Wow, trouble just seems to find this kid... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/nfl/11/07/bc.fbn.bengals.henry.ap/index.htmlHenry in altercation with attendant On eve of return to Bengals, WR in parking argument Posted: Wednesday November 7, 2007 5:06PM; Updated: Wednesday November 7, 2007 5:06PM CINCINNATI (AP) -- Receiver Chris Henry reportedly was involved in an altercation with a parking attendant on the eve of rejoining the Cincinnati Bengals from his eight-game suspension. Henry practiced with the Bengals on Wednesday and will be eligible to play Sunday in Baltimore. Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended him for the first half of the season for violating the NFL's conduct policy. The third-year receiver stayed out of trouble during the suspension and was allowed to practice with the team for the last two weeks. He sat out the 33-21 loss in Buffalo on Sunday that dropped his last-place team to 2-6. On Tuesday night, police in Newport, Ky. -- a suburb on the other side of the Ohio River within view of Paul Brown Stadium -- were called to an entertainment district following a dispute over a parking fee. A parking attendant told police that Henry and another man parked their sport utility vehicle without paying. According to an incident report, the attendant said Henry argued loudly with him and said, "Don't you know who I am?" The attendant, Jason Baker, 35, of Bellevue, Ky., told police that Henry threw a $5 bill on the ground, but it was returned to him and police were called. No charges have been filed. Baker was told by police that he could file a complaint with prosecutors if he wanted to pursue the matter. Baker didn't return a phone message on Wednesday. The Bengals were aware of the report but had no comment, noting that no charges had been filed. Copyright 2007 Associated Press. All rights reserved. That's part of his problem right there. He thinks he's above the law because he plays pro sports. He won't last long till he's suspended again.

wow.... it didn't take him long at all to find his way back into the negative limelight, did it?
I would expect that if Marvin Lewis is allowed to hang on past this season, that Chris Henry won't be without a MAJOR ass-kicking from his teammates.

Wow...he was probably at the Levy.
This is sad...a Professional Football player being an idiot over $5. I really can't express how disgusted I am with him and others in the league like him.

He won't last, hes the type that will just get himself in trouble again. Maybe not this season or the next, but sooner or later he will get caught again.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Bengal fans will just blow this off, like they do everything else. Obviously I don't think the league should do anything, but I believe Marvin should. This in it's self is a non issue, but doing it right now? He still thinks he can do anything he wants and it is up to Lewis to send him a message. I'm not advocating any certain punishment, but Marvin needs to punish him in some way.

If Lewis has a shred of integrity left, oh Henry won't see any PT on Sunday. I wonder how much the low life bungle organization is paying that attendant not to press charges?

You know football players can get their asses kicked too . I would love to have an enlightened conversation with this guy and see how much of a man he is...
The Ravens are a disgrace, and Billick has proven that he's no "offensive genius". Third place, here we come!

I really hate to see this stuff from professional athletes. They have the chance to be rich, famous, and set a good example for their peers and our youth but they just throw it all away.

As much as we all enjoy seeing Bengals get in trouble, this is all alleged stuff. While I wouldn't put it past Henry, I'd like to hear more of the story before I believe it as rock solid.

