Sorry about the irrelevancy of my comment... but this is a big part of the reason why I have a hard time following baseball. "Pearl clutching" (perfect description btw) over dumb unwritten rules is ridiculous. On top of that, nobody will do anything about it... just whining at each other.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I can't believe how cheap Dolan is! He could have given Jose twice that much, and would have if he wasn't so cheap! Seriously, this is a good signing! Hopefully Beiber is next.

Happy to see this today. Agree Bieber should be next with a big stick in the OF. Waiting to be excited by the Tribe's new alias; ain't happening yet.

Looks like we are ready to rock. Hope we have some youngsters light it up this year.
Go, Guardians! (Just needed to try it. Go, "Not-the-Tribe"!') Felt better.

Yeah, with Kwan starting today, Zimmer's end was near. Of course, Mark Shapiro takes him.

We are already in mid-season form. Another year or so of long ball for us, Milk?

I think so too. I cant see this offense producing a lot of runs consistently.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

What's the # of major league bats in this line-up? I say 3 or 4, depending on how charitable I feel about Reyes on a given day. I just don't understand how a team could have success developing pitchers and middle infielders, but never be able to develop corner infielders and outfielders (ie, hitters).

Simple, you have to draft those to able to develop them. They almost never use a high draft pick on anything except pitcher and SS.

Like seeing Kwan already moved up to #2 in the lineup. Got Rosario out of the OF, too.

Dolan is so cheap ........ I have to say, that does seem like a really good deal for the team.

Love Steven Kwan, hope they give him time and let him develop. If George Valera continues to develop, Kwan, Straw, and Valera will be a very good OF in the future.

I like it. Any lineup without Yu Chang flailing at sliders well outside the strike zone is good with me. I’m ready for the Yu Chang experience to end. Bobby Bradley can go after him.
This team has 1 run in 19 innings and 3 XB hits. Leave Hedges on the bench and see what guys like Lavastida can do, although I’m sure he’ll be sent back to minors when Maile comes off the D.L..

I like the start to today's game a whole lot better than the 1st 2.
After the top of the 1st, it's Cleveland 6, with the Royals coming to bat.

Kwan keeps hitting/getting on base, Mercado with a grand slam, Guardians 6-0 bottom 1.

Great start for the season for that young man. Crazy that Kwan hasn't even swung and missed at a pitch either in 58 pitches.

I'm fine with that. I think, much like Zimmer, the Chang experiment has run it's course. Bradley might not be too far behind.
