Two biggest stories this year are Tiger and the weather.
Amazingly, it appears that Tiger is going to play. He thinks he can still win. There is a huge buzz around the possibility of him playing. He's good for golf and I am rooting for him.
The weather story is related to the Tiger story. I live about an hour away from Augusta and our weather is almost identical. There is a huge storm coming today w/high winds and possible tornadoes. The temperature is going to be in the mid 70s today, about 80 on Wednesday and low 70s on Thursday. There is rain in the forecast for both today and Wednesday. The real concern comes on Friday when the high is in the low 60s and strong winds. Saturday the high is only 58. Warming up again on Sunday again, but Tiger's physical issues will be negatively compromised by the falling temperatures, rain, and wind.
I took Tiger to finish in the top 5 at +650 and to win at +3300. Couldn't resist the value.
Looking forward to Jim Nantz and a tradition unlike any other. I've applied for the tickets to the Master via their lottery system each year for the past 5-6 years and have not been selected. I weep! Going to have to cave to the secondary market someday.
Golf is like watching paint dry JMO, but, to each his/her own ... enjoy
John 3:16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Tiger will be a oft-betted player of course, but I can’t possibly see him winning (if he makes top 10 that’s impressive)
I think it’s an open field. I always like Rahm, Chauffele, and Johnson
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
I agree w/you. I hope people don't rag on Tiger if he doesn't win or even misses the cut. I think it's amazing that he is even considering playing again. Augusta is very hilly. Tough course to walk. I noticed that he was limping a lot more today than the past two days.

I don't think Tiger knows any other way. He wouldn't play if he didn't think he could win.
Word is that his swing looks great and the strength appears to be good... but he hasn't played competitively in quite a while. I know folks who don't understand think golf isn't very physically demanding but 2 days of practice and 4 competitive rounds at the masters is an extremely hard week on the mind and the body. I'm just not sure he's in that kind of game-shape yet. But if anybody can do it, it's Tiger.
My guess is, he will start fairly strong but fade on the weekend.
By Sunday it could be interesting if the greens dry out but the fairways remain wet and slow since they don't dry out as fast.
At Augusta you need to get roll or it is a very long course. If the players are having to fire at fast dry greens with long irons, the scores could get ugly.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
Looks like the wind will be a factor here today. Tough to gain ground; you have to just stand pat

I thought on the 18th hole for scheffler that I saw charl scwhartzel Mark and pick up his ball that was just off the green and then after Scheffler chipped onto the green replace his ball .Anyone else see this ?
Two stories, Rory McElroy shoots 64 on the final round Sunday, and Scottie Scheffler set up to win the thing and is ranked the #1 golfer in the world in 2022.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
Scottie Scheffler was 10 under an hour ago and 12 under at that look, so he is playing like a golfer that is chasing someone else, not like a golfer that is being chased. A 5 shot lead with 2 holes to go and 2nd placed McElroy already finished.

What kind of bird was that, that was chirping at the masters? According to the internet, there are several different links claiming that the bird sounds were faked by CBS, have been for years, and that CBS has been called out on it, a few years ago.

Scheffler was unstoppable. My 13 year old daughter actually watched the final round with me today (she's not a golfer). While I am happy for Scotty, and I think this is just the start for him, it's so hard to watch the Masters and not appreciate Tiger's dominance at that course and of golf in general from '97-2010ish. -She asked why they made such a big deal about Tiger given his score and I had to go over his stats and career with her. I wonder how long Scotty will hold on to the #1 ranking.

I am going to say it was the Northern Mockingbird. The Northern Mockingbird can mimic many other birds, so even if you told me it was a Cardinal, or a Dickcissel, or even a Fluffy-backed Tit-Babbler, I am saying it was a Mockingbird imitating those birds.
