Your really like dramatic hyperbole. You should be a writer for my soap.
Your politics could use some soap. Stinkin' thinkin' has got you nowhere. Hell, you're a libertarian, the laughingstock of American politics, and you want to act like others have it all wrong. I couldn't make that ish up if I tried! Maybe you are living in a soap opera of your own creation. “As the Eve lies”… a psycho babbler soap about the unrealistic worldview of a broom riding libertarian.
I'd rather be a libertarian who has no chance, than a radical left socialist. At least libertarians are respected. The radical left is well known to be bat crap crazy. The Dems are dropping like flies out of congress. Who will fill their shoes? Your reputation is so bad that it taints the liberal moderates and the independents will vote GOP.
Nothing arch or anyone else has said has had any impact on me posting or what I post. It never will, you included. So no, weak ass Jr. High BS doesn't bother me. I actually think people should bring some substance to the table instead of lame crap like that. But hey, you do you.

So let's run this back real quick. What you're saying is that during a riot taking place inside the Capitol that has forced those inside to barricade themselves inside an office prior to evacuation, with chants of "Hang Mike Pence" going on, you want their response to someone forcing their way in through a window and not responding to commands to stop to... run up and tackle that person? The whole point of a barricade is to keep the crazies out, and you not only want them to allow that person in and keep them there, but have the cop give up their position and run up on that person when they don't know if they're armed or not, or if anyone is following behind them.
Eve, being an officer at the Capitol during the attempted coup isn't a video game. You don't get to save-reload to achieve all the bonus objectives, and you don't get multiple lives before 'game over'.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
You don't use deadly force unless your life or someone else's life is in danger, period. Pretty sure capital police are trained on how to deal with mobs.
Who cares what they were yelling. First amendment. If your feelings are hurt by what someone was yelling then you should go find a safe space to hide in.
The fact you're unwilling to connect what people in the riot were saying and doing and the people behind that barricade being in danger is truly fascinating. Your decision/ability to be completely unencumbered by common sense is remarkable.

You really need better sources of information. Your Fox watcher brain is exposing itself now. It's obvious you live in a trumpian bubble.

NOPE. That cop did what any patriot would do and put that dog down. I wish they would have put down more that day. Maybe then we wouldn't have to convince the Q crowd that it actually happened, and it was bad. Or argue with trolls on the internet about how the fascism you are trying to protect, is the real threat to America.

I guess I can't blame you, because I'd be ok with them shooting some Marxists in the streets. Put them all down.
Hardly. I didn't say anything about killing Trumpians in the street. I said more should have been put down during the insurrection, you know, the attempted overthrow of our democracy. But it's obvious you don't care about that, because you still avoid addressing it, like Trump avoids telling the truth. Wish I could give you a bucket of reality to soak your head in for a while, maybe you wouldn't be such a Walter Mitty.
An out of control mob riled up by Trump and company, then aimed like a missile at the Capitol Building, is hardly a happenstance event. It was an insurrection by definition, and a pitiful attempt at a coup by the same losers that still influence you and the right today. Damn, you really will swallow anything, won't you? As long as it's your right-wing terroristic flavor, they can throw anything down your throat. It's true, some people will fall for anything.
Not really. During that speech, Trump LITERALLY TOLD THEM TO PROTEST PEACEFULLY.
But that doesn't fit the libtard agenda, does it.
And you believe this is what he was *wink-wink* expecting them to do? And he only said that after he said they were going to have to fight like hell to save democracy. You are either being foolish, naive, or facetious; all three are troubling.
My only real disgust is the hate in some people's hearts as evidenced by some of the comments in here.
... and still no response from you about the behavior of those involved in the Jan 6 assault on the Capitol. Plenty of disgust for us law-abiding citizens with opinions, though.
Don't bother now. You have enough mouth to chastise folks on this board, but are silent about people who attacked our democracy. Keep doing You. We all see.
I will.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
Capitol Police barricaded members of Congress in a room, and she was climbing through a window trying to get to them. He had his gun drawn and yelling at her to stop and she didn't. What else is supposed to happen in this situation?
I agree on both fronts.

Thanks for the sensible comment, Oobs.
SO, Wait, you agree she's the criminal, broke the law and got what she deserves?

Oh, saying fight for what you believe in politically isn't bad. Saying it might need to go further to a crowd you've spent months lying to, just to get them whipped up into a political frenzy, so you can then point them like a semi human missile at the heart of our democracy… THAT'S TRAITOROUS.
Show the tape with the time marker. The only time I heard that was after the insurrection happened. But he had his boy Rudy and others calling for trial by combat… so, pretend, dismiss, excuse all you want. The world saw everything in detail.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner.
I may not say she got exactly what she deserved, just like I would not say many of the recent shootings of black people being taken in to custody by police were "deserved".
That said, once the protest started damaging property and threatening safety, that crossed from being a peaceful protest to a riot. At that point the rules of engagement change.
My problem is that many who use this as their flash point moment don't say a "friggen" thing about riots in cities or say anything about suspects being taken in to custody who start fighting or fleeing the police. Every excuse in the world is used to support them, so, it is what it is. Don't think for a moment this is some "got ya" the way you may have felt in your reply.
Here is the deal folks, law and order is pretty clear cut. Either it is lawful and orderly or it isn't. When we start to pick and choose what is and what isn't, and act on those choices in violent ways, we are done as a society.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
Oh, Peen is upset that riots in other cities, or suspects that get taken into custody after fighting or fleeing the police, don't get enough acknowledgement. Is it because he can't discern the difference between riots in other cities and riots inside the US Capitol Building during the certification of the President-elect? Yet all the recent coverage shows that Trump had planned the whole thing in detail and kicked it off with a fiery speech before heading to his bunker. That means it wasn't a riot but an insurrection. Peen, that means they were AND still are attempting a coup to topple our democracy. I tell you this knowing you will just roll your eyes and call it hyperbole or whatever, but this is how a very large number of Americans feel about the events of January 6th, 2020.
And Peen as for why we don't acknowledge police for doing the job right but only point out when they are wrong. Let me see, should I thank a cop for doing his job because I call out cops who murder people… hmm. Somebody has his ridiculous britches on today.

While the two different situations (Portland and other riots and Jan6) do have some differences, I do agree with you on your broader point. Rioting is illegal, and should be punished as stated per the law. Many (but not enough) of the rioters were arrested. In that situation, they're not going to get everyone (pretty much literally herding cats). Where Jan6 is different (IMO) is that every single person that entered the Capitol building was a rioter (or a participant in a coup... simply by them entering the building and how they entered) and was in breach of however many laws. Many in the area of the riots were peaceful protesters who's event was tainted by bad actors. I do have sympathy for those people, because I do believe their intentions were good and the thing they kicked off went sideways on them due to others. In short, I agree that both events should be looked at the same, but for me Jan6 is a little more cut-and-dry while the protest/riots are a little more complex when it comes to the repercussions.

I’m sorry, Eve, but First Amendment might be one of the dumbest arguments you could use there. It’s been said over and over repeatedly with this analogy: you can’t tell “Fire!” in a movie theater and claim First Amendment. It is well established precedent that something like a First Amendment assertion in this circumstance is waaaaaay out of bounds and irrelevant.
