Some things you just don't say. That doesn't mean it's the end of the world but you just don't say them.

Now as we can see we have people arguing it's fine that he said it. And it seems if you call out a president for saying something dumb you get the same reaction you did from 2016-2020. "You're unAmerican!" That's just stupid. You just get it from different people.

Anyone in the military that reached any high rank knows you don't tip your hand to the enemy. They also know you don't hand feed them propaganda to use against you and throw back in your face. All the rest of the comments in this thread are nothing more than bluster and machismo.

I am happy that Biden isn't saying stupid, divisive and hateful things several times a day to the point you can't keep up with them all. But he's not exempt from saying the wrong thing sometimes and I won't make excuses for it because of the party he belongs to.

Did you miss the part where they started shelling only AFTER they realized they couldn’t just waltz into Ukraine like they thought they would?

Did you miss the part where Russian soldiers are going AWOL and sabotaging their own equipment?

Did you miss the part where there was a United effort by NATO with harsh sanctions and military aid?

Did you miss the part where Russia got damn near universal condemnation from the UN, ya know, the MAJORITY of countries around the world?

Russia is getting embarrassed, and yet here you are basically arguing to play prevent defense in the 1st quarter. That’s such a losers mentality.

And please don’t say rolling over to dictators is stupid when you’ve been advocating for exactly that. You don’t want to help the Ukrainians, you rather Russia just roll through and be on NATO borders anyway, and you STILL show little to no respect for our allies abilities.

You’re a backseat driver trying to dictate the route and hog the audio cord. The way you talk about this, you couldn’t be relied on in a street fight, never mind defending civilians.

You keep believing that countries are gonna prop up Russia when there’s already MULTIPLE countries helping out Ukraine. We’re already involved, and yet none of Putin’s allies have stepped up to the plate.

But any day now, you’ll be right. Someday. Hopefully. Probably. Who knows.

Hey man, I agree with nearly everything, but you might want to back off the medical thing.

You don't want to look like Will Smith. It's a bad look.

Looking like Will Smith would probably be an upgrade (physically) for most of us. Or maybe I'm just speaking for myself?

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

You can disagree, but you would just be wrong.
And Russia was not completely unprovoked, this conflict between the two countries has been going on back and forth for years. We didn't care 6 years ago because we were not programmed to care. Now, we are being programmed to care.

Nah bro. It was unprovoked. If you really gonna buy into the pro-kremlin narrative, fine. Just don’t be surprised when you get clowned for it.

It never creases to amaze me how people think they can justify assault based on words used by others. That's called assault, it's a crime. There is no legal justification for it. And when you make the decision to do that, don't be surprised if you get shot. Because any time you assault someone they can easily make the case for self defense and that they had the right to shoot you.

Did he get shot? Is Chris rock pressing charges?

Oh, the answer is no to both? Okie dokie.

Guess what Pit. It doesn’t matter how you feel about it. It doesn’t matter if you think it’s wrong, or a crime. You can think whatever…

But at the end of the day, guess what Pit isn’t gonna do? Joke about jada smiths medical condition in front of will smith. Because right or wrong, you now know what will happen to you if you did.

So you can go ahead and file charges. I’m sure will smith will do his time in prison proudly while you’re sitting in the hospital bed with a broken jaw.

So right or wrong, guess what Chris rock won’t be doing anymore.

I've said it before, I'll say it again... we should be in no rush to jump into this mess. Ukraine is not a NATO member. We are not the world police nor are our soldiers. Once we are in the middle of it, we can't take a step back out.

It was definitely not unprovoked. This conflict goes back 8 years and it is hard to say who would be considered the provocateur, but it didn't just start in 2022.
Either way, it is what it is and we have to make the best of the situation as it is now and further escalation is only going to work out worse for Ukraine. Should have never got to this point, but that doesn't matter now.

