So, what did ya get for Christmas this year? What was the present you got someone special that you loved buying?
Me, the wife got me: Sirius Sat Radio for the car An electronic organizer for school A new OSU flag, hoodie, a few OSU shirts A Browns calander My wife got me this little steering wheel engraved with "Lee's Si" on it, I thought that was cute.
The crazy mother-in-law actually got me this really neat car emergency kit and a coffee cup you plug into your cig lighter to keep my coffee warm. Of course she also got me a stocking hanger for some reason But it's a world better than the CPOR mask she got me last year
We bought the kid a V-Smile video game system so she will leave my X-Box alone. We put a TV in her room and she got so excited to go play with it she left all her other presents and had no clue what it even was, lol. She was really happy with the wrapping paper vs the actual contents. OMG, the wife got the new baby this onesie that says "Daddy drinks because I cry" LOL! Buying the wife a bigger diamond was the gift I loved giving her. It enabled me to go to AZ as well, hehe, but she loves it so much and that makes me

Had Christmas with Julie's family last week....lost of good stuff. Probably my very favorite is the HUGE Browns ring I got....love it. Maybe the TV for video games.
Having Christmas with my family this afternoon. Then the stromboli dinner at my Aunt and Uncles with all the cousins and their wives. Fun times.
I didn't really find a gift that I absolutely loved for anyone this year. I was pretty sick when I was trying to shop, so it was half-hearted. I suppose the best so far is the Wii...that was our gift to each other. Just downloaded Super Mario Bros. this morning....funny how those old games are still cool.

Ah crap, thought the baby came. I didn't see you on in a while and congratulated you in another thread! Oh well.
Let's see.....got all kinds of stuff.
Got a 5L Beer Keg Dispenser, DVD rack, lots of clothes, another Sixaxis controller for my PS3, NBA 2K7, gift cards, Browns Checkers, a portable grill and cooler for tailgating and lots of other stuff. I gotta exchange gifts with my dad later on this evening still.

New digital camera that takes both pictures and movies. Just have to get a memory card. Right now I'm using internel memory which is not much.
Browns t-shirt and the book "Browns Essential: Everything You Need to Know to Be a Real Fan!".
Gift cards and checks. My oldest sister is still waiting for my present to come in the mail. She won't tell me what it is but I got the feeling its one of two things, browns mug or (more likly) Notre Dame jersey.
My little brother got a surprise last night, he thought he got all his presents from me and my sisters but we used an excuse to get him in the basement to get the cats who like to stay down there and there he found a new mountain bike for him.

Yeah I like the older video games better than the new ones sometimes. I have a few emulators and a bunch of games on here too.
Sorry you felt like crap when you went shopping. Thats the worst having to deal with mad people shopping and you feel like crap.

One of the things that made me want a Wii is being able to download the older games. Graphics may not be a great but the original super mario (s) are very addictive.

and a # 3 First round draft pick (remains to be seen whether I like what Opie gets me) Saint..........in all honesty, people complain we can't catch a break but this could be the year that starts to turn things around. with 4 games to play it looked like we had absolutely ZERO chance to land Joe Thomas. We had 4 victories, played Pittsburgh extremely tough and knocked off KC (a team fighting for the playoffs). DQ goes down, Roye goes down, Andra goes down and our run defense becomes that much worse. Then Charlie goes down, DA plays well in losses but is then injured in the Tampa game. Now we face a Houston team with Ron Dayne to close the season (who will by the way, run all over us) and we're starting Ken Dorsey at QB. In terms of securing a top 3 pick and a chance at Thomas, Branch or a very nice trade down, could it get any better? After digesting all of that, someone try and tell me we didn't get "lucky" heading in to 2007. We have a chance to land a franchise LT or a franchise DT/DE or possibly trade down and pick up an extra 1st or 2nd round pick. Now I know that's a lot of spin on a terrible stretch to end the season but if it lands us Joe Thomas or Alan Branch it will be well worth it. Merry Christmas Browns fans, we just landed ourselves a monster 2007 draft. Oh and if we draft anyone other then Thomas, Branch or on a lesser note Peterson, I'm probably going to have an aneurysm. Also, any way Detroit pulls a Houston move and passes on Quinn? For some reason I get the feeling Detroit is going to screw us and take Joe Thomas #1 overall. Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone! Here's to a much better 2007.

Merry Christmas nas,....!! I'm also fearful of this going wrong for us, as stated above. It would put us in a position where we might have to take Quinn. I do not want to do that.
On thread,....I haven't received anything yet (that I can report on the board,...) The son is inbound with his girlfriend and we will be opening gifts soon. Take care everyone, and God bless.

Nice response NAS..
I could make a lot of responses to your post but I'll limit it to several things. I am agreed that the 07 FA period and the draft may very well be the turning point. We are certainly positioned very well (so far - go Texans) and I like the 33.8 mill under cap.. I've been upbeat before and had my hopes dashed, but God has to like us sometime..
Thomas and Branch are my targets so far, we'll see what the Bowl games and final evaluations / combines etc.. look like.
If we get a Manuwai / Steinbach in FA along with a good CB then Branch in the first and Ramirez ( 6 - 3 340 Guard) in the 2nd, I'll be a happy guy.

