A team of researchers from the University of Granada (UGR) has found that smoking cannabis drastically alters vision, according to a study published in the journal Scientific Reports. While a shockingly high number of cannabis users claimed to be able to see just fine, the new study has found the drug does the complete opposite by altering key visual functions like visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, the ability to focus, and more. This highlights the need to carry out public awareness campaigns about the visual impacts of cannabis, as the visual deterioration can pose a danger when performing daily tasks such as driving. Your eyes on cannabis One of the most well-known and noticeable effects of smoking marijuana is the red eyes. This happens because THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, the chemical responsible for most of marijuana's psychological effects, lowers blood pressure, dilates the blood vessels, and enhances blood flow throughout the body. This process causes the blood vessels in the eyes to dilate, resulting in redness or bloodshot eyes. However, the impact of marijuana on peripheral vision, changing eye pressure, and visual processing is still not completely understood, and further research is needed in this area. In a bid to do just that, researchers from the University of Georgia's Department of Optics conducted an extensive visual trial on 31 cannabis users, both before and after they had consumed any substance, per a press release. They also investigated the subjects' perceptions of the visual impacts of the drug. It was seen that the subjects' visual features such as visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, three-dimensional vision (stereopsis), the ability to focus, and glare sensitivity significantly worsened following consumption. Despite all that, 65 percent of the participants responded that their vision had worsened only slightly, while 30 percent stated it had not worsened at all. Contrast sensitivity is the visual attribute that the authors believe is most strongly linked to consumers' experience of the visual effect. Altering key functions like three-dimensional vision With the effect of cannabis on some of the parameters being studied for the first time in this study, the researchers discovered that cannabis had a detrimental effect on all of the visual parameters they assessed. Still, it should be noted that the study is based on only 31 volunteers, and a much larger version of the experiment should be conducted to further validate the findings. Another study that investigated the effects of smoking cannabis on vision and driving performance also found that the visual effects of cannabis could impact driving performance, jeopardizing driving safety. Overall, it appears that information and awareness initiatives are critical for reducing the prevalence of cannabis-impaired driving. https://share.newsbreak.com/17ixnjiv

Who cares more than the insurance companies trying to squeeze another penny out of premiums. See there are 10 billion people, so even if it's only 1/4 of one penny, well 1/4 of one penny per person doesn't sound like much but, if an insurance company has 10 billion users, then, even a 25% share of the smallest measurement of money would add up to significant money. ( the love of money is the root of all various kinds of evil) so who cares? who cares and why does this matter? well, if they can (scientifically pffff) half prove pff ) that they have a reason to put into ::: broadcast advertising ::: that, marijuana causes impared vision/ impared driving,
JUST THINK! of what the insurance Megalith, can get granted from the government, (in dollars), to put out their advertising campaign, telling any conscious individual, how much they should care about eyeball vision of pot smokers.
Why, see it's worth it. See they proved it!! they proved it!! with 31 people, now give em the megaladons' share of dollar dollar bills ya'll to go make stupid advertisements, ( I mean it's for the peoples own good, see because the study proved it so) (Anyone who disagrees' must want all innoncents to die in traffic accidents from potheads whose eyes don't move as quickly.) So, I'm guessing nobody, cares more, than the insurance companies. After all, it would = a financial winfall. A financial winfall for the insurance companies. ( In the USA? who'd a thunk it? )
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Wait... Who smokes it anymore. I haven't since maybe 1974? The years before that is a different story. Not that I care if people do. I know that wasn't a question, I just felt like making this a sharing moment.

Right?! I don’t eat it but very rarely. Even then only in very small amounts. I don’t like the way edibles make me feel when taken in ‘normal’ doses of 5-10mg. I prefer smoking flower as I feel I can regulate the dose, the buzz, better. Get a good glass bubbler. Keep it clean. It’ll last a lifetime of cannabis flower use.

5 to 10? More like 20 to 25. My lungs are bad and i can't smoke it anymore. Hell I cough my head off every time I vape. I prefer capsules. Gummies, or tincture.

I'm still rolling big fatties, that will never change. And I roll 'em faster than any man can smoke. Profligate waste on parade, son! Olde Schoole habit, ingrained from decades of repetition. The ritual becomes the religion. Bruh- how could you? All that sweetstank fumar going out into the room... -instead of into you? I mock your lack of frugality/efficiency. One pinch, fingertip ground. One poke. Nothing but exhale. Clean. Repeat later, if desired/necessary. Ruthless efficiency/max effect. Minimalist/boutique to the max. It's all good. I'll do me, You do you... ...with yo' bigazz muthasmokin' ![[Linked Image from m.media-amazon.com]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81wkNRMycFL._SL1425_.jpg) **EDIT** My 'carbon footprint' is lower than yours, too.

Wait... Who smokes it anymore. lol GM out here eating edibles and taking off to outer space! Weed tea is the only way to go. I make cana-sugar with Morena sugar. Just drop an oz in a mason jar, set it in my instant pot for 40 minutes in high pressure/no keep warm, then let it cool naturally. Then add 150 proof Everclear and let it sit for a couple of days. Then strain through a metal mesh coffee filter (Walmart for $4) into a glass 9x13 baking dish with 3-4 cups sugar (less makes it stronger) and put it on the shelf in a closet for a few days, turning it with a metal spatula about every 12 hours. When it's dry, use it to make earl grey tea. The weed you caught in the filter goes back in the jar with more Everclear until your next batch. That makes the green dragon. Strain and use that Everclear on the next fresh batch and top off as needed to cover. about 75 - 100 mg a tablespoon. Two or three of those in a 30 oz tumbler of earl grey made hot (half tumble), then add ice for the other half, most melts. It will hurt you in a good way. You can get the most potent shake, trim, or smalls at the dispensary to do this. More THC the more potent.

I'm like GM, can't smoke it anymore, since I like breathing. And you could be sitting beside me and have no idea what I'm sipping on. No odor, very little taste difference with earl grey. Lipton is another story.

I already knew that the dispensories in Ohio do not allow vitamin E in their vapes. I only use the ones with cannabinoids, terpenes.

Never had a magic butter. Watched a woman on Youtube make better butter in a slow cooker. I bought my Levo 2, used it like 3 times, and then it breaks. They stood behind it and sent me a replacement free of charge. I was so underwhelmed that I put it in a closet and forgot for over a year. Noticed the price went up from the time I bought mine, listed it NIB for what I paid for it, and sold it right away.

Huh, had never heard of those. I see that it's an all-in-one and you don't have to decarb separately... that would be pretty convenient. Did you notice any strong odors during the process?
It sucks that I'm in an apartment most of the time now. No way I could use my magicbutter here as decarbing would have the po-po at my front door.
Haven't made anything in a while, and now that I've perfected chocolates, I would like to make a tincture and/or some gummies.

The odor was mild at its worst. The capacity is too small. To get a good strong oil, you had to run a couple of batches through.
