 100% on the JW band wagon - 21-17 Pats.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

Tough game ahead IMO. They’re well coached and good defensively
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

My post from the "Beating he Patriots" thread: Defensively, I think the gameplan would be similar to the one we had against Chicago. Lets see how the rookie can handle intense pressure. If it doesn't work, then adjust. As much as I've complained about Woods this year, he's made some good halftime adjustments. I feel confident in our CBs ability to cover well, which counters (to a point) Jones' strength - his accuracy. If he has smaller windows to throw into and he's getting pressured he makes mistakes. I expect a lot of short passes with 3 step drops from Jones. I'm not overly concerned with their run game, but have enough talent to hurt us.
Offensively - well the Pats are second best in the league with respect to passer rating and middle of the league in rushing. I think they focus on stopping D'Ernest and put the game onto Baker's shoulders to beat them. Play action and our TEs will likely be important early. I also think we need to go deep early so they don't stack the box. I do expect Jarvis to have a big game in number of catches. I'd expect we'll see some end arounds and jet sweeps as well if they're keeping D'Ernest in check.
It'll be an interesting game. The Pats have beaten the Jets x2, The Texans, the Chargers and the Panthers. They've lost to the Dolphins, Saints, Bucs, and Cowboys. They've beaten one team with a winning record and lost one game to a team without a winning record. This said they beat the Chargers just 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure how good they really are. They're beating the bad teams and losing to the good ones as a whole. I'd like to think we're a good team and should beat them. The O/U looks to be 44.5 which seems about right to me. I'll go with the under. Browns 23 Pats 20

We've beaten two teams with (barely) winning records and lost one game to a team without a winning record. This said, we beat the Bengals just 1 week ago. I'm not sure how good they really are. We're beating the bad teams and losing to the good ones as a whole. Patriot fans would like to think they're a good team and should beat us. just saying.
Browns fans are born with it...

The only question is one I think worthy of consideration. The Jets beat the Bengals just one week prior to us beating them. So does part of it mean the Bengals were just playing worse? I'm not saying that beating them is meaningless. And we certainly stepped on their throats unlike the Jets did. But a good team who is playing up to their potential doesn't lose to the Jets.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Yes, the Jets beat them, but we crushed them... that's the difference. They still scored 31 points on the Jets.

I would certainly hope we would beat them worse than the Jets did. But when it came to scoring on the Bengals, we only scored 7 more points than the Jets did.

If I'm not 100% on the JW band wagon - 21-17 Pats. So the difference between you having full faith in Joe Woods and just partial faith is one touchdown? If the Browns can sustain the intensity they had in Cincy, and keep that "every game is a must win" attitude.. they win this one relatively comfortably, 30-17.

whatever recipe Woods used last week was the perfect ingredients for our personnel. I really hope he realizes that and adopts that going forward.. That looked like a defense that could be nasty once you add JOK back in the mix

My BBFS now has me wondering if the defense we saw vs Cinci was an aberation. Shouldn't be because it's the 3rd solid defensive effort in a row, but it was still a massive shift in terms of how we deployed our secondary.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

2 td ... minus 1 Fg
I think our defense is OK. It's whether they are very good. An 11 point spread on those two options seems about right

An 11 point spread on those two options seems about right I realized after that I did the math wrong, I subtracted their score from our score, then divided by 2, added a FG and a 2 pt conversion, then put it into a quadratic equation to solve for X and came up with 1 TD.. my bad.

You reach a point of diminishing return on that kind of stat when the other team scores 34 points.. how many teams score more than 40 each week on ANYBODY? Not a lot. Plus, the Jets were playing from behind most of the game, always in comeback mode... we were playing with a fairly significant lead most of the day and we did keep scoring but we didn't have to be in a hurry to do it.

Depends on which RB's can dress out and which Woods shows up. Some JOK would be great to see.

if the game is that high scoring I’ll be surprised! I think it’ll be a lower scoring affair. Something like 19-16

If we are successful at pressuring the quarterback and winning the turnover game; we win easy by 14 or more.
If we do not do those things it will be a hard fought close game.

We never play well there , usually in this type of game Mac Jones will look like Brady , and Baker will try too do too much with no Chubb

I'm going 27-17 the good guys. While it's true D'ernest is not Nick Chubb, our OL didn't just turn into chopped liver because Chubb isn't in the line up either. Not that's there's anything wrong with chopped liver. Now that Woods has decided to cut the Dawgs loose it will be much harder for a rookie QB to shine.
