Yeah, it reminds me. There was a nurse who had been on leave for just over a year because she's also in the Navy. Was over seas in an Army hospital in Germany taking care of our wounded soldiers in their intensive care unit. She just came back into town last week, and stopped in this afternoon to see us. She showed me pictures that you just wouldn't believe, and the horror stories of wives, mothers, fathers, siblings who came to see their loved one lying there- limbs missing, burnt head to toe, unrecognizable and comatose on a ventilator. They try to prepare the families prior to going into the room, telling them what they will see. She said the screams of horror that she heard from these families was unbearable. Some of the saddest pictures I have ever seen in my life.

So when you all are at work, thinking you're having a bad day, think of what she did for over a year, and what our soldiers have gone through and are going through every day.
Your day could always be much worse. Be grateful for what you have.
