What is it with kickers nowadays? Greg Zuerlein just missed his 6th FG of the year for Dallas. A couple years ago I thought he was up there with Justin Tucker. He's older and he's got a lot of usage; the Rams used the crap out of him when they were terrible.

Correct. Personally, I couldn't care less who are QB, RB, WR, any of our players are if they win and nobody else should either.
Some people think its more important to have Baker Mayfield as starting QB at all costs. When you look at the team, you're supposed to take a comprehensive approach and at the end of the day its a business. Rather than being a fan of the team there are a small group of folks who are fans of the player instead. Its something you'll constantly see on Facebook and other platforms from Baker Mayfield defenders. Its like they'll defend him till the day they die or something, its ridiculous.
Find what you love and let it kill you.

Browns fans, especially, should know the answer to that question. It doesn't matter. It is the same as saying we should win preseason games,to change the culture. The culture will change when the Browns get players that don't crap their pants when the pressure is on.
Indecision may,or maynot,be my problem

As long as stefanski is allowed to call offensive plays we may not make playoffs again. Pelt will probably leave after this season . Stefanski will probably be allowed to hand pick his " young and inexperienced " next offensive coordinator who wont be ready to call plays so stefanski can keep doing it himself

And if that is the same guy in the future, don't let me catch you watching. You should go root for the Bengals… Get you a Burrough jersey and a stuffed Joe B plush to cuddle with at night. You know if you come at me, I will take ya to the paint. Happy cuddling bro. lol and here we go. you and mgh be on the same nonsense. i want the TEAM to win. i root for players on the TEAM until they prove they aint got it. just like i bailed on Mingo before anybody else. i wanted baker to be the franchise just like everyone else. but its been 4 years already, and theres 2 QB's JUST in our division with more talent and skill than him. thats just a fact. baker cant even consistently beat an old ass big ben, which would make him 4th in division QB's. i want the BROWNS to win. i just dont believe baker is that dude anymore. Fair enough. And I was mostly busting your balls in that last couple posts anyway. I'm just not listening to Burrough is better than Baker because of this whack ass season. Baker didn't play well enough this year, and he mostly played hurt, but 52 others fell short as well last year's coach of the year. So, it can't all land on Baker. And one more thought, I can't stand Lamar and don't think he'll be a starter after his legs slow down. Like Vick, he'll have a short but great career as a run first QB. But Huntley looks like the real deal, and he may be as impressive as Burrough IMO. I hope somebody (not us), pays to get Huntley for a starter this off season. Just so he's not riding pine behind Lamar for the next several years. Lamar gets sick or banged up just enough to leave chinks in their armor, but if Huntley comes in, there's no noticeable drop off. Sometimes you would think he's Lamar's little brother, the way he runs. And He's a better passer than Lamar by far.

How is the Broncos at Chargers game not on television. If the Chargers beat the Broncos, they'd eliminate the Browns mathematically. and the broncos.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Broncos are getting whooped by LAC so, thanks to the refs in the KC/CIN game for that bogus offsetting penalties call on 4th and goal, we appreciate that

How depressing is it when Cousins is an upgrade over Baker?
And Wilson makes me nervous. He's been pretty bad this year.
I will not follow this team if they make a play for Watson. QFT on all of this. Cousins IS an upgrade over Baker - though you could argue marginal. He's also older. I go with whomever I can get cheaper and start looking for their replacement now, either way. Wilson is an upgrade, but he's also on the downside of his career and at his size and propensity to run combined with his age - he's an increasing injury risk. He'd also take a ton to get. The fear here is you trade away all your draft capital and budget for a guy who only plays a year or two and is done. That's a recipe to guarantee another decade of losing seasons. Watson? Upgrade yes. Young enough, yes. But life is more important than football. He (likely) should be in prison instead of the football field. I will refuse to follow ANY organization willing to take him on.

