To all of my past serving "Brothers in Arms" from Giessen,Germany (2 / 92 FA and 3rd / 79th AA) and also stateside at (MEDDAC) Martin Army Hospital at Ft. Benning,Ga., I remember you guys everyday that I wake up.....
The Ravens are a disgrace, and Billick has proven that he's no "offensive genius". Third place, here we come!
Mike, I didnt know you served. I rescpect your opinion on here as well as many others and I know that you are now a "Browns Fan" which is cool beause the Ravens suck. I didnt know how to take it that you are now rooting for the Browns, but being a vet sure makes it easier for me. There isnt a day goes by that I dont think of the men I served with while in the Marines.
I was in Germany in 1984 when an Army Major was shot and killed by East German soldiers in Berlin..I was certain WWIII was about to begin as I sat up in the deep hills of the Fulda Gap. I could actually see the Soviet and East Germans warming up their vehicles anticipating that we were about to strike, but it all fizzled out...I guess that's a good thing, I'm still here to talk about it....

US Navy vet here,,I am thankful those those that have come before me and after me,,especially those brothers that can no longer walk the face of the Earth b/c they made the ultimate sacrifice for us all.
Our honor defend, we will fight to the end, for OHIO! GO BUCKS!
Happy Veterans Day for all of those of you who have served. I am truely grateful for your service and patriotism.
On a off topic, the union of the company I work for negotiated that Veteran's Day be a Holiday and it was added this day. Glad the union is good for something...Not being an hourly union guy I was glad it carried over to us as well.
I'm coming home, I'm coming home, tell the world I'm coming home

As a Navy vet..........very well said!
I feel that my tour of duty was way too easy compared to so many others that gave the ultimate sacrifice......I had a good time protecting our country so to speak......I did not give my life for this great county......I am so thankful for all that did!
Thanks for starting this thread and reminding us again of the importance of a strong military presence in the world.
Thanks to all who raised their hand and took the oath...especially the fine men and women from the WWII days without whose sacrifices we'd not even have this discussion.
A special note to mention my 85 year old mother who as an Army nurse was stationed on Pearl Harbor and my deceased dad who chased Rommel in N.Africa and fought in Italy from spring of 1941 to 1946.
The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, .
I'm a veteran as well, and trust when I say this vets across the country appreciate all the kind thoughts. It's a job not suited for everyone, but once a person takes the oath and swears to support and defend the constitution of the United States of America, their life changes.
If you see a vet today, say thanks they will truly be grateful for the kind comment.
Thanks to all that currently or have served (and those that will in the future as well).
While I've never served, I'm a Navy gal. All the men in my family that have served have been Navy men...as my friend said last night...I love Seamen! I do support the troops through work as well. I currently count the Marines and the Navy Exchanges as 2 of my accounts and they're my favorite accounts to work with. I love being able to visit SOME of the Exchanges (though I haven't been able to wrangle trips to Pearl and various other overseas locations yet.)
lol I haven't thought about the Gap for a long time. Was there any place in the history of warfare that would have seen such action had any ever kicked off ? Not one square inch of the place that was not on someones rangecard ?