One ban lifted, another applied Complaint filed after Newport incident By Kevin Goheen Post staff reporter The Bengals have been looking forward to having receiver Chris Henry back in the lineup Sunday at Baltimore for the first time this season. Suspended the first eight games without pay by the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct policy, Henry was reinstated to the team Monday. Nothing has been quite so simple for Henry the past 24 months and on Wednesday word of a complaint lodged against Henry surfaced. The complaint stems from an incident Tuesday evening at Newport on the Levee. No charges have been filed against Henry or a companion in which a valet at the entertainment complex alleges there was an argument and confrontation over a $5 parking fee. According to the report on the incident that Newport police wrote, Parking Solutions employee Dave Frank of Southgate approached Henry and a companion after they parked their car without paying. Henry became loud, and started to argue over the parking. Another employee, Jason Baker of Bellevue, intervened and Henry also raised his voice to him. Baker told police that Henry confronted him, chest to chest, making him walk backward, saying, "F--- you, f--- this, don't you know who I am?" He told police Henry then threw a $5 bill onto the ground and said, "You better pick that up, b----." Baker did, handed it to Henry and asked him to leave or he would call the police. As he was calling for security, Henry's companion pushed the microphone into his face, pushing him backward, Baker said. Baker told police he felt Henry was about to fight him until security showed up and his companion pulled Henry away. Henry and companion left in a 2007 Land Rover, headed across the Taylor-Southgate Bridge into Cincinnati. But they returned later, and Baker identified them for the police. Newport on the Levee security banned them from the shopping center and asked them to leave, according to the police report. A few minutes later, Baker told the police that Henry and companion walked past him on their way out and told him, "F--- you, you better hope I don't see you again." Henry spoke to the media Wednesday but his meeting with reporters took place before any widespread knowledge of the complaint filed with Newport police. Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, through the team's public relations department, requested Henry address only football-related questions. The Bengals had no comment on the situation. "We're aware of the report," said public relations director Jack Brennan, "but at this point there isn't anything substantive to the report." Henry is still eligible to play against the Ravens. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello, in an e-mail response to The Post, said that as the situation stands - with no formal charges being filed - Henry will be allowed to play. Henry was arrested four times in a period of seven months beginning in November 2005, actions that led to his suspension. The league had previously suspended Henry for two games last season, while Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis placed him on the game-day inactive list for one game for violating team rules. Henry was allowed to be at the team facilities working out and attending meetings during his suspension this season. The NFL granted him permission to resume practicing with the team two weeks ago. The Bengals, losers of six of their eight games, could use Henry's talents and abilities. While they are ranked seventh in the NFL in yards per game on offense (353.1 yards), and No. 8 in points scored (24.8) they have struggled to consistently put their attack together. Take away three touchdowns scored on defensive or special teams returns and the Bengals offense has accounted for 177 points this season. More than one-third of those points (76) were scored in two games; at Cleveland and against the New York Jets, a pair of teams that rank at the bottom of the league's defensive stats along with Cincinnati. "We have some (games) where we score quite a few and then we go into games and we don't," said offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski. "There are a lot of reasons behind it but, again, it's the inconsistency. We have to get it evened out a little bit." Henry has 67 receptions in his two seasons with the Bengals and scored 15 touchdowns. "That's what I do - get in the end zone," said Henry on Wednesday. "I've just got a knack. Every time I touch the ball I'm trying to score." Opponents can't defend the Bengals the same way when Henry is in the game with starters Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh. "He's a huge part of what they do," said Baltimore head coach Brian Billick. "And when they put those three on the field, that's quite a threat." Ravens safety Ed Reed agrees: "He's another deep threat. He's another good receiver to add to Houshmandzadeh and Chad. He's definitely a big part of what they do." Henry wasn't available to the Bengals when they beat Baltimore 27-20 in the season opener. The Ravens held the Bengals to 236 yards offense in that game but Cincinnati's defense forced six turnovers, which led to 24 points. Henry has played in four games against the Ravens in his career. He's caught eight passes for 141 yards and scored three touchdowns. Henry practiced with the first team for the first time on Wednesday. "I don't think you make the expectations on what he's going to be capable of doing right away but hopefully we can get some plays out of him," said Bratkowski. "He found out a little today that his conditioning level isn't exactly where it needs to be but there is only one way to do that - playing football. You can run all the drills and stuff but actually playing it is the thing. Those two weeks helped him ... I told him today that he's looked better every practice he's been out." Said Houshmandzadeh: "Whatever he can give us is a bonus. He can only help us. He won't hurt anything that we do." Henry's teammates spoke Wednesday of their belief in Henry, that the time away from the game gave the 24-year-old some perspective. Quarterback Carson Palmer has been a steadfast supporter of Henry. "He's on a short leash and he knows that," said Palmer on Wednesday during his weekly press conference. "He's had to change a lot of things, changed a lot of things in his life, and has done a phenomenal job. He loves football so much and he's so competitive. It was so hard for him to be standing around for eight games and watching games on TV on the road and watching from the sidelines at home. It just tore a hole in his heart, and I think he's really realized how much he loves football and how much he's missed it. It's just great to see him out there smiling and running around and to see him happy again and excited about playing." Given what is alleged to have happened Tuesday night in Newport, Henry's troubles may not be over. "Just stay out of trouble," said running back Rudi Johnson, who had no knowledge of the incident when he spoke to reporters. "He doesn't have to prove anything on the field. We all know what he can do and what he brings to the table offensively. All we need him to do is just be on the field and be with us and he'll be fine." Post staff reporter Kevin Eigelbach contributed to this report. http://news.cincypost.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AE/20071108/SPT03/711080305/

