There\'s a pretty good chance that by the end of this contract, $46M a year will be a bargain for a top 5 quarterback. I hope he lives up to that. What can we get for Baker now? You know - Ken Griffey Jr is the 6th highest player on the Cincinnati Reds TODAY. That's a bargain for a hall of famer - right?

Bleacher Report is saying it's a guaranteed 5 year contract worth $230 Million. Texans get 5 draft picks including 3 first rounders. Holy smokes... That's a hell of a lot to pay for a guy that still has some legal issues hanging over his head... (not criminal but still, things that could get him suspended if the league decides to do so) This I think is too expensive...... We "should" get a pick for Baker
Salary cap will be going up after the tv deal
At this point in time we have:
A top QB Watson
Top RB Chubb
a possible #1 WR in Cooper
a very athletic, TE in Njoku
A great offensive line
DEFENSE
a top DE Garrett
a very promising LB JOK
a top DB in Ward
a very promising DB in Newsome
a former top S in JJIII (hopefully he plays to his potential in year two)
Be excited for this team, that is a lot of great pieces in high priority positions

I think I will take some time to re-evaluate my fandom. I love these browns, but I can't root for him unless some real details proving his innocence comes to light. I could still root for the browns while no liking him, or go to another team. Maybe I'll wait to see if we finally win the first game with this "top 5 qb"... If he loses the first game, it's no upgrade at all. I'm so not happy about his. Never expected it, and not sure how to process it. fml

The day isn't done - with the Clowney offer combined with Watson's deal and the 3 players they haven't signed but agreed to terms with - that works out to about 65M - 75M with only 16M available. Some massive restructures and/or players moved will have to happen soon.

Well trading Baker and cutting Keenum will create about 25 M.
They will restructure: Teller, Bitonio, Garrett, etc. to get to where they need to be.
