I believe Olivier Vernon is in play.
He has had a year to recover from the knee injury. I am sure the Browns will work him out.
If he is sound. Sure sign him. At worse he is excellent veteran depth.

The Jaguars are drunk. We should now offer them a sixth for Laviska Shenault.

I'm on my phone... Do they have normal, high or low number of draft picks this year?

I was a fan when he came out of college. I think he's under performed. He sort of fits the Berry mold and he'd look good as a slot guy for the Browns.

Any other big FAs or trades the Browns are eyeing?

Any other big FAs or trades the Browns are eyeing? no money to do so...we've wasted quite a bit. Hoping they can restructure Cooper. I'd love to see Wagner here for a 2 year deal

The issue with restructuring Cooper is that as of now, there's no guaranteed money and the Browns can get out without any dead cap at any time. Asking Cooper to restructure would move that money to other years usually in a bonus and guaranteed. I'm not sure if the restructure is a good move for this year where it might have a more team advantage next year.
I like the idea of trading for Shenault. He's still on his rookie deal costing a little over 2M in 2022 and 2.4M in 2023. Averaging over 60 catches and over 600 yards his first two years shows promise. At 6'2" and 220 lbs - he presents a big target for Mayfield. With his size, quickness, route-running, and run-after-the-catch skills, Shenault is pretty polished wideout who he runs good routes, tracks the ball well, has good body control, is a hands catcher, and has strong hands to make contested catches. He has the versatility to be a Shenault is pretty polished wideout who he runs good routes, tracks the ball well, has good body control, is a hands catcher, and has strong hands to make contested catches. He has the versatility to be a possession wideout or challenge teams along the deep sideline. At this cost, Shenault could be a steal and exactly the type of player the Browns are looking for at WR without the heavy investment.

Congrats Austin. Many posters around here labeled you a bust after one season in Cleveland. Yet you have started 39 out of 40 games for the SuperBowl Champion Rams. Now you sign a three year 30 Million contract with Carolina. https://c.tenor.com/1fOrNiMFIl0AAAAM/good-morning.gif

Shenault would be a good guy to target. He’s got the physical tools from what I’ve seen. Maybe JAX would want to get rid of him given their new influx of players.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I wonder if we start looking at Jamison Crowder now (Who was one of the top slot WRs with the Redskins, kind of been injured and hampered with the Jets) He will be a lot more affordable than those contracts placed yesterday. Other cheap option I can see is Jakeem Grant, as he doubles as a returner (though not the proven WR Crowder is)

I hope we def. pursue Hekker, as we have a big void at punter, unless we are looking at that come draft time.

How many other people would call a punter "a freak athlete"...? lol
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

LB/DT are still our biggest holes. Id love to see Jack or Wagner here I'm of the opinion that LB is a position group the Browns' FO have far down the pecking order relative to other position groups, and thus, may not assign that many resources to it. The biggest move so far has been drafting JOK because he fell so far and the value was there. Probably because other teams might have the same approach with the LB group. Who knows? Myles Jack might be someone a team can get on the cheap. I feel like the past few years have been really bad for him, but I could be wrong.

Damn Myles Jack just got cut....I wish we had cap room, because he's a stud...sad they couldnt even get anything trade wise for him. Myles Jack had a PFF grade of 37.7. Mack Wilson's was 75.3. Myles Jack had some sweet highlights a ways back. I don't think the hype matches the current substance, though.

I'd be lying if I said I watched a full Jaguars game last year, didn't realize that Jack performed so badly, I recall them flipping his position...not sure if that lead to his struggles or not.

I remember Jack having major concerns about his knee coming out of college. Yeah I remember him dropping some because of it, could be a degenerative condition...and maybe his play has dipped from it. I'm not at all certain.
