I watched the movie last night… I don’t quite know what to make of it, but we can call it a dark comedy, satire, or a surreal commentary on our society today.

It is on Netflix, and I would suggest that it is worth the watch.

I don’t agree with some of the pre movie hype. It is a lot deeper and darker look at politics, visual media, and social media of our current world.

There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

My wife and I watched it last night. Some of the parallels brought up in the movie were spot on. It's a rather long movie but the pace wasn't slow. We really enjoyed it. It had one helluva cast too. Thanks again.

Decent, thought-provoking flick. It's star-studded too. Without spoilers, in the ending, what happens to the group that left was the only unrealistic part of the movie. The rest could be happening right now.

It was good. I can see all that happening except the very end.

just finished it with the family.

what a great dark comedy. and a huge reflection on the state of our society. i like how accurate the movie was depicting the scientist and how socially awkward they are in public. having to rely on brain dead politicians to relay serious information to society.

Watched it twice... since all I can do is lay on the couch with covid.

Very good. Very entertaining. And yes, a mirror image of today's society in so many ways. Noticed a lot more of the second-level, tongue in cheek jabs the second time around. Loved it!

Thanks bro. It was actually about the same this time as last, trade out a sore throat for coughing this time and add a low-grade fever every night this time... That sucked because I couldn't sleep, had slept about 7 hours combined the first three days but got a solid five last night. Mucinex broke the cough late day two and that relieved most of the pain and discomfort.

Day five and I'm about back to normal, just need to work on getting the energy back. Watched a lot of movies lol. I don't think many people can say they watched Castaway twice in a row, back to back. Thought the second time would put me to sleep but it didn't work!

If you need something on TV to go to sleep by, there's a series on Prime called "Corner Gas". It's the Canadian version of "a show about nothing". The characters are semi likeable, it's kind of funny, and it puts you to sleep. I've been watching it for a few months, and I never make it thru a 30m episode before nodding off.

That speaks volumes about t.v. in general.

I don't watch t.v. other than Browns games (when I can - thanks to the feud between Dish and Tenga). But, with covid, I tried. I literally tried hard to watch a show. Couldn't do it. It seemed like 2 minutes of show, and 3 minutes of ads.

Lol. That may have to be the new "go to". That's funny because my current show for counting sheep is Forensic Files. I've seen them all so there is no real interest and the narrator is about the most monotone of all time. It just left Netflix.
