Tomorrow is the big day, Super Mario Galaxy is coming out for the Wii. This game promises to be the biggest wii game this year.
Anyone else picking it up on the first day? I won't be able to pick it up till after my last class ends at 4:45, man tomorrow is going to be a looong day.

No love for SMG?? Hope its because wii owners are to busy playing it.

I'm considering buying a Wii, and this game could make me buy the console, depending on how good it is. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the reviews.

When I was in Gamestop today they had some on the shelf, if you head up to a store tomorrow (defiantly before black Friday) you should be able to pick one up.
I give the game a 10/10. Its a very fun and addictive game. The levels are fun and challenging (they start off easy but the difficulty increases but not ridiculously) The graphics are one of the best for the wii. I read an article where it says SMG is the highest rated game of the new generation consoles. Check out gamestop.com and ign.com for critic reviews.

well I'm hoping to get medal of honor 2 and it comes out tomorrow... so when I'm out looking for taht I'll keep an eye out for Mario

Let us know how MOHH2 is (make sure you pick up Heroes 2, not the other one, just look at the price sticker because the older one is like 30 or so bucks and the newer one, Heroes 2, is $50). I might pick up this game after I get through the games I've yet to beat (Metroid Prime 3, Simpsons Game (should have that one beat in one more sitting) and of course SMG).

Couldn't find it anywhere today... will keep looking this week. Hopefully places just haven't gotten it yet. I did pick up Galaxy though. Plan on playing it later tonight.

I wish I had it in my Wii right now  But if I bought it I'd never get my final papers done or study for my finals sooo I'm waiting til next Tuesday.

Didn't want to start another wii thread but had a question - what's the best wii 'party' game... game that you can play with a friend or 4  I have Mario Olympics which is great! I played with a couple friends tonight and we had a blast. What other games are good for multiplayer?

I'm not much into party games but I believe DawgMichelle is. I have been told Mario Party 8 (?) is a good game.

For me, it's WarioWare and the old standby, Wii Sports.
Looking forward to getting SMG. First I want to play through Super Paper Mario, which I also think is awesome.

I've also heard good things about Wario Ware but haven't played it so I wouldn't know.

I'm kind of glad to hear that - my complaint with some of the more recent Mario games has been how easy it is to beat them.

Is Galaxy a Mario Sunshine type of game where there's a storyline and missions or is it something completly different?

Its like sunshine but a better story line and more fun levels. I got board with sunshine pretty quick. I just rescued Peach from Bowser, last fight could have been made harder but the Bowser fights in this game are the best in any Mario game. Now its time to completely beat the game and get the last 59 stars.

I've got like 5 or 6 games on my wish list... but my mom bought me one or two for chirstmas and won't tell what she bought  So I have to wait until after Christmas to buy anything new.

I'm liking galaxy quite a bit. I only have about 10-11 stars but some of the levels have been challenging and the game in general seems to have a fun/unique feel to it.

I played this over at a friends house the other night and it hooked me I'll be getting a Wii before a PS3 for sure! I've never felt like i had more control over a character than i did when I played SMG with the Wii controller ...

SMG is actually a pretty "involved" game...a lot of stuff to do.  Still have to try it out in two player mode.
