President Joe Biden made Russia’s “blacklist” but former President Donald Trump didn’t.
Russia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry on Saturday released an updated list of nearly 1,000 Americans permanently barred from entering the country, a largely symbolic slap in response to harsh sanctions imposed by Western countries for its brutal invasion of Ukraine in February.
Biden since mid-March had already been banned from visiting Russia, as were Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Army Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
But the updated list now includes Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as Biden’s scandal-plagued son Hunter Biden, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state and first lady.
Billionaire investor George Soros also made the list. Soros’ philanthropic support of liberal causes, and groups in the former Soviet bloc, have made him a boogeyman for both Russia and right-wing conspiracy theorists.
Trump was not on the list of 963 banned Americans. Over the years, Trump has praised Russian President Vladimir Putin and criticized investigations into Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election that ended with Trump’s victory over Democratic rival Clinton.
Trump was impeached in 2019 for withholding congressionally appropriated military aid to Ukraine while pressuring that country’s then-newly elected president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to announce investigations into Joe Biden, who at the time was the leading Democratic candidate for the White House.
Trump was acquitted after a trial in the Senate.
A spokeswoman for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment on his omission from Russia’s travel-ban list.
Former President Barack Obama and Trump’s vice president, Mike Pence, also are not on the list, but Pence’s brother, Rep. Greg Pence, R-Ind., is banned.
So are 211 of Greg Pence’s fellow Republicans in the House of Representatives and Senate — along with 224 Democratic members of both congressional chambers.
The GOP House members on the banned list included two hard-core, Republican Trump supporters, Matt Gaetz of Florida and Arizona’s Paul Gosar.
Also making the list are two Democratic House members whose strongly progressive policy stances are anathema to Trump World: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, and Minnesota’s Rep. Ilhan Omar.
So is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who this week also was banned from receiving communion by the archbishop of the San Francisco Roman Catholic Archdiocese because of her support for abortion rights.

I'd say that is a good thing. It's no secret that President Biden had been, and came in to office talking a lot of tough talk from day 1. He continues the tough talk and allows items to leak that should never be leaked.
I expect a President to be firm, but I also expect one who has some sense of diplomacy in their actions. Here we are playing chicken with nuclear weapons between a guy who is reported to be terminally ill and one who is losing his mental faculties.

Donald Trump Explodes Over Testimony That Officially Confirms Hillary Clinton Was ‘Russia Hoax’ Mastermind May 21, 2022by Kyle Becker
The 45th President Donald Trump was subjected to accusations of treason for over four years and throughout his entire presidency. His administration was undermined by the multi-million dollar, yearslong Mueller investigation, which ultimately failed to corroborate any evidence that he had colluded with the Russians to rig the 2020 election.
It was Hillary all along, new testimony in the Durham-Sussman trial officially confirms, thus bringing to an end the rampant mass media denial that Hillary Clinton was the mastermind behind the Russia hoax that it had worked so fervently to push.
“This is one of the greatest political scandals in history,” Trump told Fox News on Saturday morning. “For three years, I had to fight her off, and fight those crooked people off, and you’ll never get your reputation fully back.”
“Where do I get my reputation back?” Trump asked.
“I had to fight them off,” Trump said. “And if we had real leadership, instead of people like Mitch McConnell, they would do something about it. And guys like Bill Barr. They would have done something about it.”

Former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook was asked at the Durham trial on Friday about the Clinton campaign’s understanding of the Alfa Bank allegations against Trump and whether they planned to leak the information to the media.
Mook testified he was first briefed about the Alfa Bank issue by the Clinton campaign’s general counsel Marc Elias, who was also a partner at law firm Perkins Coie.
The Clinton campaign manager said he floated leaking the unsubstantiated accusations to a reporter. The discussion was reported to have taken place with campaign chairman John Podesta, senior policy advisor Jake Sullivan, and communications director Jennifer Palmieri.
“I discussed it with Hillary as well,” Mook testified.
“I don’t remember the substance of the conversation, but notionally, the discussion was, hey, we have this and we want to share it with a reporter,” Mook said.
Ultimately, Mook said that Hillary Clinton approved of leaking the Russia hoax accusation to the press.
“She agreed,” Mook testified.
When pressed about the details, Mook testified, “All I remember is that she agreed with the decision.”
Independent journalist Glenn Greenwald unloaded a lengthy thread that contextualizes the ramifications of the Durham trial revelation and what it means for Donald Trump and the U.S. media.

I attack the far right all the time because the left is under constant attack from them. Not only do I disagree with the direction they want the country to go, I disagree with almost every action they take. It didn't used to be that way, but that is just how it is now. I'm not going to lay down and be steamrolled. Like I told you, would love to have real talk, real dialogue, and make positive change. But that takes way more than two dudes on a fansite to make happen, if it's even possible during this hyper partisan time or even anymore at all. I'm not 100% positive that 'America on life support' hasn't already had the plug pulled and we just don't know it's dead yet. Maybe our democracy/republic is done for? All I know is for the past 15-25 years, it has felt like the world has gone to hell in a handbasket, and no matter what anybody does, crap just keeps getting worse.

Here's the hilarious part about it all. On this very board several years ago and among the GOP in general, it was those on the right raising hell and saying "We're not going to be PC anymore! We're tired of people acting like you can't say things the way you feel!"
Some of us warned them about how that may turn out. I know myself and at least a few others told them we thought it was nothing more than an excuse to be rude, mean and totally lacking in couth. But they said no it wasn't. They just felt like they should be able to speak their minds and say what they wanted to say and not be told by the left how mean and rude they were for doing it.
So I decided that if that's how they felt, let's make it a two way street. Some of us are just doing what they advocated they wanted. I never really liked the entire PC thing myself. But at one point I tried much harder to hold a civil conversation with people because the content and civility of the debate is much better.
I'm at the point now where I will still try having a civil debate with those wishing to have such a debate. However I will no longer waste my time with those who really don't. They'll get what they usually give.

Well first I think the 2020 election is over and done with and I hope Trump stops talking about it and focuses on what he would to undo the damage done by the current president. I will be fine if it never comes up again. All that said, there is more smoke around this election than a level 2 hurricane wind could blow away.
Election laws were changed illegally so many votes were cast illegally. Unsigned absentee ballots were accepted without scrutiny. Vote collection boxes were out in the community in many cases completely unmonitored. There is some evidence that some people made multiple visits to these ballot boxes in the middle of the night. Just a lot of smoke, might be some fire there too.
But election is over and November will be the first step in righting this ship that is listing badly.