OK, I changed my mind. Lewis does need to sit his ass down and the league should look into this report. It is a little worse than I thought from reading the first blurb.

First, I think this is junk. No one did anything wrong here. He could have waited in line forever while a parking attendant was on a cell. Who knows, but there isn't anything in this.
Second, maybe more people would know who he is if he weren't suspended all the time?

You're entitled to your opinion, but it scares me to think, even for a second that anyone in thier right mind would condon this kinda behavior from anyone...
If this were Henrys first offense of this nature, I'd probably kinda agree with you that there was more to the story,, but this PUNK keeps getting into these kind of scrapes.. So who you gonna believe... the parking attendent that probably had no ax to grind and is most probably a Bengals fan to boot,, or a player who's proven to be a hot headed, loud mouth PUNK?
I take the parking attendent..... you can do what you want...

It's not just Henry of course... These kids,, even the ones that come out of college and aren't drafted but are still signed by a team... if they make it, then they make the league minimum.. What's that number now...$250.000 or is it more,, I think it's more..
Now where is a fresh college grad, NOT from an Ivy League School gonna make that kinda money (legally) when they are 24 years old or even a bit younger? Answer,, they aren't..
Yet they punk up on everyone and act like idiots.... Then they do a Mike Vick, end up losing the dough,, and in jail... STUPID
I know that when these kids get some money, they actually become targets of unscrupulous individuals. I know the league tries to prepare them for that by having that rookie thing every year where they bring investment people and legal people in to advise and teach.
But it doesn't seem as if the league teachs them to be aware of thier biggest enemy..... Themselves!..... of maybe they do and some of them are too stupid to get it.....
Wow, it always seems to come back to just being stupid doesn't it.. Geesh

If he gets in trouble again, he's done playing or at the very least looking at 1 year. If that's the case, he's screwed.
If the Bengals are serious about getting their house in order, he's going to be a F.A. this offseason.

Sorry, but after reading your last post I think you are full of crap. The large majority of these kids coming out of college to the NFL don't act the way you paint them. Start naming me UDFAs that made teams and start acting this way? Maybe you should check to see how many put together charities. Yes, I know they get tax breaks for charities but there are many other ways to get tax breaks where they don't have to give to others.
I believe league minimum is like $275K. The thing is most of the players that make that know they won't be around for long and are pretty wise with their money. Of course you are always going to have exceptions, but they are exceptions, not the norm.

First off, do I talk to you that way? No, but I will probably start
Anyway, Of course the majority of them are just fine.. They come to a team,, work hard, some become successful and some don't but for the most part, they are good people.. Thanks for pointing out my idiot thinking..
Still some come out and oddly enough, it's rarely if ever one of the guys that was a UDFA, and they just act like idiots... Some of them take years to turn into PUNKS...
Take TO for instance.. maybe I just wasn't paying attention, but when he was with Frisco, he didn't act totally out of wack,, I mean he did some things that were out of touch but not too too bad.. (loved the sharpie thing) But then he makes all the comments when he didn't want to go to Baltimore and he ends up in Philly,, and basically, after that first year, he ripped that team apart and it's never recovered since.. not completely anyway..
So TO, Vick, Pacman, and the other DO give the whole league a black eye and yeah, sometimes guys like me take it too far when we lay it at the feet of ALL of these kids...
LIke you say Pdawg,, most are decent kids... to them I apologize,,,
