Let me throw a downer in here...
I had a similar thing. My lifelong best friend (born as next door neighbors), had a g-friend that was a satelite. Around all the time and even did the crying / guilt-trip thing on him if we were to attempt anything without her. We basically did nothing like we had in the past again and it was so annoying I wanted to scream.
He ended up being killed in an car accident.
I would trade anything in the world to be annoyed and frustrated again.
I guess what I'm saying is I know where you're coming from, but at some point, accept it. It could be worse. Life is a series of adjustments. Sometimes its a tweak; sometimes its an overhaul.
