The NHL playoffs are happening.I’m into the leafs/Lighting series. Sorry that the Blackhawks and Red Wings are no longer playing. Anybody following the playoffs?

Pulling for the Lightening and Preds. Preds have a tough row to hoe after losing in OT yesterday to go down 2-0.

Pens/Rangers series will probably go 7. Two teams that are pretty even
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Yeah, the Preds are forced to using a back up goalie. It's like trying to use a back up QB in the NFL during the playoffs. Sadly I don't believe it will end well.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I’ve been watching a lot of the Oilers/Kings series. The Kings are having a tough time matching Edmonton’s speed.
And while I certainly don’t count on anything for certain in the playoffs (especially with the Leafs and especially against the two-time defending champs), even in the game they lost against TB, Toronto has been the better team every game. The Leafs are noticeably faster and get to pucks quicker.
Pens/Rangers will be a dogfight. That triple OT game was great stuff.

My Blues are in for an uphill fight with all the injuries on D. Even healthy, they would have a tough time. Minnesota is a very good team.

Pulling for the Leafs though I haven't seen much of the NHL this year. Their fans deserve a cup. Since the Wings have been so hard to watch as of late, I'm following our local ECHL team (Toledo Walleye) in the playoffs. Went to the last 2 games. There's nothing like a raucous playoff crowd in a small arena. They've got home ice advantage throughout, so I'll hit a few more games. Now that the Wings are finally out of salary cap hell, hopefully Yzerman can put together a quality team with a new coach. Seems like the last 4-5yrs, every time they picked up some players I liked, they got rid of them. (Tatar, Anthenesiu, Mantha, etc).

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

But that wasn't the case here. It was a back up. Same as going into the NFL playoffs with a back up QB.

Bolts/Leafs going to game 7. Too many costly mistakes that Toronto keeps cashing in on but barely held on to force game 7.

Well this series was way different than the Toronto series. Considering how Florida came into the series, it seemed like it was going to be a shootout, especially with Brayden Point being out. Instead, Florida looked lost until last night. Going into this series, they've only scored 1 goal in three games, and were never shutout. In four games they scored: 1, 1, 1, 0. So they got shutout in their first game all year and equaled their number of 1 goal games for the entire year. What a wild game too, two goals by Tampa got overturned by coaches review minutes apart. I still don't know how they suddenly found the angle that overturned the first one after 10 minutes of searching. The second one was pretty clear cut and quick. After Tampa's third goal of the game, the entire team quickly looking up at the scoreboard to watch the review to see if this one would actually stick.

Sometimes I think there are made for TV calls. Networks don't like sweeps. They like selling advertising spots.

Yes. Tough loss but the Blues played them tough. Too bad Binnington got hurt but those are the brakes. Colorado has a very good team.

I'm not a huge hockey fan, but with Colorado in the stanley cup it's been a focus around here. I looked into getting tickets for a game, $1000/ticket for nose bleed seats.

Welcome to the world of NHL hockey. It isn't cheap. The Lightening are in. Having ties to the Fla. Gulf coast, I follow the Lightening. I have been to maybe 10 matches when down there. I will be down there next week and it might coincide with them having a home match during that time. I might be a fan, but not so much of a fan I am going to drop the kind of money for a Stanley Cup match. I might drop $200 for a jersey in support. They have a good looking jersey.

Our local ECHL team lost their finals series last night to the Florida team. We went to the 2 home games for 20 bucks a ticket, for lower bowl center ice lol. We did drive an hour north to go see a crappy Red Wings team in the regular season for over a hundred per ticket for uppers, and that was before COVID. I hear they're more now. I can't imagine what Leafs tickets are going for.

Hockey, not this year. Haven't watched it, not going to start,, this year.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Lots of memes basically pronouncing the Lightening dead and the season over after the first 2 games in Colorado.... This will go at least 6 or 7 games, home ice just means too much in hockey.

Whomever wins game 4 will win the Cup. If TB takes game 4 they run the table. If the Avs t-shirt game 4 they close it out on home ice. Bank it.

In 2004, I paid only paid $250 to go to Game 7 and sit literally in the very last row. It was worth every penny. I can't imagine how much a game 7 Stanley Cup Finals ticket would cost now.
Last round I couldn't imagine how anyone could beat Colorado, they are just on another level. After Game 1, I was pleasantly surprised considering Game 1 is usually our worst game and thought we might just steal it. Then game 2 happened and I was brought right back down to earth. Then Game 3 flipped the script. It will still take a lot to knock off Colorado but it should be interesting! Ironically Colorado was my team growing up, I've always gravitated towards the goalies and Roy was incredible. After moving to Tampa, I became a huge fan and went to a lot of games. Ironically my first game I went to, Derek Wilkinson started in goal...the same person I used to see play for the Lumberjacks.
Random fun fact, no matter the outcome, Tampa will break someone's streak. Maroon's consecutive Stanley Cup Wins or Perry's consecutive Stanley Cup losses.

NHL hand delivered Colorado a Stanley Cup. 2 game winners in this series on blatant missed calls. Both goals in this one on missed calls. And another blatant too many men at the end of the game. Congrats on rigging the Stanley Cup.

From Captain Gabriel Landeskog all the way down to the the fourth line you see humble and hard working team players with the right attitude.
The standard set by GM Joe Sakic and Landeskog gives no room for big egos and slackers. The difference between Colarodo and the Cleveland Browns is players culture and great leadership. Good leadership value loyalty and knows how to treat their roster with respect and patience. That counts at the end of the season when everyone is tired and plays with pain.
The Browns will never be successful until they learn those simple things. Take good care of your players and they will reward you with hard work and whole hearted dedication .

Congrats on rigging the Stanley Cup. I was for the Lightening all the way. I think the 6 men on the ice was a good non-call if it was even seen. In no way did it impact the game or the play.
