What even further created confusion is the claim was that 8 of them voted against it but the total vote count was 26-4. WTH? How can you have only had 4 votes against it and then claim 8 people voted against it?

How can you have only had 4 votes against it and then claim 8 people voted against it? The executive committee (or whatever their name is) has eight people. They are the players most closely involved with the negotiations. They all voted against the leagues proposal. Their vote is basically a recommendation for what the entire player pool should do. The vote then goes to the entire player pool. They vote based on the their teams. There are 30 teams. 26 teams voted to approve the owners proposal, 4 against.

The National League has now lost its big advantage over the AL by accepting the DL. There is now no strategy involved in the game. The biggest decisions are to take a pitcher out of the game, either when he is on the mound, or going to the plate.
Baseball has lost me.