I'll have to post a picture of it........My wife MADE me a poster - about 3x2 - she got pictures of some of the "better" browns players from a guy she works with. (he used to go to training camps years ago). Bernie, Ozzie, Clay, Hanford, Minnefield, and some others. Pretty darn cool, if you ask me.
Framed, and the background is like the helmets - orange on the outside, then 2 brown stripes, and white down the middle.....it's pretty cool. Already hanging up in my office, along with all my other stuff.
Oh, and a Clay Matthews jersey. I had told her months ago I was tired of spending money on jerseys of guys that brought very little to the table so to speak. I wanted a "tried and true" jersey - one that you don't need to feel like you need to explain to people why you have it (like my warren jersey, my couch jersey, my willy green jersey......)

I didn't get any Browns stuff this year. It ruined Christmas.
Got some clothes, Stephen King's latest book, liquor store gift certificates, other stuff.
I bought the wife a whack of clothes, a new watch and a Peter Frampton Greatest Hits CD which for some reason she loved more than anything else she got.

I will get my Clay Matthews next year hopefully.

My weekends have been taken care of! I got a bowling ball, gift cards to bowl games with, for my b-day I got shoes, and for afterwards I have a good amount of Quiznoes gift cards, which is where me and my crew go after we bowl on Fridays. My Oma got me some great Buckeye gear, it really was awesome. We cut down on our spending but it's just great. I love it!

I was hoping you'd say that you got a baby for Christmas, Lee!
Highlites - I got a beautiful panoramic poster of Cleveland. It's done with a red tint to it. Looks awesome. The new Cranium game - Pop 5 - (dork much?) and the American Eagle cologne. Been sprayin' that on every couple of hours because I love the smell so much.
Browns stuff - Browns lounge chair, blanket, pillow, and what I wanted the most, a Joe Jurevicius jersey (yes! )
I never know what to get my family, so I feel bad when I give them their gifts. I got my mom what she told me to as well as some flavored coffee, so I hope she's happy. I got my brother a Cavs hoodie and a turkey baster because he wouldn't stop complaining about the one he had on Thanksgiving

I got a thermal bath spa that is the greatest! I just used it for 10 minutes and I feel like I just got a full body massage! Ahhhhhhhhhh amoung other things, seasons 1 and 2 of Grays Anatomy, a radio/docking station that mounts under my kitchen cabinets, 2 chinesse statues, a kellerman book, and the typical clothes, jewelry, candy, lotion, candles, and various household and kitchen items that I crazily go nuts over. Also a month ago I got a new cell phone. I love it and want to keep it forever!

Lots of OSU stuff....hoodie, t-shirt, scarf, bear, calendar (and that was from my hubby's best friend...good guy, huh?)
My Dad was a smartass and got me an Antonio Gates jersey. But he also gave a good check (will almost pay for the plumber for the bathroom that we're STILL working on) and a Target gift card.
My usual undies from Mom, a pretty shirt that I wore today, 2 TableMates, a Spin Spa, some adorable pics of my nephew and a gorgeous necklace from the hubby!

And to answer the second part of you question... I got finboy the new braun 360 shaver. He's been dying for it but he spent all his money on me. So I thought it would be nice to surprise him with it.

I asked for cash from everyone which I then used to purchase a Canon Digital Rebel XTI Digital SLR camera (10.1 mp). I'm still waiting for a few gifts to come in the mail from family up north.

I think my favorite gift was a homespun cd from Iambrown...and it's not just another Christmas cd, either - it's an ultra-groovy mix of music that spans the whole spectrum of coolness! I also got lots of books this year that I can't wait to read!
My favorite gift to give was the one for my Dad. I went to the local feed mill and stocked him up on all kinds of animal feed for the birds and critters in his backyard, because he likes to make sure they're fed. I guess it sounds a little goofy, but he's very difficult to buy for as he'll never say what he wants or needs every year, except "peace of mind"! So I decided to go the practical route this year, and he seemed really happy about the surprise!

Sounds like Pops gets his peace of mind by tending his feeders and watching the critters, so it sounds to me like you gave him exactly what he wants.
Good job!

My grandparents just re-did their condo. They pretty much bought themselves everything that they ever wanted. It was hard picking something out for them. They also have a lot of picture frames in their one room where their brand new HD widescreen TV is from when they were kids up until now. So we decided the best thing for them is a digital picture frame with a 512 mb SD card in it. We loaded it with pics that I have been scanning all week. Some of the pics we got when an uncle passed away of them as kids that they didn't even know existed. We spanned all the way up until my high school graduation. They absolutely loved it. They sat there for 2 hours looking at the pics and best of all, even though we put 150 pics on there, we only used up 25% of the card so he can't wait until he fills it up more.
Also, as a joke, we got my grandfather a new grill utensil set. He was a home builder so we found the perfect set at Sears. They were made by Craftsman and even had the tool handles. Whenever he goes outside to grill, he always says "You got my tools?" So now, he literally has "tools"