First, if we’re gonna do this back and forth, please just use the quote brackets. I’m on the phone and trying to piece the responses together is already a massive pain. Thanks. I like engaging in this because I haven’t got this passionate over combat since I got out the army. Even wifey said my demeanor changed when this crap kicked off. Probably not a good thing, but oh well.

Anyways,

https://www.newsweek.com/ukraine-mysterious-electroic-system-russia-invasion-1690997

As a result, Russian troops have been systemically abandoning their vehicles and equipment – more than 800 of their confirmed vehicle losses had been either abandoned and subsequently destroyed, or abandoned and then captured by Ukrainian troops. The latest intelligence updates from the US suggest that frostbite is taking a toll on troops around Mykolaiv and in the northern areas near Kyiv and Kharkiv due to a lack of suitable cold-weather clothing. Perhaps most importantly of all, the Russian army has lost at least 550 supply trucks in continual Ukrainian attacks on its supply lines.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022...s-back-on-urban-siege-warfare-in-ukraine

https://www.news.com.au/technology/...s-story/ebb3f10e050203477513a1c473165b70

You know how bad it’s got to be that Ukraine has more tanks than what they started with? It’s not propaganda whatsoever. Plenty of evidence from confirmed sources to videos showing Ukrainian soldiers and civilians finding abandoned crap. And plenty of Russian troops straight up surrendering.

You mentioned 5 countries out of how many that voted? Now, I might not be that good at math, but NATO by itself has 30 countries, with Finland and Sweden wanting to join. That doesn’t include all the other countries. So maybe I can’t add bro but help me out.

Also, the countries you named…..haven’t assisted Russia in the invasion. And you still haven’t provided any evidence as to why they would given what’s currently Happening to Russia. Russia is taking losses like that because off poor strategy and even worse equipment. Have you not been paying attention SBD? That crap looks ancient. The soldiers are poorly equipped, and the Russian military can’t even maintain a decent supply line. It’s pathetic.

And your next point is what has me shaking my head. You really think Russia is gonna stop at Ukraine? Do you not understand that Putin wants the old iron curtain back, and if we allow that to happen, that’s a green light for him to continue on, and THATS when it becomes highly probable that his allies decide to jump in.

Enlighten yourself; we are ALREADY in it. Not only the US, but our NATO members. It’s a big reason as to why Ukraine has been able to resist as well as they have. Russia already knows we’re in it, and Europe does as well. You keep talking as if we haven’t been engaged from the jump. I don’t know how to get you to keep up with what’s going on, but you need to figure it out.

I don't have to "think about" whether that was assault or not.

I'm not a professional comedian or I very well might. And I'm not half the size of Will smith like Chris Rock is or my reaction might be to put a slug in him.

Yeah, well I have ways of making sure that wouldn't happen.

If I were Chris Rock I would be doing it more.

You seem to think that people can just walk up and knock the hell out of anyone because they said something offensive. That's not the way it works. People carry guns and when someone is twice their size, they'll use them. I bet Will Smith wouldn't react that way if someone said something like that on the street either. And just watch, now that he did it on stage, people will be provoking him to do it on the street. But he knows he wouldn't get away with it so easy on the street. Some people won't be half his size and he knows he might get his brains blown out. But when they guy is half your size and you know he's not packing, you know you can get away with it. It looked like a punk move to me. Chris Rock "chose" not to press charges.

I think Putin made things worse when he sent troops into Ukraine after massing troops for "military exercises."

I think Putin also made things worse when he called the Ukraines Nazis.

It did not help his case the Zelinsky is Jewish and lost family in the holocaust.

No need to play nice with him.

Word order. Atleast he didn’t say lieutenant corporal like FATE’s girl.

Realistically, we are not going to see the eye to eye.

You want to be the first one through the brick wall to go kick butt and take names regardless of the consequences.

I want to wait and see what flushes out before deciding on what we should do. We don't know exactly how things are going to play out just yet.

