Soo it's that time again...and I don't mean for the snow! I mean for the HOLIDAYS! We all complain about things in our lives, but we should take time to remember that there are others who suffer more than we do! We should all be thankful for what we have and look at what we have and not at what we don't have! I hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving...and maybe give a little more to someone in need. So instead of fighting with someone...remember that life is too short to get mad about things...have fun while you can! I was inspired to write this while watching Family Guy. And to my little buggie... 3 forever!

Yeah, it reminds me. There was a nurse who had been on leave for just over a year because she's also in the Navy. Was over seas in an Army hospital in Germany taking care of our wounded soldiers in their intensive care unit. She just came back into town last week, and stopped in this afternoon to see us. She showed me pictures that you just wouldn't believe, and the horror stories of wives, mothers, fathers, siblings who came to see their loved one lying there- limbs missing, burnt head to toe, unrecognizable and comatose on a ventilator. They try to prepare the families prior to going into the room, telling them what they will see. She said the screams of horror that she heard from these families was unbearable. Some of the saddest pictures I have ever seen in my life.

So when you all are at work, thinking you're having a bad day, think of what she did for over a year, and what our soldiers have gone through and are going through every day.

Your day could always be much worse. Be grateful for what you have.

Exactly, she was probably their Angel. We, as people, tend to complain about what we don't have, even when we have the greatest things right in front of us! I guess as humans we are all just selfish! So this year, when you hear those Salvation Army bells, give them some extra change...I'm sure we all could spare something.

Nice sentiment.

Here's another sentiment -- my least favorite soda pop is ORANGE CRUSH.

Or maybe that wasn't a sentiment....more like a random factoid.

Are there some dots to connect here?

And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.