But does it help the team towards a winning culture to lose the last two games? I think these last two games will have zero impact on the Browns culture win or lose. The Browns will be facing Brandon Allen and the rest of the Bengals B-team next week in a game nobody will remember.

Couple of reasons:
Off season - players already thinking about time off, vacations, family, preparing for next season
Roster turnover after season - I am making this number up, but it’s something like average of 20% of the team will be turned over. So a portion of your roster wasn’t there for those non-important the end of the season games.
Draft pick - better draft pick means more choices. If you hit on that person, your culture changes. I know this example is to back my post, but would you agree that Parsons has helped transform Dallas’s D? The FO just needs to keep bringing in those talented/leadership or team player free agents that fill holes.
Just few examples of why it doesn’t matter

I really, really like Baker. He is a cool dude. I wish he could be great. But it is year four, and he makes bad decisions which aren’t caused by injuries. Some guys on the defense played their tails off and Baker blew their shot at the playoffs. He has never done anything like what Joe Burrow did today. I’m for keeping him next year while working some sort of backup angle. If a good prospect fell out of the first round, I say use a two on him. We’re too close to being a contender to have this kind of play at the most important position.

What a depressing day. I really thought the Chiefs were going to win that game.
Oh well, maybe the Browns will learn from this. Can't put your fate into the hands of other teams.
Long offseason ahead, our window is closing to make a serious playoff run.

atleast the media wont be talking about us. antonio brown just gave everyone a months worth of material in 30 minutes. I realized that the Broncos vs Chargers score didn't even matter. The Browns were eliminated from the playoffs at 4 pm today, When the Bengals beat the chiefs the Browns lost any chance at winning the division. and when the Raiders beat the Colts, the Browns lost any chance at the wild card if not before. Because the Raiders swept the Broncos, the Broncos can no longer get 2nd place in the AFC west, if the Browns, who can still get 2nd place in the afc north can't be up 1 v 1 against the broncos who the Browns beat, then the Browns can't win the final wc spot. because the dolphins, the Browns are behind when the Browns lost to the raiders the colts the browns are behind by virtue of conference record 7-5 vs 6-6 best (for browns) case scenario. the raiders the Browns are behind by head to head loss the Chargers the Browns are behind by head to head loss The Browns are eliminated. The Ravens, by virtue of their head to head wins over both the Chargers, and the Colts are still mathematically alive. the Steelers, by virture of their tie against the Lions could still finish 1/2 game ahead of teams that may finish 9-8 so they are not eliminated yet either. But, the Browns, are eliminated. So the NFL offices, and New York, who has been against the Browns all season, finaly got what they wanted.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

atleast the media wont be talking about us. antonio brown just gave everyone a months worth of material in 30 minutes. I don't know. The media loves to talk about the Browns and Baker. They will spend a good portion of the week talking again how they are the most disappointing team in the league. The last two games are absolutely meaningless and will not matter one iota moving forward. I'll actually be agitated if they celebrate scores. They had one goal this year. One. Super Bowl. They can't even make the playoffs two years in a row. With a beaten down Ravens squad. With a terrible Pitt squad. And they can't even make the playoffs. Unbelievable. This franchise is at its most pathetic point. Worse than 0-16, 1-31. They are at the absolute bottom. Again. What a joke this franchise is. I keep thinking to myself that us fans deserve better. Long standing, loyal fanbase that always maintains hope. But maybe our ancestors did something to cause this. I mean can anyone explain to me how Bengals fans deserve this more than Browns fans. It's mind boggling. Everything, and I mean everything the Browns did last year, has been undone. They have no foundation. Nothing to build on. Wake me when we find our Brady/Rodgers/Manning. Nothing will change until we do.

An injury-riddled season had us in the hunt until our second to last game (in previous years we'd have been talking draft for months at this point).
Disappointing, absolutely. But going off the deep end and saying it's worse than our record-breaking streak of losses is way overboard.