Pentagon sends six US Navy EA-18G Growler aircraft for 'electronic warfare missions' with jamming software - but insist they won't be used in Ukraine's fightback against Putin

The Pentagon says it is sending six U.S. Navy EA-18G Growlers to Germany
The aircraft carry electronic warfare systems designed to jam enemy radar
They are due to arrive at Spangdahlem Air Base later on Monday
Some 240 personnel will deploy with them, said spokesman John Kirby
It comes after Ukraine has pleaded for weeks in help setting up a no-fly zone
'They are not being deployed ... against Russian forces in Ukraine,' said Kirby

By ROB CRILLY, SENIOR U.S. POLITICAL REPORTER FOR DAILYMAIL.COM

PUBLISHED: 12:37 EDT, 28 March 2022 | UPDATED: 13:44 EDT, 28 March 2022
link

The Pentagon announced on Monday that six naval aircraft, equipped for electronic warfare, were on their way to Germany to bolster N.A.T.O.'s eastern flank as Russia continues its war in Ukraine.

But the six EA-18G 'Growlers' will not be used against Russian forces, said a spokesman.

Washington has made clear that it will not send planes or personnel into direct combat against Russia.

The six aircraft are due to arrive at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, from Whidbey Island, Washington, later on Monday, according to Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.

'These Growlers ... are equipped for a variety of missions, but they do specialize in flying electronic warfare missions, using a suite of jamming sensors to confuse enemy radars, greatly aiding in the ability to conduct suppression of enemy air defence operations, he told reporters.

They will be accompanied by 240 personnel, including air crew and technicians, he added.

Boeing advertises its Growler as the world's most advanced airborne electronic attack.

Its twin engines give it a maximum cruising speed of more than 1000 knots.

But it is its ability to knock out enemy communications with its tactical jamming capability that makes it so valuable.

Its nine weapons stations can carry 'jamming pods' - filled with electronic weapons - or missiles, such as the AGM-88 HARM missiles designed to home in on electronic transmissions coming from surface-to-air radar systems.

That allows them to protect U.S. or allied attack jets evade enemy radar and surface-to-air missiles.

The Ukrainian government of Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly appealed for foreign warplanes to set up a no-fly zone over his country.

But Kirby said that was not the role of the Growlers.

'They are not being deployed to be used against Russian forces in Ukraine,' he said.

'They are being deployed completely in keeping with our efforts to bolster N.A.T.O's deterrence and defence capabilities along that Eastern flank.

'They are not being sent because of some sort of acute threat that was perceived or some specific incident that happened.'

The U.S. and partners have been flooding Ukraine with weapons to help resistance fighters repel the Russian invasion.

Javelin anti-tank weapons have been particularly effective in halting Russian tanks and keeping Moscow's advance from reaching the capital Kyiv.

Stingers and other anti-aircraft systems are also credited with helping Russia gain air superiority over the country.

On Monday, Vladimir Putin's faltering invasion suffered further setbacks after battling Ukrainian troops recaptured the war-ravaged town of Irpin on the outskirts of Kyiv.

The mayor said forces had seized back full control of the town which had become one of the main hotspots of fighting after Kremlin soldiers hoped to march on to the capital.

Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn said: 'We have good news today - Irpin has been liberated. We understand that there will be more attacks on our town and we will defend it courageously.'

Markushyn vowed that the army will now liberate Bucha, Hostomel and Vorzel to further enrage Putin as his force's death toll rises to 17,000 without seizing any new territories.

The UK's Ministry of Defence said earlier there had been 'no significant change to Russian forces' dispositions in the country' and Russia is still yet to capture any major city after a month of fighting.

And the United States assesses that Ukrainian forces have retaken the town of Trostyanets, south of Sumy, from Russian forces, a senior U.S. defense official said on Monday.

'The Ukrainians are continuing to try to take back ground,' the official told reporters, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Whoops. yeah, I messed that up - total brain fart.

CSM is the top enlisted rank in the Army except for SMA, sgt. major of the Army of which there is usually only 1 at a time.

CSM...Command Sgt Major. Who they report to depends on the CO, but generally no lower than a major, usually a Colonel.
