And progressives are the radical extremists... Pffft. These troglodytes want to take away all American rights to be who you choose to be. They are going to try to force us into the mold of Christo-fascists, so they can feel comfy in their own skin. You can't make this crap up. This is Ted Cruz, the traitor:

She still thinks you smoking a little weed is a drug habit. But then when you live in a backwards world you believe backwards concepts.

To be fair, the Federal government has not legalized weed and considers anyone with a medical MJ card a habitual drug user. This is prohibiting in a NICS check for firearms.

The federal government also has it in the same classification as heroin. That's still backwards thinking.

I don't have a drug habit. I don't do drugs and that includes smoking weed. I don't drink either. Try again. Alcohol kills more people on our roadways and kills more people from their addiction than any other drug with the possible exception of heroin and fentanyl. But just keep making excuses why it's better because it's legal.

I understand that's how you label facts you don't like. If you can't see the fact the government having marijuana classified in the same category as heroin is backwards thinking that's a you problem.
I find it amazing that when it's convenient for some people who claim to stand for states rights they fall back on citing the federal government's rulings to make their point. I guess the right of states to govern themselves only applies for them sometimes.

Though to be honest if you would stop fighting and start listening and thinking you might be able to remember that I am for personal liberty. I don't think the government should be mandating what we can and can't (or must) put into our bodies. You've tried to opportunity to try and throw that back in my face (and failed miserably at it) so you would think you would know. It wouldn't make a convenient rebuttal at this point in time so you will conveniently forget it to further a fight. It is, however, a fact we have to deal with at this point in time that pot is illegal federally and having a state level card makes you prohibited from buying (and owning) firearms.

You cite a federal law as a debate point and then claim that's not the point you were trying to make. Interesting.

She still thinks you smoking a little weed is a drug habit. But then when you live in a backwards world you believe backwards concepts. I don't even smoke it. I do edibles, usually iced tea. PLUS I have a legal prescription and buy it at a regulated dispensary, paying taxes and contributing to the state. But I'm useless due to that. Then she slammed my wife's and my service by calling her retirement check a handout. SMH remove the lib from her favorite word and she is full on what's left. I hope she wears her helmet everywhere.

So they have a policy that allows employees to not sell them if they have faith issues but requires them to call a manager or other employee to complete the transaction.
Imagine if people got upset about forcing people to do things against their belief system.
As an aside, how many people have thus far been denied?

man these right wingers went from "omg liberals crying over roe like it will be overturned" to "well technically the law says this and blah blah blah"
watch. they gonna do the same nonsense with gay marriage. and if that gets overturned, they're gonna be like "Well, ummm, the thing is..."
this is why i couldn't be on the right, or even conservative for that matter. far too many people who don't care about anybody else if it doesn't personally affect them. and then they get mad when an issue pops up that they care about, but get ignored.
that's why i can deal with the far left and these woke white crowd, because at least they're capable of empathy and understand that not everything is about them. they at least show they're willing to try, and don't need a policy to directly affect them positively to know its still better for the majority of the country.
conservatives and right wingers....just so freaking selfish. they're really on that 'screw everyone else as long as i get mine' mentality. and what's worse is that they won't even just be on that. they take it step further and what to enforce their personal values onto others who don't agree with their PERSONAL values.
like, a dude trying to tell a woman what she can or can't do with her own body is just freaking crazy to me. and not one person has ever been able to convince me otherwise. right wingers swear they love freedom until somebody else practices theirs.

Ummm... Doesn't that go with the territory? I mean if you want to be a pharmacist, then your job is literally to fill prescriptions?
Same logic as the marriage license person that objected in Kentucky, and lost.

We should announce our candidacy for POTUS. According to Maddow, Garland is making excuses that if Trump announces he is running in an election year, any investigation requires special consent from the top. SMFH, I'm gonna run just so I can pop some caps and get stone cold away with it. The rep of the DOJ is apparently now more important than democracy. Bill Barr didn't get that memo, but Trump did. How long are they going to let these brainless apes use the system meant to protect democracy against it?

Right now emotions are high and a lot if information gets twisted, if not made up.
Maybe we should wait a while to see what shakes out.
For the record.
1. I am for states being allowed to regulate abortion as they see fit.
2. This is a free country. If a woman wants to travel to another state for an abortion, she is able to do so. If a state tries to prevent that or hold her in contempt, that is illegal. A state as an example can't prevent you from going to Colorado to smoke pot, but they can hold you responsible if you bring pot back to the state.
3. As for condoms, that is just stupid. This may have been some isolated case. If Walgreens as a company decides not to sell them, that is one thing. It's not up to one employee to make that determination. If the employee decides it isn't something they can do, they probably need to find another job. If it is that big of a problem, just have a vending machine for the things or sell them at the pharmacy counter rather than the front counter. Pharmacy counter personnel are trained individuals above and beyond what the front counter clerk might be and are used to selling items that might be considered "private".

I was listening to the radio the other day and this comes from the mouth of one of the house of representatives from texas. She was female but didn't catch her name.
She was firstly that if a woman has an ectopic pregnancy which is 100% fatal if not treated, that she gets sent home and is told to come back when she is septic and on the verge of death to get it removed emergently. This significantly increases the risk of maternal death.
If the doctor intervenes before that they are threatening to prosecute the doctor. Then on top of that, they are threatening to disbar any lawyer who defends the woman or the doctor.
Again I don't know 1st hand but if true this is quite worrisome.
For clarity, the medical risk commentary is mine not the congresswoman's

Then on top of that, they are threatening to disbar any lawyer who defends the woman or the doctor. Good of luck with that, and probably the MD's as well. This is where bullcrap comes from...and I am not talking about you. I can tell you with 100% confidence that everybody is entitled to have a defensive advocate in any court in this land, and no attorney is going to get disbarred for being that advocate. Judges would be reprimanded and disbarred for insisting a person be tried without representation. Even when a person is granted pro se, the sitting judge usually appoints an attorney to sit at the table as 2nd chair to give advice to prevent their being grounds for appeal based ineffective or inadequate counsel. As for MD's, I say probably because I suppose somewhere you could have a MD falsifying information stating that abortion was the only way to save a womans life when in fact there was nothing wrong with the woman or pregnancy. That however would be very isolated where maybe one Dr. was doing that for multiple women. It certainly wouldn't be a widespread deal.

I would agree with you about trying to disbar the lawyers. But they are already attacking the doctor in indiana who performed the abortion in the 10 yr old rape victim from Ohio. And the procedure she performed was completely legal in indiana.
As a physician, I am personally offended by such tactics.

So for a while we are just going to have to sift through the crap. The dust will settle.

And so I guess all the women involved in this extreme political battle will be the casualties until then. I guess someone should tell them they are nothing more than political fodder in the meantime.
