Just clicking... How old are you browniepoints?
I am just venting randomly here about my girlfriend. I swear she goes into RANDOM DEPRESSION MODE at least once a day. I really don't get it and I really don't do anything to make her upset. She just gets upset and then I have to console her until her RDM outbreak is over.
Run like hell dude, now!

If she shoots you down, big deal...you will be rejected dozens of times in your lifetime, might as well get used to it now. Good luck!
Dozens? I get rejected several times a day by my wife.
Actually funny story, I ran to BJ's wholesale club the other day to pick up some stuff. And as I was walking to the items I needed I saw a flower stand which had some nice bouquets.
Just out of the love in my heart I decided to buy a bouquet for her, since she loves having live flowers in the house. I get home and place them on the counter while I get the other stuff, and she immediately looks at me and says "What did you do wrong?"
BP, Just try to spend a little time with her, then when your comfortable, just ask. Better to know she's not interested than to walk around wondering if it could be.

I laughed my butt off when I read it. Absolutely hilarious.
Best advice though, just ask. Wayne Gretzky(I think I spelled that right, but I'm too lazy to check) once said, "100% of the shots you don't take, don't go in."

Nah, bi-polar doesn't work like that for most people.
It's normally drastic swings that last for longer periods of time.

BrowniePoints:
Please disregard my last post... just havin' some "Old-Timer's" fun on a Tailgate Lot thread.
Lissen, kid- the best way to get next to this girl is to GET NEXT TO THIS GIRL!
One of the worst ways to try to make a Love Connex is to do it the formal way... asking her out on a date (whether face-to-face or over the phone). The formality of the situation takes BOTH OF YOU out of the comfort zone.
You'll be all nervous, cuz you have The Master Plan, and know the stakes. She'll get all nervous, because she'll feed off your energy, and know that something's up.
Here's something to consider: Don't bother pressurizing yourself by saying you need to ask her out now.
If she's in your social circle, you've almost got it made already. There are numerous occasions when you and she are going to be together with a bunch of your mutual friends. Groups are good. Use the opportunities.
In a group, you can get close to her, without the formality of an actual "date," and spend time talking and interacting with her naturally- in a non-threatening environment. She'll probably start to get the idea that you dig her just from the way she sees you when you talk to her... and you don't have to do anything but be yourself for her to get those vibes. (Believe me- if your krew is tight, EVERYBODY will probably pick up on it sooner or later.... hehe) As you two get closer, you'll both know when you don't need (or want) the "extras" around. That's when you can "pair off" -and and start giving the rest of your krew something to talk about... (hehe)
The best thing about this approach is: while you're talking to each other in your group, you're actually getting to know each other. And you're doing it honestly, with no pressure.
Who knows? If you do it this way, you (and/or maybe she) might find out that pursuing a romantic relationship isn't the right fit... and avoid a lot of the usual dating heartache. By the same token, you may both determine that the chemistry's good, and worth exploring deeper. The best part is that you get to do it while you're both being real ... and that's the only way it has ever worked throughout time... for anyone.
BP- I spent almost 15 years 'in the field,' and never once made "the call" or asked "the question." It always just happened naturally. I had my share of 'long-timers' and "short-termers". Best of all... I've been happily hooked up for 27 years (24 of them married) with the best one I ever found, and I can't remember ever leaving a romantic relationship on really bad terms.
I truly believe it's because we were always friends before we became lovers.
My advice- take your time. Get to really know her, then decide if you want to take it to that next level. As cute as she may be, you may determine that she'd be a better friend than lover.
...and if not- go on, with yo' bad self.... and many happy returns!
